Florence's skyline much as it has appeared for more than 500 years -- beckoning with timeless landmarks.

Authentic character in the upscale historic center, the spacious Prisco apartment has tall arched windows overlooking Via della Spada with its great restaurants and chic, world-class shopping.

The charming street where the apartment is located has a nice cafe, a delicious bakery, and an excellent rosticceria for delicious baked and roasted prepared foods. Walk two blocks and you are in the timeless Piazza della Repubblica.

Location

The apartment is located on Via della Spada just off of the high-fashion Via Tornabuoni, with numerous major designer boutiques just outside the front door of the apartment building. You can stroll along downtown Florence pedestrian thoroughfares, enjoying outdoor cafes, easy museum access due to the central location, plenty of shopping, restaurants and the best produce market, the Mercato Centrale, all within walking distance. This is the Florence you see in the postcards and glossy coffee table books. The perfect location of the Michaela apartment will help you appreciate the village atmosphere of Firenze.

Exterior

The apartment is located in a six-story Renaissance building. For larger parties in need of multiple apartments it can be booked in conjunction with the Strozzi and Michaela apartments in the same building.

Interior

The morning sun illuminates the living room and kitchen area. The apartment has many original Italian antiques, yet the living room maintains a casual feel with a modernsofa that opens to become queen size bed. The casual feel means you can put your feet up on the coffee table or stretch out on the sofa for a nap.

Enjoy relaxing meals in the open plan kitchen around the large dining table. In the morning stop in at the bakery that is next door to the apartment building and pick out your morning bread and pastries. At night, enjoy a glass of wine and relax a bit before you head out to one of the many excellent neighborhood restaurants.

The kitchen has an English-style gas stovetop with grill, a large oven, lots of cabinet and countertop space, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator with freezer. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes and serving pieces.

The spacious master bedroom is to the right off of the living room, with soaring ceilings and a romantic fabric-draped wrought iron frame queen size bed. In the bedroom there is also chaise longue-style single bed for one. A pretty hand-painted armorie and an antique dresser provide ample clothing storage space. Night stands on either side of the bed provide good reading light at night. The bedroom alone is over 40 square meters, or 430 square feet...larger then many Florence apartments!

Prisco also offers flexibility if you need additional sleeping space, as it can be rented in conjunction with the Strozzi or Michaela apartments which are on the same floor, just a few steps down a private hallway.

If you want to be right in the center of Florence, with all the sites within a few minutes walk, this apartment is an excellent choice. Please note that this is a bustling neighborhood filled with cafes, restaurants and a pub nearby. If you prefer a quiet location, please bear this in mind as the windows overlook the street below where pedestrians can be noisy. The bedroom has double glazed windows which helps to reduce the noise.

Absolutely perfect - will return

by Jessica D.

Our 10 day stay at Prisco was absolutely perfect. Such gracious and helpful hosts. There could not be a more perfect location, minutes from all major sites. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, very clean and well appointed. Although you are right above the bustle of Florence, the sound blocking door in the bedroom essentially blocks out all outside noise. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Gracious hosts

by Melinda R

Gracious hosts. Spacious apartment. Loved the soaking tub. While the bedroom was quiet with the door shut and the windows closed, closing the room off made it a bit stuffy even with the heat turned down in November. Linens were perfumed, so please let the hosts know in advance if this might cause a problem.

Wonderful experience

by Sandra M

We had a wonderful warm welcome from the hosts, so easy to contact. Felt very safe and comfortable. The elevator was so handy. Excellent locks and keys. Shops , cafes , shopping almost on your doorstep. Easy to use cooker and stove. Lots of space in the apartment with beautiful Florentine furniture and all the mod cons too. Total silence in the Main bedroom, plenty of wardrobe space. Palazzo Strozzi across the road! We walked from the train station only 10 mins. Spotless bathroom and kitchen. A suggestion to change the bath to a walk - in shower would be better as it was tricky for us /difficult to shower in the bath. A truly amazing palazzo to stay in and an overall wonderful experience for the 2 of us. The sofa bed in the living room was spotless and comfortable. Some sounds from the street below at night but I always use earplugs anyway when I travel. I love the street sounds During the day. We would love to return and will. Thank you for a beautiful time in Florence.

We very much enjoyed our stay

by Karen B

We very much enjoyed our stay in Florence in this beautiful apartment. It was the family home and you can see that they still care for it greatly. We ordered a welcome basket for two people, and there was so much food and snacks that we had more than enough. Guests should be aware that there is a surcharge for electricity use, but still definitely worth the stay in this beautiful place.

We are so glad you enjoyed the apartment! You may be aware of the serious energy situation in Italy. For that reason, there is an electricity allowance included that is noted clearly in the rental information. If you exceed that allowance, then, yes, you are responsible for just the overage. by Deanne K

This apartment and its hosts made our trip to Florence perfect. They were so attentive and kind, personally walking us through the apartment which is one of the hosts family home. The apartment is very spacious and has a very homely feel about it and is in a great location. We loved our trip to Florence and a large portion of that was due to the hosts and this apartment. Definitely stay here.

Beautiful Apartment

by David and Paula Barnett

We have stayed in the Prisco on two occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The apartment is lovely, spacious and very centrally located. And of course, wonderful hosts! The apartment has everything you need. We have rented apartments (the Stozzi, Prisco and Michaela) from Italy Perfect five times, and cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Florence.

Great, great place and location

by Chuck Holland

See also my comments on VRBO. The apartment is even better than described in the advert. It is roomy and SO WELL LOCATED to sights, great restaurants, and high-end shopping district. Owners are very nice, considerate, and helpful, even alerting me to train issues on departure day that prompted me to rent a car for travel to Venice airport. Use earplugs at night due to location in highly popular neighborhood. I will definitely stay here when visiting Florence again.

Great Place to Stay

by Jenna

This place was such a great find. In a wonderful location for shopping, restaurants, walks. And a great view of the charming neighborhood from the second story windows. Such old world charm in this place, plus so much space. The new electric fireplace was a bonus as we were there in the colder months. And a full kitchen with all the amenities so we could cook while we were there. And it has an elevator so no worries about all the flights of stairs. Our hosts were attentive and welcoming. This is a great place to stay!

One of the best Airbnb's we have ever stayed at.

by Adam S

One of the best Airbnb's we have ever stayed at. And a completely unexpected experience. Arrived a little later than expected and was greeted at the door by the host, she welcomed us in like we were family. There is history to their home that dates back generations, classic furniture and Italian styles, but contemporary appliances and amenities (wifi /washing machine). The street they are on is bustling day and night, as they are right in the center of Florence, but the sound proof bedroom balcony door makes it quite and dark no matter what time of day so you can peacefully rest. We felt as if we were visiting our Italian grandparents in the best part of town, and they left us to enjoy our stay, safe, clean, and prepared for our adventures. Most importantly our 8-month old had everything she needed because they prepared so well for us. Baby chair, crib, soap, etc. it really was just wonderful. Will return soon. Thank you!

