Excellent Stay
We had a lovely stay at the Michaela Apt. Gracious hosts and the location was perfect. There is a supermarket, bakery, great restaurants and high end shopping nearby! The apt is in an older building but has a elevator which was most helpful with our bags coming and going. There isn’t an oven but a stovetop, coffee and tea pot, refrigerator, dishes, cutlery - basically everything you need for simple cooking! The water pressure was low (not unexpected in an older building) but the shower did the trick ! I would recommend the apt and hosts!

Location! Location! Location!
Our friends reserved the Prisco and then we booked Michaela. We had the entire suite to ourselves and felt very safe in the heart of the designer shopping area of Florence. We were within walking distance of the train station, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Mercado Central, the grocery, and so many beautiful plazas. We were at My Bakery (3 doors away) nearly daily and the Tratteria Merone next door a couple of times. Our hosts, were most gracious. We were comfortable here during our 3 week stay - with zero problems. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus & we had everything needed in the kitchen. Fresh linens were provided each week which provided an opportunity for our hosts to check in on us. I would stay here again as we loved the area & always felt safe day & night.

Fabulous Location And Charming Old Building
The location is really wonderful and pretty easy walking to just about everything. It's also an evocative old building - beautiful and unique. There are the normal challenges of such a thing like variable water pressure and no screens on windows, but those are small things to manage for such a lovely, historical place to stay. The bed was comfortable, the two bathrooms were a plus, and we found the kitchen well stocked for our needs with a coffee maker, kettle and microwave. Access to a washing machine was much appreciated. We were certainly grateful the elevator was working while we were there and it's quite fun to operate. The hosts are charming and the check in process is very thorough as they make sure you understand how everything operates and how all costs are considered. They were also very helpful with the map and understanding where we were located in the city and offered excellent suggestions for where to eat or get take away. There's a supermarket a short walk away and quality restaurants all around with a wonderful bakery practically next door. They even helped arrange for a taxi for us upon departure!

Amazing Apartment in The Heart of Florence
This charming and spacious apartment is perfectly located to explore Florence. As first time visitors it couldn't have been better for us, and the furnishings and rooms were very lovely and comfortable. Everything we wanted was nearby and our hosts were welcoming and informative hosts. The best of Florence is just outside the Michaela's door, and we felt a bit like residents instead of visitors!

We are just back from an eight-night stay in the heart of Florence, mere steps away from the Santa Maria Novella square.Our hosts were wonderful hosts, turning over a spotless and charming apartment after an introduction that included restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The apartment itself was bright, well furnished, and extremely comfortable - it quickly became like home. It’s right in the heart of the action, in a very safe and secure location and building. This apartment and these hosts earned and deserve our highest recommendation.

Wonderful apartment
Perfectly located in the historic district of Florence, Michaela was quiet, had a comfortable bed, 2 baths and a kitchenette. Our hosts were terrific and gave us suggestions for restaurants. The building was secure. We were able to control the temperature in the apartment and use the washing machine and drying rack. We will book this place again, or the larger Prisco apartment on the same floor, which has a full kitchen.

The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-appointed in an excellent location. The owners were friendly and made sure that the apartment was ready at the time of our arrival. We found excellent restaurants on our street (Via Della Spade) and we walked everywhere in Florence (Duomo, Uffizi, Oltrarno, Piazzale Michelangelo, Santa Croce, Piazza Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, etc). It's an easy walk, even with luggage, from the train station. We like this apartment so much we have stayed in it twice and will stay here again during out next visit.

Great Location and hosts!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Michaela apartment. The apartment was clean and spacious, having everything we needed. 0ur hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Loved the aroma of the bakery nearby wafting in through the windows in the early morning hours. Air conditioning was not always working but the cross breeze from the windows allowed for sleeping. Close to many attractions in a very vibrant and beautiful city. We walked to most of the places we wished to see. Good restaurants nearby and great Gelato shops on the other side of the river near Ponte Vecchio bridge. The apartment is safe and secure with a lift small and quaint but totally reliable. Our wine tour to the Tuscany countryside was a highlight and to escape the busy city for one day was glorious and not to be missed. I would definitely recommend it to travellers who want to be centrally located in a walking city! Many thanks to our hosts and the Italy Perfect team.

