A place of peace and tranquility

by Margaretta C

Staying at the Borgo Bersagliere was a dream come true after waiting for 2 years post Covid. We took  a train to Chiusi Chianciano Terme and rented a car nearby. All the information and directions that Pat and the Italy Perfect team provided us was most helpful as we navigated the road to the estate. Going through the backdoor of a winding dirt road and seeing from afar the famous Val’D Orcia S-lined road with tall cypress trees stopped us at our tracks. We had to get out of the car and just admire the sweeping view. The manager welcomed us and greeted us in the arched entrance of the estate and showed us the apartment on the 2nd floor. Historically, the Borgo Bersagliere is one of the six apartments that used to house families of farmworkers who worked at the estate.

It is an idyllic and ideal place away from home. If you’re looking for a place of peace and tranquility, this is it. The country style apartment was huge and expansive, had high ceilings, a living room with fireplace, a country kitchen and dining area, a lovely bathroom and a spacious bedroom that overlooks olive trees and the expansive, sweeping landscaped garden with the Amiata mountain in the background. At night and in the early morning, there’s a cool breeze with sweet smelling fragrance of the flowers around the place. At Borgo Bersagliere we find sweet rest within, even in the most exhausting times of the pandemic world.  Driving around it’s rolling landscape and enjoying every meandering road lined with Italy’s famous cypress trees took our breaths away. It did not matter which way we took because the picture perfect views all over were truly stunning! Truly amazing! We will come back for more…

Absolutely loved staying at Borgo.

by Nancy F

We absolutely LOVED staying at Borgo. The Tiglio apartment was perfect for our family of 4, my husband and I and our 2 adult children. The setting was idyllic, could not have asked for a better introduction to the Tuscan countryside. The grounds are expansive and a swim in the pool was so refreshing. Our host was incredibly welcoming and so helpful to us in recommending restaurants, and even called around for us to book reservations. We were pleased to find in the kitchen, a welcome basket--bottle of wine, loaf of bread, meat and cheese and of course, olive oil from the estate. We were lucky enough to have the olive oil tasting dinner the first night we arrived. It was such a pleasure to meet the owner, and hear about the estate and the oils produced there. Our stay was much too short as we spent most days exploring the countryside, but it was so nice to come home to Tiglio at the end of the day. The whole time we kept talking about going back with extended family. I would highly recommend this property! We also booked another property with Italy perfect, which was also wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to book any property through Italy Perfect. It was easy and perfect, start to finish!

Borgo Bersagliere Review

by Jim T
We loved our stay there, and Lorena, who was essentially our concierge, was delightful and so helpful. Traveling most of the day and arriving late in the afternoon, it was really nice to have the basics already on hand when we got there. We were invited to dinner onsite later that night with the other guests, and it was absolutely superb: some of the best pasta I’ve ever had in my life. It’s also very centrally located to some of our favorite Italian wine regions (Montepulciano, Montalcino).

Borgo Bersagliere Review

We had a lovely stay there. The staff was really wonderful and the apartment was very large and charming. The unit isn’t luxury in the classic American sense - more comfort, charm and character than pure luxury, but it was exactly what we were looking for and very comfortable. We always try to stay at places that are unique and allow us to feel like we are living there rather than staying in a hotel and this place is exactly that.It also has a lovely courtyard and beautiful grounds.

Borgo Bersagliere Review

Perfect information, perfect service, perfect vacation! I have lived in Rome, Italy for two years many years ago and have spent a great deal of time there. I found the Italy Perfect website, knowing exactly what I wanted. Italy Perfect was able to give me a great deal of detailed information about the rental apartment. Their notes prior to our leaving were extremely detailed and helpful. I will certainly return to them in the future. I am completely confident that anyplace rented through Italy Perfect will be...perfect!

Borgo Bersagliere Review

by Jennifer A.
We recently stayed at Borgo. Our family of 4 was in Beco and my mother stayed in Tiglio. Borgo is an extraordinary destination, and the apartments there are beautiful. They are located in a historic farmhouse on the estate, and are a lovely combination of old Tuscan feel and modern comforts. Our apartment was very comfortable, with a great kitchen and living areas. We were there in June and even though the weather had been very hot in Rome and Venice, it was so pleasant in the hills at Borgo, and we were amazed to be able to sleep with windows open at night. The estate has stunning views with olive orchards, woods and gardens. When combined with the views of the surrounding landscape – cypress trees, ancient hilltop towns and Monte Amiata in the distance – you feel as if you are in a movie. The staff at Borgo is gracious and welcoming, the food is wonderful, and the garden tour should not be missed. Finally, its location is perfect for day trips to any number of beautiful towns. We highly recommend Borgo for an unforgettable trip.