Warm Welcome & Comfortable Accommodations

by Tim & Anita

Christmas Eve, our hosts personally welcomed us to their absolutely charming apartment. They took the time to explain how everything works and guided us through how to use the washing machine! They selected perfect items for our welcome basket which we ordered ahead of time since we were arriving late afternoon on Christmas Eve. Absolutely "Italian" and delicious. The Prisco offers a very large bedroom with an amazing comfortable bed. We slept very well each of the 11 nights we were there. Our hosts also shared tour books/information on the Uffuzi, Ponte Vecchio, local restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores! They utilized a map of Florence to show us points of interest including the train station, central market (do not miss!) and where to dispose of our trash and recyclables. The Prisco gives you an old-world experience with all the modern conveniences. Exceptional location to wander around the quaint streets of Florence including the Oltrarno on the other side of the Arno. We clocked at least 5 miles each day. Thanks to the hosts for making our holiday vacation in Florence "Perfect!!"

We stayed in the Prisco for a week in November. Fantastic Apartment!!

by Bob & Cathy Beeson

My husband and I stayed in the Prisco apartment for 4 nights and it was the best experience. The apartment is even better than the pictures….and our hosts, what can we say about them except they were wonderful. Franco met us at the door and helped us get our very heavy luggage up in the elevator and Miki was waiting for us at the apartment. Such a warm feeling as they showed us through the apartment…one that she had grown up in and so many of her family’s antiques are still there. It is so close to everything, we walked to the Uffizi, the Accademia, Point Vecchio, Santa Croce and there were 2 great restaurants just a block away. Also, a fantastic pastry shop downstairs. Just wish we could have stayed longer. When you open the large doors to the street below you watch the town come alive. We will definitely stay there again if we get the chance to go back to Florence…. a beautiful city. Our hosts even called us a cab the morning we left to take us to our rental car agency. If you get the chance to go to Florence, rent this apartment, you will make wonderful memories just as we did!! Thank you for the memories!!

True Italian Old World Experience

by Lisa M

We were met by our wonderful hosts and shown this lovely historic apartment which was their family home growing up. The beautiful original tile and gorgeous full length French windows and doors that you can open are amazing. We loved opening them to see the activity and bustle below. The home has a second set of insulated glass doors that have been added to the bedroom to make it very quiet for sleeping. You are walking distance to everything here and wonderful restaurants just steps away. Thank you both for sharing your home with us, it was a true Italian Old World experience

Old World charm and beauty

by Perry & Lisa McWilliams

We absolutely loved our stay here and can’t thank Miki and Franco enough for their hospitality. Staying here was so convenient to EVERYTHING! We were steps away from wonderful restaurants, bakeries and all this gorgeous city has to offer. I especially loved the historical details of this lovely home and enjoyed opening the beautiful French windows and doors and having coffee or wine. We would love to stay again sometime?

This home and the hosts were amazing!

by Nitin Pillai

Franco and Miki are amazing hosts. This apartment is located in the heart of Florence within walking distance of everything. We had a car during our trip to Italy but parked our car for all 3 nights in Florence at the garage that Franco suggested which was within walking distance. The apartment is huge with all amenities and is very luxurious with a very authentic feel of Florence. I can't stress enough on how helpful Franco and Miki were as hosts helping us out with everything. Just a week before our trip to Florence from NYC I injured my leg playing Tennis and wasn't able to walk much when I arrived in Italy (bummer that I was not able to reschedule our vacation). I had given Franco a heads up on this. He was so kind that he came with his car to the apartment, unloaded all the bags from our car into his apartment and then he followed me in his car to the parking garage and dropped me in his car back to the apartment since I wasn't able to walk much due to my walking boot/cast attached to my leg. He then explained everything in detail in the apartment along with his wife Miki that we really had no questions left to ask during the stay. When we were checking out, he again helped me by taking me to a luggage shop to buy an extra luggage bag to hold all the new things we shopped for while in Florence. And just to say, he is an 80 year old man who is kind and extremely helpful. I can't thank him enough for his hospitality especially with my mobility issues with my injured leg. Definitely recommend this beautiful home and the hosts as they will do everything possible to make you feel welcome!

Best money you ever spent in Italy.

by Chad D

Florence is difficult to communicate with photographs. It’s immense beauty is too large for a single image. This apartment follows that trend: it’s character and it’s location is too rich to encapsulate in an AirBnb listing. The neighborhood is top notch. The hosts are warm and inviting. The space is grand! You’ll look back on this booking as the best money you ever spent in Italy.

by Celeste F

We were so pleased with the Prisco apartment and our hosts. Everything was within a 10-minute walk: restaurants, public transportation, tourist sites, upscale shopping, pharmacies.. everything you can wish for. Our hosts took the time to show us how everything worked in the apartment and where all the favorite places were on a map of the area. The kitchen was well equipped so it was easy to make a few authentic homemade Italian dinners with the fresh ingredients I found at the local market. We felt very safe and comfortable.

Prisco Unit in Florence, Italy

by Ben Wallen

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in the lovely Prisco apartment for 4 days/5 nights. Our hosts were both very caring and instructive about use of the various keys, great local restaurants, and contacts. Lovely and spacious apartment, excellent kitchen, and views onto the street to people watch. The location was perfect: really close to super-market ("PAM"), several different piazzas, awesome restaurants, and of course the Duomo/Accademia/Medici Chapel/Uffizi Gallery and more! Our host's dog Prince was a cutey, too:) We will highly recommend this apartment to our friends.

Prisco Review

by Susan A
My family and I spent most of December through early January at the Strozzi, Prisco and Michaela apartments. The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples with both privacy within each unit and the ability to be together in the larger Strozzi unit for meals and Christmas dinner. The units are located on a very busy street, close to every type of restaurant and shop the city offers. And, it is all just steps from Piazza della Repubblica, and a couple blocks more from there to the Duomo. The owners were attentive and accommodating - bringing us extra dining chairs for the 6 of us to share meals together in the large and well appointed kitchen in Prisco; gifting us with a Panettone at Christmas and offering many suggestions for restaurants and shopping. As we travel to Florence frequently, we found the location to be a centralized hub for walking throughout the city.[Thank you for your lovely review Susan! Prisco Review

by Webers
The Pisco apartment is a comfortable place - stayed here 11 days. It is well maintained and provisioned. The location is perfect for exploring Florence, five minutes walk to Piazza Repubblica, less than 10 minutes to train station and surrounded by excellent restaurants. It is very secure - locked street door, locked door to the common area between the apartments and then your own locked door. The hosts were very nice and informative. It is a noisy area, at the convergence of 3 streets with mostly foot traffic, but there are double windows in the bed room that keep out all noise. We would recommend the apartment and Italy Perfect. Everything went very well with our VRBO Apartment in Florence! We loved it! Franko and Mimi greeted us upon arrival and went over everything with us. They even allowed us to check in early as when we arrived, we were exhausted and it was pouring rain! We took a taxi from the train station and it brought us right to the front door! The elevator helped tremendously because we had large bags for our 3 week trip. The apartment is in the middle of great shopping, eating and touring spots and we will certainly come back here again. We were amazed at the size of this apartment for Florence! It is exactly as pictured and very lovely. It is close enough to walk to the train station and about a block from a grocery store. There is an ATM across the street, a bakery a few doors away and also a travel agency where you can purchase train tickets for a small fee (which was WAY more convenient that doing it at the station). It was an excellent value for the money. Our hosts met us and went over everything with us. One thing to note is that they monitor the electric and bill you for extra so you don't want to leave the air conditioning running or excess lights when you are not there. I would absolutely stay there again the next time that we visit Florence![We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay Marsha. Great location near Uffizi Museum and Academia. We felt very secure behind three locked entries in the heart of Florence. There is a lot of street noise, particularly constant motorcycles and vespas, because of the central location, but master bedroom is not affected because of the super insulated windows. We enjoyed all of the amenities of the apartment--wi fi, tv (which has access to English speaking news and movies), gourmet kitchen with dishwasher and nice sized refrigerator with freezer for keeping ice and the elevator.