Our hosts were wonderful and we had a great stay in their apartment! The location was perfect, very central and a 10 minute walk away from the Duomo. They were present at check in and check out and provided lots of helpful information that helped us feel right at home!

What a wonderful experience!!! The location was amazing, the apt was adorable, we felt like we were being invited into Nonna's house. Having two bathrooms was a dream and made it so easy for two girls. It felt safe and secure and best part it was literally 5mins away from the train station which made our travels effortless. In the Heart of Florence!
Location, location, location! All reviews for the Michaela apt. mention this. It is in the very heart of Florence, walking distance to all major attractions and high end shopping. Proximity to the train station makes getting to Venice, Rome, Pisa, and the hill towns, very doable day trips. A 1.5 Euro bus ticket gets you up to Fiesole or Settignano to the idyllic countryside high above Florence. We enjoyed the Michaela apt. for three weeks. But as seasoned travellers and having visited Florence several times before, we did find the city extremely busy….much busier than ever before. So be forewarned, especially if this is your first visit. Streets are narrow, cobble stoned and clogged with people, cars, scooters, bicycles and suitcases Comfortable, sensible shoes are a must..no heels! The hosts as delightful and helpful as everyone says. They are always there at a moment’s notice. During our visit, they upgraded the internet so we had great connectivity. English TV though was limited to a single news channel. The apt is just as it appears in the photos and we enjoyed asking Miki about her childhood when the three apts. were her family home. Delightful baking smells waft up each morning from the bakery downstairs tempting you down for breakfast goodies or paninis. Best to keep things simple re cooking as the stove is only two burners. However, PAM grocery store is very close and you can easily pick up groceries and wine. No shortage of great restaurants . Osteria Bella Donna is close and has a working wine door, popular with tourists. The old fashioned cage elevator works fine if all tenants respect the guidelines. Our host explains that process very clearly. However, you might have to climb a lot of stairs should it occasionally be out of use . We had a visitor from Rome who remarked on our unusually great water pressure. Bathroom off the kitchen is modern and has a spacious shower. Hide a bed is firm and comfortable.

We enjoyed the hospitality at Michaela. What wonderful hosts! Not only did they explain the apartment, they pointed out places on a city map to see during our visit. The location is close to the SMN train station, bakery, grocery, museums, dining options and shopping. The clean and well-furnished interior made for a great stay. Michaela offers a quiet location. The kitchenette was fine for breakfasts. If you're planning on cooking substantial meals, you might consider the full kitchen in Prisco, which is next door.