I even locked myself out one day and Franco was there in less that 20 mins.I enjoyed my stay so much that I’m going back In October. Thanks again and see you in a few months![We are thrilled that you enjoyed our stay! This is a spacious, clean, and well-appointed apartment, centrally located in Florence. Shopping, groceries, the train station and restaurants are within a few minutes of walking. In fact, a nice aspect of Florence is how easy it is to get anywhere without calling a taxi. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to make a meal in if you want to stay in. The master bedroom has a sound-proof window which cuts the city sounds out at night when it's time to sleep. I think one of the highlights of our stay was our hosts, who made us feel at home, helped with arranging taxi's as necessary and were genuinely interested in making our stay as best as it can be. I highly recommend staying at this property. [We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us! We look forward to working with you again! The Italy Perfect Team]

We stayed a month in Florence in the Prisco Apartment, a beautiful large high ceiling apartment with a very comfortable bed and extremely quiet bedroom (important because it cuts out all street noise). Florence was a great place to take trains to other locations(Rome, Milan, Parma, Venice , Vineyards). While our hosts spoke limited English, they could not have been more gracious and accommodating in answering all our questions in assisting us with our plans. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone traveling to Italy. We really loved the convenient safe location and cleanliness of the city of Florence. The central location of the Prisco Apartment allows you to walk a few blocks to the Duomo and train station and basically anywhere in Florence. We took cooking classes which I highly recommend and found some very special family restaurants. [Thank you for your great review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us! Overall, this was a lovely apartment in a great part of town. Easy to get to from the train stations and is within quick walking distance to everything . Franco and Miki greeted us (we arrived early and they were very accommodating), explain everything thoroughly. Great kitchen and large bedroom., great place. The only thing that I would change was to get new bed sheets which is a really small item. Overall: we were very pleased and would definitely stay their again. 5 stars[Thanks so much for the 5-Star rating! Very happy you enjoyed your stay and the warm greeting. Thanks too for the suggestion about the sheets, new sheets have been purchased!]

The Prisco was as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The location is extremely convenient and within a short walking distance to everything. Our hosts were very gracious and spent time making sure we knew how to manage everything in the apartment. They gave excellent recommendations for dining, provided maps and directions. An American coffee maker, blow dryer and other small touches made it simple and convenient for us. If we are ever fortunate enough to be in Florence again, we would choose to stay here.[We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to working with you again! We stayed in this wonderful apartment for five nights in January, 2019. Highly recommend. Photos on the website accurately reflect the apartment. Large, spacious. Very well equipped kitchen. Our host met us at the apartment upon arrival and he is wonderful. Very gracious and took time to explain everything about the apartment. Great internet access, as well. The location is perfect, very central, cannot say enough about it. We walked everywhere. The Central Market is about 10 minutes walk. An outstanding bakery is about 4 doors away and it is AMAZING. Many restaurants nearby. Grocery stores nearby. An amazing small homemade pasta shop about 3 blocks away. The kitchen in the apartment allows for wonderful meals to 'eat in'. Museums are no more than a 15 minute walk. Stay here, don't give it a second thought...........you will be happy you did (we were!!) Italy Perfect responded very quickly to any questions we had. They were a pleasure; no issues in any way. [Thank you for your great review! We are thrilled that you had an amazing time while staying in the Prisco apartment! The Italy Perfect Team]

This apartment was one of the best we’ve experienced in our travels. Clean, comfortable, beautifully appointed, in an ideal location. The spacious bedroom was perfectly soundproof (and even light proof). (That wouldn’t be the case with the living room—something to keep in mind if sensitive sleepers are sharing the apartment.) We appreciated the warmth and attention to detail of our charming hosts. Enjoyed wonderful meals throughout our six-day stay; Trattoria Camillo was a highlight, dined there twice. We’d recommend this apartment and Italy Perfect without hesitation. [Thank you Sandra, we are happy you enjoyed staying at the Prisco! The Italy Perfect Team]

Our stay for the 1st time in Florence was fabulous! From the prompt greeting by Franco & Micky, who provided excellent instructions and helpful suggestions of where, how and when to visit city attractions, restaurants and tours....to the fun location of this spacious true Italian apartment, we truly enjoyed every minute in Florence. Florence is a walking city with beautiful shopping, museums and don't miss the best attraction, the Piazzale Michelangelo of Florence-spectacular plaza high up on the hill showing off all of Florence! We also took a day tour to Cinque Terra, which we highly recommend....Franco & Micky have information for the tour. Prisco Apartment was perfect for our visit as centrally located to wonderful restaurants, shopping, museums, and walkable to the train station. The apartment is large and spacious with beautiful authentic decor. Micky arranged our cab transportation to the airport when we departed and made sure our stay was comfortable. Franco and Miki were charming hosts. They explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and surroundings, as well as recommending some great restaurants, it's obvious they know the area well. The apartment was extremely clean, well equipped and centrally located. The double pane windows in the master bedroom kept the master dark and quiet even though we were in the middle of the city. Our favorite mornings were spent taking a short walk (about 8-10 minutes) to Mercato Centrale to have an espresso and watch the vendors set up. This market is one of the best we've been to in Europe. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or use Italy Perfect. [Thank you Mark and Sharon, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

As with many of the reviews, the central location was perfect. The unit was neat and clean and spacious for our family including 3 teenagers. The owners took the time to explain everything as well as make some restaurant recommendations and went beyond to go with my husband to the parking lot down the street for our car - explaining the area on their walk back. They were accessible during our stay for any questions that came up. The detailed information about the unit and area as well as Italian customs from Italy Perfect were very helpful. Have already recommended the apartment to other friends traveling to Florence this year. Would stay here again. [Thank you so much, we are pleased you enjoyed staying at the Prisco! Apartment was beautiful, well-furnished and comfortable. It was very warm in Italy and this apartment is air conditioned. This is something I take for granted but the other apartments I stayed in were only partially air conditioned or not at all. The Prisco property is in a wonderful location. Franco and Miki are gracious hosts! Franco offered a detailed orientation to the apartments' amenities ... AC, TV, hot water, laundry room, elevator and even a short walk to locate the local delicious take-out and grocery markets. The quarters are part of Miki's original family home and The Prisco has period windows, floors, accents and furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped! Pay close attention to Franco when he explains how to secure both balcony doors as well as the bedroom door to soundproof the very large bedroom as it works perfectly for a great night's sleep in the city center! Also, I really appreciated the meticulous cleanliness of the rental. Lastly, Franco arranged for a taxi on the morning of our departure. His and Miki's kindness are exemplary.