My family and I spent most of December through early January at the Strozzi, Prisco and Michaela apartments. The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples with both privacy within each unit and the ability to be together in the larger Strozzi unit for meals and Christmas dinner. The units are located on a very busy street, close to every type of restaurant and shop the city offers. And, it is all just steps from Piazza della Repubblica, and a couple blocks more from there to the Duomo. The owners were attentive and accommodating - bringing us extra dining chairs for the 6 of us to share meals together in the large and well appointed kitchen in Prisco; gifting us with a Panettone at Christmas and offering many suggestions for restaurants and shopping. We shared two apartments with our relatives at this lovely memorable location. Franco was an amazing and kind host and was extremely helpful despite some language difficulties. He even left us a bottle of wine. Our apartment was lovely and spacious and was perfect for four as we had two bathrooms. We had a little difficulty with a couple of the air conditioning units but I think that was because we are not technical! The bedroom was beautiful and we really felt as if we were a part of the apartment community. The building has so much history and the ancient automated entrance door (which did require some patience!) opened onto a lively street, yet the apartment was very quiet.We were central to everything and would definitely come back again! How do you have a special visit to Florence? Start by renting a wonderful villa! Centrally located, the Michaela was 8 minutes or less to everything we wanted to see. The apartment was spacious and offered us the opportunity to relax midday or one in our party could sleep in due to the separate living room, kitchen and two baths! The proximity to the bakery, market and neighborhood type restaurants made for an enjoyable stay. Our day trip to Siena was easy as the bus station was so close. Location, location, location! It was a great location. Close to everything and such nice people who owned the apartment. Franco was very helpful and easy to work with - when you had a request, he was Johnny on the Spot. Very convenient - Three steps to the bakery and about 7 steps to a local restaurant Trattoria Marione (I ate there 3-4 times, reasonable and really delicious); also close to a small grocery store and another good restaurant La Spada. Restaurants don't open till 7:00 pm for dinner. Taxi from the airport was about 25 euros and efficient. Walked most everywhere else - really easy and convenient. Apartment was good - small kitchen but very useful and two bathrooms - air conditioning and the elevator worked. My daughter who stayed a few days said the sofa was a lot better sleeping than she thought it would be. I used Veronica Ranucci as a guide and she was delightful - I can highly recommend her. We were right in the middle of old Florence. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It was walking distance from almost everything: the sites, food, and shopping.The owners were friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with this apartment located just a few minutes from the Duomo and within easy walking distance of sites on both sides of the Arno River. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The hosts were quite gracious and friendly. What we appreciated most was being about to come back in the afternoon to rest up after our morning's experiences, skip the heat of the afternoon, as well as the crowds, and then head out again in the evening. The bakery and coffee shop, as well as the Pam grocery, all within a block, were also appreciated.

Mikki and Franco met us @ the apartment check-in; lovely couple who took time to hand markup a map of Florence with the apartment location as well as giving us the walking times to all the sights. They recommended 4 local restaurants (we tried them all and all were fantastic), each of which was great (both service and food). The apartment is spacious and in a perfect location. Attention to detail in the way the apartment operation manual is laid out (pictures and hand written captions on how all the stuff works. Little details like night lights on the step up and step down from the bedroom to 1 of the 2 great bathrooms indicate a lot of thought has gone into the apartment. My wife and I spent four nights in the Michaela apartment, and greatly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was neat and clean, and the location was perfect for touring Florence, and was an easy walk to the train station for touring other cities in the region. The owners son met us as arranged and walked us through the entire apartment. He spoke very good English and was very welcoming. The apartment is perfect sized for 2 -4 people, with one bedroom, two bathrooms, a small living room and a simple kitchen and dining table. It's three flights of stairs to walk, and there's a lift for those who don't want to. The apartment was fairly quiet except for the bakery down below. I recently returned from Florence after an extended stay. The Michaela apartment was very comfortable and totally supplied with everything needed from American coffee, kitchen and bathroom soap, tissue, good hairdryers, and enough food supplies for days.Their apartments are only a few steps from the famous Via Tornaibuoni, 3 blocks from the Piazza della Repubblica, very near the Duomo, San Lorenzo, Palazzo Vecchio, The Uffizi, Santa Maria Novella and a supermarket all within a short walk. A Perfect Location! The restaurants in the neighborhood were very good and I must recommend Osteria Pastella on Via della Scala (4.5 stars and not expensive.) The most surprising thing about staying there was the landlords (Miki, Franco, and their son Marco.) They seem invisible until you need something they magically appear. They quickly respond to every request, are kind, generous, warm and extremely helpful. They even provided an Italian Go phone that allowed me to make reservations and contact friends at no cost. I highly recommend any apartment of theirs. They made my stay so easy and comfortable. The best fringe benefit of the MICHAELA apartment is that there is a bakery on the ground floor, and at about 11:00 PM the aroma of baking breads, cakes and cookies rise up and waft into the apartment, if the windows a partially open. This is a beautiful, well maintained apartment that is close to all the chief sites in Florence but on a reasonably quiet and very pleasant street in the heart of town. The appliances have been updated and everything works. I would highly recommend the apartment to my friends and family. The owners are very much available if ever needed and spent a considerable amount of time in explaining the various details that made our stay enjoyable and the shops and amenities in the neighborhood. The owners could not have been more accommodating. For example, they endeavored to arrange a cab for us while we were checking out but even with multiple calls, no cabs were available. Rather than allow us to miss our train, they each grabbed our luggage and walked us to the train station and even stayed when we got there to show us the correct track to get on.

It was within walking distance of almost anything you would want to see, and there was a wonderful bakery, a great deli and some wonderful restaurants all within a block or two. We enjoyed a 10 night stay in Florence in this large apartment. The location is absolutely wonderful, a couple of blocks from the river and a view of Ponte Vecchio, a few blocks from Il Duomo. Art everywhere, restaurants, coffee, the best shopping (high end anyway) in Florence. Live like a local. The apartment is up a few flights of stairs, or via a small, but convenient lift. Several sets of keys to get to the digs, as it is one of 3 cut from an older, very large apartment. Lovely host and hostess meet and tour the apartment, and are easily available during your visit to arrange things or answer questions. Their English is not very good, but they are very communicative and fun to speak with. Furnishings are far from antique or high quality, but are functional. The outside of the building is getting a makeover, particularly the roof, so there were workers during the day. The inside is also getting some work, and the lobby is dusty and has concrete bags laying around. We discovered, deep in the night one evening, that there is a bakery in the basement of the building. It was quite noisy, but less noisy after the host/hostess spoke to them the next day We kept windows closed, and used a "white noise" feature on phone from them on. This is living like a local, and we much preferred to a hotel, particularly for the cost and the space we enjoyed. We would return. Ciao! Our eight day stay at the Michaela immeasurably added to our enjoyable visit to Florence. As advertised the apartment was conveniently located near all the great city sites yet was still accessible to many fine local dining choices. We had booked a walking tour well in advance and were pleasantly surprised that we were to meet our tour guide only 100 yards up the street at Piazza Stroza. Talk about convenient. The apt was roomy and we especially liked having two nicely appointed bathrooms. Only draw back was the English speaking channels on TV were few and limited to news programs. This was off-set by being able to stream Netflix and proved a minor shortfall since we usually returned home well fed and content after long days walking the beautiful city and there little need for a TV. We highly recommend Italy Perfect for a warm local experience. Would love to come back for another extended stay.

We were very pleased with our stay in this apartment. The apartment is within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do, and we were able to walk to the train station on arrival and departure (10 minutes). Because the apartment is very quiet, facing a courtyard and not the street, it was always a surprise to open the front door of this beautiful building and step out into the bustling center of Florence. The area around the apartment is packed with restaurants and there is a very small food shop (for yogurt, milk and the like). Larger grocery stores are farther away, but still within walking distance. The second full bathroom was a plus, as well. Finally, our hosts were charming. They gave us a thorough orientation to the apartment and the neighborhood when they handed over the keys. We did sneak a peak at the Prisco apartment, which used to be the main living area of this family's flat, and it is stunning, with high ceilings and beautiful details and a full kitchen. However, we preferred the quieter placement of Michaela at the end of the hall. One thing to note is that this is a spacious, comfortable apartment, but it is not a luxury hotel. Towels are line dried, which means a bit scratchy, and sheets aren't changed daily. But, this is what we were expecting and it suited us just fine.

A lovely respite
From the moment we opened the front door to the apartment Michaela, we knew we weren't in California anymore! It oozes the European feel we wanted and the location was ideal! Two bathrooms were a treat as was the large bedroom and kitchen! A lovely respite after a busy day exploring an amazing city. I would recommend having some basics like plastic wrap, sugar and more garbage bags. Late at night and early in the morning the adjoining bakery could be quite noisy. Closing the windows helped but I think in warmer months this could be a problem. Despite those suggestions we loved our 6 days there and have already recommended it to friends! Favorite restaurant? Trattoria Casalinga in the Oltrarno but close by the apartment. Great value and a deliciously authentic experience!