This is the most perfect location I could ever hope for. Have stayed in other neighbourhoods in Florence but The Prisco property is so beautifully central nestled into the narrow winding streets with lovely independently owned shops and restaurants while still being just steps from Tornabuoni shopping, fine dining and museums. Discovered Procacci, who have been selling all things truffles since 1885 while shopping for gif5s to bring home - also offering lovely small truffle sandwiches and great wines (Tignanello by the glass!) The high ceilings, arched double windows and huge chandelier in the living room create a charming traditional atmosphere while the large kitchens was quite up to date featuring a huge, modern gas stove. But I didn’t come to Italy to cookHosts Miki and Lorenzo were very accommodating and always accessible. "We are so happy to have you stay with us, please come back again soon! The Italy Perfect Team"

Miki and Franco are wonderful hosts - they met us at the apartment and took the time to show us how everything worked and had suggestions for us too - our first visit to Florence so we appreciated the extra information. Overall it was a great place to stay - I would suggest that guests use the air conditioner for two reasons - if window are open it can be noisy - we did not the first few days and were warm at night and the street noise crept into the apartment. Perhaps a fan would be useful but if you turn the air conditioner on it definitely cools the rooms and the street noise disappears -- so do not hesitate to do that - our mistake in waiting to do so.The linens on the bed were freshly ironed it seemed - very comfortable. We would stay again and would also look at the other apartments within Miki and Franco's space. THANK YOU Miki and Franco - they went above and beyond to make sure it was a wonderful vacation to Florence. We would recommend Italy Perfect - very helpful in all aspects. Hello and Thank you for the thorough review! We will pass on your kind words to Miki and Franco, they are great partners with us; Come visit us again! From your team at Italy Perfect

My husband and I stayed in Florence at the Prisco for 5 days. The apartment is large and accommodating to your needs. Our hosts were very nice and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and we felt as if we were invited guests into their home. Italy Perfect gave an apt description of the apartment with some background on the owners of the apartment, which met our expectations. The location is great, which really is in the heart of Florence. The apartment is in easy walking distance of all the important sites, with plenty of restaurants and stores right in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed Café Megara, which is right outside the apartment. Great for a quick coffee, or a lite meal. We also enjoyed L'Osteria di Giovanni, which is right down the street. This is a restaurant frequented by locals, and our meal was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence. For the location and price, the Prisco comes highly recommended. And lastly, Italy Perfect was a joy to work with!! [Thank you Susan, we are delighted that all your expectations were met! The Italy Perfect Team]

The location of this apartment could not have been better. It was a short stroll to everywhere we wanted to see. The apartment I would describe as faded grandeur, original shabby chic. Two very large rooms which were very comfortable for both sleeping and sitting. Although it’s noisy outside (as it is in the heart of the city where it never completely goes to sleep) the additional soundproofing around the window in the bedroom works a treat and you can barely hear anything. With the shutters closed it was light proofed too, so was a great environment for a good nights sleep. We had everything we needed for our stay in the apartment and our hosts were very friendly while being unobtrusive. Florence is a stunning city, and in this apartment you are in the best bit, no doubt. Melissa ( England) “Thank you for the feedback Melissa, we welcome you back anytime to Italy with us! There was a little trouble in telephoning Miki and Franco to inform them of our arrival time, but we finally made contact. Their preferred method of communication is email, but we did not have that address. The apartment was exactly as advertised on the website description and photos. Very comfortable and well-appointed. Any street noise that is distracting in the main room is thankfully nonexistent in the very well insulated bedroom. Miki and Franco are a delightful couple who were very friendly and helpful in explaining the features of the apartment and making recommendations for restaurants, shopping, etc., in the neighborhood. The apartment location is very convenient to all the sights in the historic/tourist area of Florence. We walked just about everywhere. This was our first time using Italy Perfect, and I would gladly recommend them and this apartment.

I'm so glad we picked this location, the apartment was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax after a busy day. I can't tell you how nice it is too to have a place with an elevator! (don't underestimate the importance of an elevator in the city!) Thanks so much for making our stay in Florence wonderful. THE LOVELY GREETERS: Franco, Miki and Marco are the most wonderful, kind people you will ever meet. Their hospitality has no end. I love these folks and they feel like family since this is our 3rd stay in the Prisco. They were kind enough to let me practice my Italian with them and I’m sure I gave them comic relief in the process. Absolutely lovely visiting with them. What incredibly generous folks they are.I was humbled by their kindness. THE APARTMENT: You won’t want to stay anywhere else. Period. Spotless. This place is beautiful with so many wonderful furnishings.....it exudes charm, fine taste, incredibly quiet. Yes, quiet! The plumbing is great, very roomy, multiple places to sit and relax, great functional kitchen supplied with everything you will need, down comforter and extra pillows, huge armoir to store everything you have and more, great view of the street when you fling open the shutters and enjoy the activity below. The bathroom is very nice size and lovely fluffy linens.LOCATION: Near everything - it doesn’t get any better than this. Seriously. Pam market just a few minute walk to gather groceries, wine, etc. Piazzas very close with musical activity and artists, bakery 3 doors down, trattoria 4 doors down- great food! It is only a 10 min. walk from train station. My husband loved that you were just moments away from museums, stores, bakery, etc.EATING: Endless choices. One example - don’t miss going to Verrazzano Cantinetta for lunch which is absolutely charming inside with wonderful breads, dolce, sandwiches, meats, pizzas and unusual salads. I practically drank a quart of olive oil each time with 1/2 loaf of bread, Bought their oive oil and also discover they ship the the U.S. Walk out their front door and go directly across to one of the best gellateria’s called “Perche No” - everything is fresh and made on the premises. SHOPPING: Looking for authentic leather - try Gironico - very nice handbags and briefcases. ITALY PERFECT: I have used their service 3 times and I want y’all to know that detail and perfection are what they are about. These gals take organization to a new level, all questions answered, important details revealed that are paramount, effective reminders, available almost instantly ALL THE TIME! They have a gift for problem solving in a crisis (on one trip when our flight was canceled and an Italian driver was prepared to meet us based on the first flight time info). Lisa/Pat jumped into action immediately and the next message on my phone was - “we have it handled - all is well” along with important details in how to proceed. Internationally, as we all know, things happen and they have an extraordinary gift handling any crisis that should arise and employ excellent time management in the process. Don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy their services. You will not be disappointed. LASTLY: It practically took a SWAT team to get us to leave. We could have moved in permanently - it was THAT nice. We will go back again and not without Italy Perfect as our favorite companion in the planning process. They always have fresh new ideas, even if you have been multiple times. Brava!! Lovely apartment in the centre of Old Florence. Spacious, airy and charming. Nicely equipped kitchen. Miki provided a welcome basket with all the basics you need to get started just in case you are too late for the market. She also gave us a nice bottle of red wine. How nice. The apartment is just a 5 minute walk to the Pam Panorama Market which has lots of food and wine selections for self catering. The apartment has a shared laundry with two other apartments and has a large bathroom with a shower and tub. Marco and Miki were great hosts and were very helpful. It can be noisy at night due to young florentine partiers so you may have to choose between fresh air or a quiet sleep so close the windows.