Perfect location and great apartment
Perfect location and great apartment, but what makes it even more spectacular are the hosts. We stayed in the apartment from Dec 28 until Jan 1. Florence was filled with tourists and new year's eve partyers. Our hosts, Miki and Franco, tried to unsuccessfully reserve a cab the night before for our early January 1st airport departure due to all of the partyers still filling the streets. Instead - they suggested we get up early and call. Time was winding down, it was 5 am and we were desperate to get ot the airport. As a last resort, we called Franco. Without a fuss he picked us up and drove us to the airport. Both Miki and Franco took excellent care of us and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Florence. Very Spacious
We stayed in the MIchaela apartment for 8 nights in September, 2015. The location is perfect to visit all major sites, and is a short walk (under 15 minutes) to the Duomo, the Ufizzi, the Bargello, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, San Lorenzo neighbourhood and church. It is about five minutes from Santa Maria Novella and Piazza della Republicca. The location is great, but that also means that one finds oneself in the heart of the most touristy part of historic Florence. On balance, the value, amazing apartment, and proximity to all sites, as well as the truly lovely owners, would have us rent it again, but it definitely bothered me (me much more so than my partner). The apartment itself is very large by European standards, with a large bedroom, brand new bed (we were the first to sleep on it), sitting room, and dining area. There were many family photos and other items that made the apartment feel like we were truly staying in someone's home, and it was lovely.The apartment was spotless and the owners extremely helpful and friendly. The washing machine was efficient and the drying racks were helpful. There is a computer in a central area shared by the three vacation apartments that once formed part of one large apartment. The only thing that would have been easier would have been some instructions on how to use an Italian computer keyboard and make the printer work -- it took some figuring out but eventually I got everything to work to print train tickets. A person not really used to computers would not have been able to figure it out. My luggage was lost and the owners dealt with the airport and arranged to be present for it to be delivered, which we found extremely gracious. This apartment was very spacious for two of us, and would easily accommodate two more people with lots of privacy as one of the two bathrooms in the apartment is essentially an ensuite and there is a door that shuts to the living room. The air conditioning worked very well, there were two drying racks and ample kitchen supplies. I strongly recommend taking the time early in the morning to visit the Mercato Centrale for foods, etc. They open at 7:00 close at 2:00, so we only went once, but if I were to go to Florence again I would definitely find a way to do that. The cost of food, selection and quality were superior to the other places nearby, although they were fine too. There is a great bakery just outside the front door to the apartment building which is not to be missed.

The Michaela was a wonderful apartment . Most important to us was its great location. We never took a taxi as we could comfortably walk to every museum, restaurant, gallery or store from the apartment. All our dealings with Italy Perfect were easy, clear and timely. Accommodations: Lovely extremely LARGE apt. It had TWO bathrooms, one very large bedroom and an extremely large dining room/kitchen area. Of course it had a living room too! Pictures were accurate. Rooms had large windows, making it very cheery. The private floor that the apartments were on were extremely well decorated, with very personal and artistic touches, oil paintings and all. The windows were soundproof, which was good, because we were in the heart of the city. Would stay there again, but would try and get one of the apartments that had a balcony. Probably because I LOVE to sit outside and eat or just relax. The apartment that did have a balcony [Strozzi apartment] was on an inside courtyard, which means it would be very private and quiet. Location: Was exactly where we wanted to be. We had several one bedroom choices, but picked this one, close to the River and centrally located in the middle of most of the museums we wanted to see. GREAT! Italy Perfect: If you EVER go to Italy you MUST use this company. Since really good travel agents are extremely hard to find (especially since the internet). Dealing with this company was like using National Geographic tours or another five star company like them, only at much less the cost. Pat & Lisa give you the best service. They have researched EVERYTHING you need to know about the city, where to go, what to do, were to eat and shop for groceries, best means of transportation,etc. I have traveled to many countries around the world, most of the trips I planned myself, unless they were to very remote areas. I had to do very LITTLE research because Pat & Lisa share their wealth of information with you. They even contacted me via e-mail, when they were in Italy, while I was planning this extensive trip ( we stayed in 3 different apartments in Italy) ! How is that for great service! I don't even know where to begin. From the beginning, the communication with Lisa was great. She got back to me in a timely manner and answered all my questions thoroughly. I loved all the information I got from Italy Perfect about the customs and helpful hints. When we arrived at our property we were so excited! It looked EXACTLY like the pictures. It was perfect for our family, it was even bigger than I expected. The owners were there to greet us and they were the sweetest couple. They were so helpful, they showed us around and gave us a map of the area.We loved Florence. I left part of myself there, so I will be back. We used Florence as our home base and made several day trip via high speed rail to Pompei, Rome, Pisa (we used the commuter rail), and Venice. The location of our apartment was perfect. We walked everywhere, we were close to the Duomo, which is amazing. The neighborhood was safe and I felt so at home. I found that street vendors in Italy can be quite aggressive we quickly learned to just not make eye contact and keep walking. If you stop to even look at what they are offering, it can be difficult to get away because they are very pushy.There is a huge indoor mart close to the Firenze train station and you can buy all sorts of fresh food items. We left with cheeses, salamis, and olives. The atmosphere was authentic Italy.I would definitely recommend Italy Perfect to anyone visiting. I will be using them again when we return in the future. We stayed at the Michaela apartment in mid-June for four nights while visiting our daughter who is doing a college study-abroad program in Florence. The location of the Michaela apartment is absolutely perfect for exploring Florence -- you can walk to everything. In preparation for our first trip to Florence I was happy to learn about Italy Perfect and their rental properties. It was so easy to talk to Lisa from Italy Perfect since she is located in the states and language is not an issue. She recommended "Michaela" which turned out to be "perfect" for the three of us. The apartment is located in a very nice high-end, boutique district of Florence with great and affordable restaurants near by. The apartment building has a lift so managing our bags was not a concern. Miki and Franco, the owners of the apartment met us and assisted us if we had any questions or needed directions. The apartment is lovely and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and having two bathrooms was nice. Since the apartment is located in the city one should expect some city noise. We did not have a bad meal in Italy. That being said, we highly recommend L'Osteria di Giovanni for a great food experience.

The whole operation was classy. We received very useful information from Italy Perfect before we left. The greeters were prompt and gave us information that was helpful in operating the appliances, trash locks etc. The location was perfect. It was about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo and 8 minutes to the train station and about 5 minutes to our favorite gellato shop. We walked everywhere and took some day trips to Luccia, Pisa and Siena. I felt very confident from the first communication with Lisa that this was going to be a very special experience. Both my husband and I are assumebly well travelled and described to Lisa our requirements in terms of location, type of area etc., that we were looking for on our trip to Florence. Michaela was perfecto! Great street to open our doors to in the morning! Quality shops were around the corner, markets, artisans and the list goes on and on. We especially enjoyed the Saturday morning artisan market (near the Novella ) eating on warmed benches under the Florence sunshine.Our hosts went above all expectations as we drove into the narrow streets when we first arrived (lost and about to enter a one way street the wrong way) to personally walk to our car and take us to the appartment. And then, taking us to return our rental vehicle as Florence is definitely not a driving city! On our last day, again taking us to the airport to ensure we were there on time and without any hassle. The Michaela in Florence was a wonderful accommodation for my husband and myself, it was even better than the photos, very clean, convenient, and our hosts were informative as well as friendly. The apartment is so comfortable and charming, as is the entire building that I can't imagine anyone complaining about a thing. Loved it. Italy Perfect matched us exactly with beautiful place in a beautiful city. We would definitely stay there again. One thing you should do is go to the market at San Lorenzo for fresh groceries - wonderful, and then go back in the evening for dinner in the second level. We loved this apartment, perfectly located in Florence within easy walking distance of everything. Plenty of room, comfortable, well-equipped, peaceful and private, it was the absolutely perfect place for my husband and I to call 'home' during our visit. Our greeters were delightful, and took a lot of time showing us around the apartment, showing us how things worked, and giving us some hints and tips on places to eat. The apartment is very close to the Ponte Vecchio, and within very easy walking distance to all the famous sites. We found some wonderful restaurants and can highly recommend La Cucina Del Garga, Enoteca Coquinarius, Il Barretto and the 'food court' in the Mercato Centrale. We bought the 'Firenze Card' so we didn't have to stand in line when visiting the various sites - it's definitely worth it for the line-skipping alone (we spent four days in Florence in mid-Sept). We have already recommended Italy Perfect to several people, we are very impressed with your company!