First, the apartment is charming, comfortable and perfectly located. What makes this place our favorite from our trip ( and we stayed in 4 different VRBO’s) was the feeling that you were being hosted in your Italian ancestors home. My husband had the need to see a doctor during our stay. That was scary for us, not knowing where to go and not speaking Italian. Miki walked us to the doctor and translated our needs on our behalf. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Prisco apartment in Florence in June 2017. The apartment is just so charming and spacious. Very clean, all the amenities you could ask for. Miki and Franco are the sweetest hosts and very organized in getting your acclimated to the apartment and settled in. The location could not be better and we were able to walk all over Florence to everything we needed to see. The train station is a short 10 minute walk away. The only slight negative is the nightclub that is next to the street where people stand outside and are very noisy. If you sleep in the living room on the pull out sofa, the noise can be distracting. The bedroom has extra noise barrier which makes it much more tolerable. All in all, a great place to stay while in Florence and we recommend it highly. Victoria [We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the apartment to be spacious and charming. The bedroom special glass noise barrier does a great job blocking noise. Just a point of clarification, there is no nightclub on the street but there is a pub, and if patrons leaving the pub are noisy, the sound can reach the living room of the apartment. My family of 3 spent 5 days in Florence. We stayed at the Prisco apartment. The hosts made us feel very welcome and helped us sort out all the issues we had. When we arrived we realized that our daughter left her favorite backpack in the train. After a few phone calls, the backpack was found! The apartment is large, especially the bedroom. It can get noisy at night in the living room as there is a lot of foot traffic on the street. The location is close to pretty much all the places of interest in Florence. We only had to take a bus once when returning from the other side of Arno. Caffe Giacosa right across the street is excellent for a cup of coffee and continental breakfast. The tables outside are more expensive but if you order at the counter the prices are very reasonable. There are a lot of restaurants around and quality of food is good. [So happy you felt warmly welcomed and the extra service from our wonderful team, as well as the great location and nice quiet bedroom. We look forward to your return! The Italy Perfect Team]

The Prisco is a really beautiful apartment in a very old building off the Via de Tornabuoni, an elegant shopping street, and just up from the Arno. The living room was very large and comfortable, the bedroom was so elegant, and the kitchen and bathroom were perfect. The windows in the living room/kitchen and the bedroom were nearly floor to ceiling, making the apartment light-filled during the day and romantic at night. Our greeters, Miki and Franco, were kind and attentive and reliable. The apartment could not have been more centrally located. We walked everywhere, including to the Uffizi, the Piazza della Repubblica, the Accademia, the Pitti Palace, and the Duomo. It's about an 8 minute walk from the train station to the apartment. Tips and suggestions: The bakery three doors down from the apartment (Forno Top) has outstanding breads and pastries. We shopped at a couple of small delis on via del Spada for lunch and some dinners. The La Spada restaurant has take-out - ask Miki about that. On our last night in Florence we ate at Giovanni's - surely one of the best places we've ever eaten. This restaurant is about a 4 minute walk from the apartment. We also recommend Ristorante Parione, which is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. We had reservations at the Uffizi and the Accademia, which we strongly recommend. The museum behind the Duomo is not to be missed, both for the doors of the Baptistry and for Michelangelo's last Pieta. St Mark's English Church, just across the Arno, (stmarksitaly.com/music-arts/opera-at-st-marks) hosts a really fine opera company in a small and lovely setting. We saw a memorable performance of Madame Butterfly there. We also recommend Walks of Italy (www.walksofitaly.com), which provides a number of different tours. We went on the day long Tuscany tour to Siena, to a winery with a multi-course lunch, and to San Gimignano, a really charming hill town. We spent a week in Florence and still did not see all the great Renaissance art that we wanted to see. There is history and art everywhere. An extraordinary place. Hats off to ItalyPerfect! We read everything they sent, followed all their instructions, relied on them totally, and were never never disappointed. For example, we went to Frizzoni, the leather shop they recommended, and found a number of reasonably priced purses for our family members at home. ItalyPerfect is a great company. I've recommended them to all my friends, and wouldn't hesitate to rent one of their apartments/villas again. In fact, I'm planning on doing just that.

A friend and I stayed in the Prisco apartment for 4 nights. The apartment is huge and decorated with Old World charm. The hosts are very gracious and gave us lots of information about the apartment and nearby attractions. There is a small collection of business cards from recommended restaurants; the ones we could get into (it was Easter and very crowded) were excellent. There is no street noise in the bedroom but it was sometimes loud for the person sleeping on the bed in the living room. Everything you need--small kitchen, washing machine, wireless internet--is available in this unit. It is also within walking distance of most of the attractions. I also had questions from the rental agency, Italy Perfect and couldn't be happier with the service I received. I recommend this apartment without hesitation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the PRISCO apartment in Florence. The greeters were excellent. They were extremely thorough in orienting us with the apartment and neighbourhood. There was a welcome bottle of wine and other goodies. The apartment exceeded all our expectations. It was very spacious and full of beautiful; antiques which was pleasant surprise. The apartment is located in the old historic part of Florence within easy walking distance of many historic sites, restaurants and stores. We couldn’t have a found a better location to explore Florence. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in Florence thanks in large to the PRISCO apartment. We give it a 5 out of 5.

My husband, my two teenage children, and I stayed at the Prisco apartment during our entire 10 day stay in Florence. The Prisco is a grand apartment, beautiful and spacious, in a grand location, close to everything. We were 5-7 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from the Duomo and 10 minutes from the Uffizi. We were right across the street from a lovely coffee shop, Cafe Giacosa, and only a few store fronts away from an excellent bakery, Forno Top, which was very convenient. Our greeters were a charming Italian couple that spent a lot of time familiarizing us with the apartment and the local area. They were so sweet, we wanted to take them traveling with us. Our only problem with this apartment is that you could hear the noise from the bar below in the living room every night. Our children slept on the pull out sofa in the living room every night and had to wear ear plugs to get any sleep. My husband and I slept in the bedroom and heard none of the outside noise. Lisa, from Italy Perfect was very easy to work with and contact. The typed material we downloaded from Italy Perfect was very informative and helpful, and specific to where we were staying as well. I would definitely recommend Italy Perfect to friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in the Prisco apartment. The apartment was so much larger than anticipated, it was absolutely fabulous. The location could not be better, right in the heart of the restaurants, amazing shopping, there is everything you could want right at your doorstop. Downstairs are a bakery, cafes, small grocery stores, restaurants, bars. Miki and Franco were charming hosts and greeted us warmly and spent a great deal of time giving us all the information and tips we could possibly need. The entire apartment is very spacious, the kitchen and bathroom have all the modern conveniences you could want. The apartment is extremely comfortable, the bedroom enormous and sound-proof so you get a good nights sleep ready for all the walking you'll do the next day. We would definitely stay here the next time we are in Firenze, which we hope will be soon. Italy Perfect made the whole process rather easy and provided us with lots of information to maximise our stay. Very glad we went through them.

We stayed in the Prisco apartment for six nights in early November. Our charming hosts were on hand to welcome us when we arrived and took great pains to show us everything that we needed to know about the apt and surrounding area. The apartment itself was larger than we had expected and was more than comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and a very easy walk to the train station. Although there was some street noise it did not bother us at all. Since we were there in late fall the windows were closed at night and we slept very well. We have already recommended Italy Perfect and specifically the PRISCO apartment to a few friends and would certainly stay there again if we returned to Florence. TIP: on a nice day catch the number 15 bus to PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO and have lunch overlooking the city of Florence. After lunch, an easy walk downhill, cross the river and home.

We arrived a bit late and were greeted by Marco. He was delightful , very, very nice. He explained everything. Later met Miki & Franco, both so friendly & accommodating, very helpful. The apartment was very clean and spacious. It was not lacking anything (except belonging to us!) Felt like we lived in Florence while we were there. The bakery & restaurant down below on the street were wonderful. Seeing all the sights and having a lovely apartment to come back to was certainly the way to go. Great central location. We would definitely recommend Prisco and Italy Perfect to our friends and relatives. Very, very enjoyable!

Prisco apartment is wonderful! We spent a full week there and were so pleased that everything we wanted to see in Florence was just a short walk. The apartment has everything a guest could want, including the ambience of being in the heart of the city. The bedroom windows totally blocked street noise, allowing for a good night's sleep or just a place to hibernate for a bit. We would highly recommend Prisco to anyone wanting to truly experience Florence. Franco and Miki were delightful.

Miki and Franco were so lovely and just wonderful people. They treated us like family. They are very kind, available, very good with explanations, had printed maps and sites for us to see, and wanted to be certain we had everything we needed. Our bus ride was delayed upon arriving and they waited for us and greeted us with open arms. We stayed here in the Prisco several years ago and it is one of the loveliest places to stay, truly! Delightful and enthusiastic hosts! The Apartment: Everything to love about this place: Very clean, nice fresh linens (extra if you need them), very comfortable bed, big open rooms. Our 3rd floor apartment allowed us to view the activity on the street below if you open the shutters, AND...it is very quiet in the bedroom when all the windows are closed. Slept fine, never heard street noise. Fully equipped kitchen that was spotless, nice breakfast nook with bright light to enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast. Nice living room with T.V. and comfortable sofa. Bathroom is very nice with cabinets and shelves to store your travel items. Big mirror with bright lighting, hair dryer included that worked very well. It almost took a swat team to get us to leave this place - we wanted to stay for months - It was so great! Location: Step out onto the street and you have a bakery 2 doors down, and a wonderful little trattoria 3 doors down called, "Trattoria Marione." We ate there and it was delicious. Shopping right near apartment and everything else is within easy walking distance. Restaurants: Some of our favorites that miss the tourist crowd: 1) Giovanni's - and he is the owner who greets almost every guest personally coming through the door, he seats you, the waiters are attentive, but not hovering. The food is extraordinary: a blend of fresh flavors in every dish and every bite leaves you wanting more. 2) Club Culinario Toscano da Osvaldo -authentic and traditional. 3) Verrazzano - great place for lunch with wonderful desserts to add to the mix 4) Gelaterias - you want fresh ingredients with not a lot of fillers: our two choices are, first, "Perche No" right across from Verrazzano and, second, "La Carraia." Pat and Lisa from Italy Perfect: Everyone needs these gals to make travel plans seamless. They are fiercely organized, deliver an extremely comprehensive packet of information that covers multiple areas of interest or potential concern, detail how to problem solve, answer every single email promptly, are kind and generous with their time. I think I overdid it a little with my requests/questions via email, but they never missed a beat - answered promptly each time, always helpful. They're the best! [Thank you for your lovely comments & being such a wonderful repeat guest. The Italy Perfect Team]

Prisco apartment met our expectations and more. It was an excellent choice for my wife and I. You will not be disappointed if you book this apartment.Florence is a walking city. The Prisco is located inside the historic area of Florence which allows for easy walking access to SMN Train Station, major piazzas, shopping areas and great restaurants. It's also a five minute walk to the other side of the Arno River which also has may great restaurants and shopping areas. Our hosts, Miki and Franco, are wonderful. They made us feel at home, made sure we knew everything we had to know about the apartment, and provided great shopping and restaurant suggestions. If you are looking for leather, you don't need to go to leather shops located at the piazzas, just walk a few blocks within the interior for Florence and you will find small mom and pop leather shops with exquisite leather products at half the price.

Our 6 night stay in Florence was wonderful, thanks in large part to our stay in Prisco - a clean, bright, spacious, and well-appointed apartment that was no more than a 30 minute walk to all of old-world Florence's major sites. Our lovely Italian hosts Mikki and Franco welcomed us with a helpful orientation, a bottle of chianti, and spot-on recommendations for restaurants and city sites. The 3rd floor apartment on a lovely cobblestone street had everything we needed, and everything, including the elevator, washing machine and all of the small appliances worked well. We quickly settled in as part of the neighborhood and relished the fact that we could walk the city for hours and come back to "our own place" to lunch on the cheeses, fresh fruit, bread and prosciutto that we bought at the central market earlier that day,(a must stop if you are a foody.) The size of the apartment was more than adequate for the two of us and could easily accommodate a family, (the bedroom alone at 16 x 20 was the size of many studios). With the tall windows open we could let in the sounds of the city which included the every present motor scooters and the chatter of folks strolling around. Thankfully, a sound-proofing full glass door in the small bedroom balcony window reduced most to the street noise at night. We found the Italy Perfect folks a pleasure to work with. The rental process was simple and straightforward, and we found the information they provided to help prepare us for the trip invaluable. We would highly recommend both Italy Perfect and the Prisco apartment and look forward to renting from them again when we return to Florence. Dennis & Helen

Prisco is a very nice apartment with a spacious bedroom and a large living area where we relaxed and watched English-language TV newscasts in the evenings. Although situated on the 3rd floor (4th USA) of a nice old building, the quiet elevator eliminated any need for us to climb stairs. The owners were exceptionally accommodating, allowing us to check-in much earlier than planned. They took time to explain everything we needed to know about using the apartment and recommended excellent restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. They also went out of their way to locate and personally deliver our luggage which the airline lost on arrival. Check-out was arranged the night before we departed so that we could catch an early flight the following morning. Prisco is located about 100 feet from Via Tornabuoni, the most elegant shopping street in Florence. All major tourist sites were within easy walking distance so we covered a lot of ground during our two-week stay. With the main train/bus station only a few blocks away, we found it extremely convenient to make day trips to many other Tuscan towns. Italy Perfect is a well-run online organization. Lisa, our contact, provided very useful information about visiting Florence and promptly resolved all booking issues. We have since recommended Italy Perfect to friends and look forward to our next Perfect vacation.

This is a wonderful, large apartment in the heart of Florence. We walked everywhere from this central location. The apartment is in a building with an elevator - something that was appreciated after busy full days of sightseeing. It is very comfortable, with a large couch in the well lit living room. The kitchen was very nice, and very functional - including a toaster and an American style coffee maker. The bedroom was huge! Once the windows and shutters were closed, there was no sound or light from outside. The bed was so comfortable, I needed to struggle to get up in the morning! The bathroom was very nice and modern, with plenty of storage room. And above all else, the apartment was very clean. I know that we will want to stay here on our next visit to Florence.

We've spent many weeks in Firenze across decades of travel in Italy ... the Prisco apartment is one of the nicest we have rented. Location is fantastic in the main shopping area, close to restaurants, shops and sights ... also only a short walk to the delights of the Oltrarno. What made it extra special, however, was the help we received from the delightful owners, Miki and Franco. I arrived with a sudden and crippling back injury and within hours, they had arranged a wheelchair through the tourist office, which saved our vacation! More drama ensued upon departure! Late on the evening before, my husband discovered that the elevator was not working. It would have been nearly impossible to get me and our baggage downstairs without it. He called Miki and Franco, who promised they would arrive at 8am and that the elevator would be repaired promptly. They were better than prompt, but brought with them the bad news that a lightning strike had been called for that day by the transit workers and an airport taxi could not be pre-arranged. But dear Miki patted my shoulder and told me not too worry, that she would get things in order. Long story short is that the lift was repaired quickly, a taxi waited outside .... I descended and was met by a line of uniformed repairmen who all shook my hand and assisted my husband with loading our baggage and me into our taxi. When I asked Miki how she had achieved this miracle, she told me she had simply explained to both elevator service and taxi office that she had an injured VIP guest at her apartment who MUST make her flight to Paris and on to her hospital appointment there, and everyone rallied to the common goal! We adored the spacious and lovely apartment and will always make it our base in Firenze, but we especially loved meeting Miki and Franco .... two of the dearest people ever. Please give them our heartfelt gratitude for turning a challenging event for us into a delightful memory .... they were lifesavers from start to finish of our stay! And, to Pat and Lisa .... this is our second rental with you (the previous was a week in Rome) ..... We have loved the apartments ... also the info you provide in advance, which is the best and most thorough of any rental agency in a long history of renting homes and apartments in Europe. We applaud you and will remain loyal clients! Sorry it took me such a long time to complete this form .... the back is healing and we look forward to renting with you again!

We were met by Miki and Franco the hosts who were welcoming and delightful. The apartment was spacious, very clean and well ordered even with a stock of milk, coffee and a gift bottle of wine. All the appliances were in excellent condition and the kitchen is substantial and could support advanced cooking. The location is outstanding with easy access to all the main attractions. The information on local restaurants and services was excellent. The entire stay was without problem. It was cold during our visit and the heat is not functional at night apparently due to local law and this made the apartment somewhat uncomfortable after 9pm on some nights. Additional space heaters would be a great plus. Overall we would rate the Prisco as excellent and would strongly recommend it.

We just loved our stay at Prisco. The location is perfect, the apartment very comfortable and the owners very kind and helpful. We felt "at home"! We love to cook and the kitchen had all the things you need to prepare lovely meals (and you can shop at nearby Eataly). Within walking distance you can reach very good restaurants, one of my favorites is Trattoria Sostanza , sipping coffee and drink "aperitivo" at Cafe Giacosa it's a must ( in front of the apartment ) and eating panino tartufatto at Procacci. The shops around are very high quality, be sure to walk at Via della Vigna Nuova, and you will find lovely shops and La Duree to eat the best french macarons! We love Firenze and Tuscany and we definitely will came back, so we recommend this home away from home !! We do recommend Italy Perfect and Paris Perfect as we had rented apartments in both sites and were very satisfied .

It contains coffee, milk, OJ, bread, wine and all the food essentials you need so that you don't have to grocery shop on the day you arrive. There was plenty of closet and storage space. It is our favorite location. We never needed a taxi to get around. All our favorite restaurants were nearby. We plan to use this rental again whenever we return. Our weeklong stay in Prisco Apartment was a most enjoyable experience. The apartment was quite large, very well appointed (the kitchen was beautifully done and would rival any kitchen in the US), beautifully decorated, and perfectly located. It more than met our expectations. The owners, Miki and Franco, were very helpful in getting us settled in and satisfied our every need, even going beyond the norm by presenting us with a bottle of Champagne and a nice bottle of Italian wine to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The apartment was very comfortable and it really felt as if we were coming home when we returned each afternoon from our visit to the wonders of Florence. It was truly our home away from home. The locations is perfect, about 10 to 20 minute walk from all of the many exciting attractions of Florence and less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. It is close to excellent restaurants and just a couple of doors away from a wonderful bakery that became our stop each day upon our return to the apartment. My wife and I are in our early 70's so the fact that there was an elevator was an important feature for us. The streets of Florence can be quite noisy both day and night, but the triple-paned door installed on the bedroom window kept the noise out so it never effected our sleep. We would definitely return to this apartment if and when we are back in Florence. I have already recommended the Prisco apartment to our friends and told them that they must check out the many offerings of Italy Perfect if they are planning a visit to Italy. Once you have stayed in an apartment you will never return to a hotel room. The arrangements for our stay were handled without difficulty and the information provided by Italy Perfect prior to our arrival in Florence was of great assistance in getting us off on the right foot. Thanks to all for everything done to make our stay in Florence so perfect and so very memorable.

We spent 2 weeks at the Prisco and had a wonderful stay. Mikki and Franco were warm hosts who made certain that we had everything we needed. The apartment is very spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen. The location is perfect walking distance to pretty much everywhere you would want to see in the city. Florence is a late night city, especially on the weekends so expect some lively noise from the street below. However, there is very little vehicle traffic. A sound proof glass door has been installed from the small patio off the bedroom and it is 100% effective. The bathroom has been updated and includes a bidet. The only minor issue is that the shower/tub might be too small for a very tall or large person. This is typical of most European baths. Lastly, the wireless internet connection was quite good. There is also a printer available. We highly recommend the Prisco to anyone planning to spend time in Florence who wants gracious, comfortable, and spacious accommodations in a perfectly situated neighborhood. We had a fabulous stay and so will you! We also highly recommend Italy Perfect. All was as described on their website and our stay was everything we could have wanted.

Prisco apartment is very centrally located. It is close to many sites and a short walk to cross the Arno on the Santa Trinita bridge. We were able to walk everywhere. Because it is so centrally located it is in a very noisy busy area. The apartment has heavy windows and a double door system for the balcony. It keeps out most of the noise very well. The trade off is the windows and doors have to be kept shut for it to be quiet inside. The hosts are the owners and take great pride in their apartment. It is large, lovely and decorated with many personal touches. One of the owners actually grew up in the apartment when it included the entire second floor. Our orientation by the owners was very thorough but it was hard to remember everything. A notebook with diagrams about how to work such things as the oven, which is tricky, and the TV, etc would be helpful. We never could figure them out. We enjoyed our stay in Prisco and would recommend it if someone wanted to stay close to the action and didn't mind keeping the doors and windows closed all the time.

I found Trattoria Marione nearby is an excellent local place to savor Tuscan foods; antipasti salumi, pasta burro, riso asparagus, trippa, and bistek Florentine over glasses of Chianti Classico. There are 3 things of importance in an apartment to make your holiday stay great. This place has them . Position - close to the main Railway station-10 mins walk - the Doumo and Central Florence -5-10 mins walk. All the major attractions with in walking distance.Great shops, restaurants, and pastry shops just downstairs, or around the corner. Great Apartment - very elegant and has everything, much you won't use as we ate out a lot, but all you need is there. Most important for the travellers is the presence of a LIFT !! With the proximity of the busy little streets, double glazing of the bedroom made it totally quiet, so a good sleep after a lot of walking daily was both needed, and obtained.there are 2 other apartments in this former home of one of the owners, which do not back on to the street, but we had perfect sleeps. Helpful and attentive owners- the owners met us,explained the apartment, had maps and information books , and were available for advice or help if necessary. We could not recommend this apartment and the owners more highly!

We never got over how wonderful the apartment was--its size, its comfort and its marvelous kitchen. There were no differences in the way it had been pictured and described. The palatial feel of the entryway was a wonderful surprise. The location is absolutely perfect. The Ponte Vecchio is an easy ten minutes away, Santa Maria Novella is 3 minutes in the opposite direction, the Piazza della Repubblica is very close. The position of the apartment with its generous windows looks down upon crossroads that are lively but not intrusive. You get a real feel for the neighborhood. Our hosts had many excellent recommendations for local restaurants and shops. We highly recommend skipping some of the pricey gourmet shops on the Tornabuoni and going to Pegna, a gourmet and everyday grocery store on via dello Studio, 8. We recommend the cashmere shop G. B. Frugone on Via delle Belle Donne, 35, just a few steps from the apartment. We would absolutely recommend this apartment and our gracious hosts. They are wonderful and warm people.

Prisco Review

by Allen and Pat
Allen and I enjoyed our five week stay in the Prisco Apt. in Florence Italy. ( This was our second extended stay in that apartment. ) All remained the same as when we said good bye a year ago - except, and this was very important to us, for a much improved internet connection. Absolutely enjoyed revisiting old favorites ( Ristorante Pensavo Peggio on Via Del Moro, Dei Frescobaldi on Via die Magazzini, ,Perche No? on Via de Tavolini , etc. ) and discovering new ones including Farmaceutica of Santa Maria Novella on Via della Scala, Antico Sertificio Fiorentino (silk factory) on Via Bartolini, Casa Rodolfo Silviero (small museum) on Lungarno Serristori, etc. Love Florence, love the Prisco and hope to return again soon .

Prisco Review

We enjoyed our stay in Florence and in Prisco apartment. We had an excellent stay. The location was perfect for walking to every thing. Franco and Miki are wonderful hosts, very attentive to the needs of their guests. The apartment was very attractive, and fully equipped, lovely furnishings. The kitchen could use a good omelette pan.The location is ideal.  Nothing is too far away. It is close to SITA bus station and main railway station making out of town day trip travel very easy. The butcher, a bakery, sausage and cheese shops are on the same street. A vegetable market is on a next street. One can never forget Rosticceria for freshly roasted chicken, meat and vegetables when one did not want to cook or go out to restaurant.   We made evening dinners from pre-prepared ingredients that were every bit as good as any restaurant meal. We enjoyed shopping for fresh pasta, marinated vegetables, fresh vegetables, meat etc. at the Central Market which is very close. We really enjoyed shopping in Oltrano side just off the bridge for fresh vegetables, fresh eggs and biscotti next door to vegetable market. One can not forget Conad off Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Oltrano for dairy products and day to day groceries etc. The two restaurants next to the building are also good as also Cavalli's across the street. One really enjoys various window displays as you walk by the very upmarket stores in the immediate neighbour hood. The apartment was spacious. The bed room was really noise free when the door was closed to the living room. The kitchen, dining and living room area had three large windows bringing in hustle and bustle of the street and lot of day light as well

Prisco Review

by Stuart and Betsy
Our hosts were terrific - warm and welcoming - as was our experience booking through Italy Perfect. The apartment was well maintained, spacious, and included essential amenities. Prisco is extremely well located and yet the anomaly of being situated at the junction of three streets creates an astounding noise level. The owners have attempted to address this problem by sound-proofing the bedroom, which is quiet with the door shut, but airless. [Note from ItalyPerfect: there is a combination fan/air conditioner in the bedroom.] If you are counting on using the sleeper sofa in the living room, that guest or guests will need ear-plugs. I would recommend one of the interior units in the same building. The materials provided by Italy Perfect, and their responsiveness and overall efficiency were greatly appreciated. We would definitely use this company again.

Prisco Review

by David L.
The accommodations were as represented.  The location couldn't have been better for our needs.  Our only suggestion is this: if your want to see the country side when traveling by train as we did, don't take the high-speed trains.  They get you there quickly but everything is a virtual blur.  We would recommend Italy Perfect and, in fact, we have.  Thanks for a great experience.

Prisco Review

by Allen and Pat
The Prisco was exactly what we expected based on the description/photos of the unit on the Italy Perfect site . The rooms were very clean, spacious and bright. Everything worked (except for occasional problems w/ the internet connection ). The location couldn't have been better - close to everything . The owners were attentive and gracious - checking in regularly w/ us to make sure everything was OK. Places we'd recommend include the following:Salumeria ( down the block on Via Spada) for fresh pasta on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.( We especially enjoyed their truffle ravioli/truffle sauce and their potato ravioli w/ a butter, sage and parmesan sauce. ) Ristorante Pensavo Peggio (Via Del Moro, 51R) for excellent, reasonably priced food . (Try the bread soup, the mushroom pasta, and/or the beef.) Enoteca Pontevecchio (Corso Dei Tintori, 21R) for a fabulous selection of oils and wines that the owners will gladly ship to your home. (Tony , the owner, makes all who enter his shop feel at home. His English is excellent.) Cantinetta Dei Verrazzano (Via Dei Tavolini, 18/20R) for good multigrain bread and superb biscotti. Perche No (across the street from Cantinetta Dei Verrazzano) for delicious gelato . (Try the cinnamon gelato.) Pampaloni (Via Porta Rossa, 99/R ) for exquisite silver and gold objects including jewelry. Ermini (Via Borgo S. Lorenzo 3/R) for fabulous fabrics, ties, and scarves. Sciccherie (Via Dello Sprone 9/11Rosso - other side of the river) for beautiful Italian handcrafted items. There were many other wonderful places we discovered walking the streets of Florence - too many to list here. We had a great stay.  A big part of the good experience was the apartment. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks, Italy Perfect for helping us make this connection.

We stayed 10 days in March in this large clean apartment in the center of Florence. You cannot beat the location everything is within walking distance. Italy Perfect and the owners do a first class job of making sure your stay is perfect. This Apartment would be our go to living accommodation in Florence.

Prisco Review

by T&SM
My wife and I were very pleased with the Prisco apartment in Florence. We stayed 8 nights at the end of February 2012, and everything proved to be "as advertised." The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a modern bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. Italy Perfect provided a comprehensive information package prior to arrival, and Franco was waiting for us when we arrived. The location is outstanding! It just a few minutes walk to the train station in one direction and to the main tourist areas in the other. We enjoyed the numerous shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but it's also just a short walk to just about everything else. We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, and we intend to use Italy Perfect again in the future.

Prisco Review

by David Russell
We enjoyed the accommodation and its location. The apartments [Rome Pasquino and Florence Prisco] were well appointed and importantly for us the internet connection was consistently strong. The location was perfect. Well positioned walking distance to all the major attractions. There are many memorable locations and unfortunately we can't remember all the great restuarants by name, however, we were successful in wondering around and relying on instinct in terms of good restaurants. I would definitely recommend Italy Perfect to a friend. The apartments are consistently excellent.

Things to See & Do

Duomo (5 mins Walking)
Florence's famous and glorious cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore, beautiful to gaze at since the 1300s. Don't miss and, if you can, read about -- then visit the amazing dome by Brunelleschi erected without scaffolding!
Piazza della Repubblica (5 mins Walking)
A great piazza of Florence. The shape reflects its role as the forum in Roman times. Now it has fine palaces and a triumphal arch and colonnaded sidewalks. You will see street artists, impromptu musical performances and a colorful merry-go-round. Glitterati in the fancy cafes.
Piazza della Signoria (9 mins Walking)
Center of power of Florence since ancient times with the David statue by the Palazzo Vecchio, the ancient seat of government, and the loggia of dramatic statues each of which has a story about politics and power. Imagine the Bonfires of the Vanities here and the triumphal return of the Medici.
Accademia (10 mins Walking)
Home of the original David by Michelangelo, his dramatic Bound Slaves and a very nice museum.
Ponte Vecchio (10 mins Walking)
Awesome ancient bridge over Florence's Arno river that has survived 800 years. Famous for the shops of goldsmiths along its length.
Uffizi Gallery (10 mins Walking)
One of the greatest museums in the world. The defining collection of Renaissance art. A tour is recommended.
Pitti Palace (20 mins Walking)
The famous Medici family's home, it is a large museum with many fascinating galleries. It opens to the large Boboli gardens that may be visited separately. I the origin of the Vasari Corridor, an enclosed, protective "bridge" between the palace and the Medici offices at the Uffizi.

Public Transport

Santa Maria Novella Train Station (9 mins Walking)