The apartment is exactly as described. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern. The kitchen is adequate for warming take-out meals, though not for ambitious cooking. What the description leaves out are the apartment's two great assets: (1) The owners are friendly and extremely helpful in every way. For example, they gave us a ride to the train station. (2) The apartment is very conveniently located for sight-seeing, as well as for everyday needs. These is an excellent coffee shop right across from it, a small grocery store down the street, several widely recommended restaurants within two or three blocks, and the main train station a short walk away. The accomodations exceeded our expectations, centrally located for touring Florence, easy access from the train station, in an upscale shopping area. Apartments was very quiet with use of a washing machine, internet, secure apartment with very spacious and modern bathroom. Sleeper sofa was easy to use and comfortable for 2. No real view but you can't beat the price on this one! We would return and have already recommended to close friends. Micki and Franco were very kind, thorough and helpful. Lots of great little restaurants in the area. Gucci and all of the top-end stores are on the same street, so very nice location. Try out Casalinga (they don't speak much English, but worth it!) across the Arno river in the Oltrano area or Marione - have the steak and potatoes with rosemary, yummy! Recommend the Uffizi, the David at the Accademie, tombs of Galileo and Michaelangelo at Santo Spirito, the Museo at the Duomo and definitely "Florence for Foodies - add on the tour of David" - it was just the best way to learn about the food of Florence - you'll also learn about the very best gelato in the world, right in Florence...I highly recommend Italy Perfect! We also took 2 tours from walkaboutflorence.com into the Tuscan countryside (visited an organic farm) and the Cinque Terre walk, both nice if you are spending 5-6 days in Florence.

What a wonderful place to stay in Florence!! The friendly greeters, Miki and Franco, were so welcoming and helped us get a feel for the city and the apartment. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for a studio apartment, and it had everything we needed, from pots and pans to internet access to a laundry closet down the hall. The furniture is really space-efficient, and all of the cabinets and the whole kitchen unit have sliding doors. It gave us some great ideas for furnishing our new apartment back home. There's a great modern bathroom and beautiful paintings as well. The location is absolutely amazing--it's in a beautiful area near some great cafes and restaurants (not to mention the shopping!) We loved walking to the market everyday to pick out food to make for dinner--such a great way to really experience Italian food.

The apartment we rented was small but comfortable and has everything we needed. A bonus was the public area where were a computer was made available for sharing. A negative was the heater system where 2 apartments shared one heater controller. There was a bit of a discussion between us and the neighbouring (as there are 4 "apartments" in the one large flat) renter about what the temperature should be. The location of the apartment was a huge plus. Convenient and safe.

The Michaela was just right for us and what we wanted to do in our trip to Florence. The location cannot be beat. Via della Spada is an amazing street full of upscale shops and beautiful old cobblestone streets. The place itself was small but great for two people not spending a lot of time in the room itself. The sofa bed is comfortable, not a bed, but still was ok. It is an amazing deal if you compare it to similar hotels and we were able to experience Florence more like locals rather than tourists.

We had a great time in the Michaela apartment for two weeks in April, 2010. The hosts, Miki and Franco, went out of their way to help us out. We did a lot of cooking in so they brought us extra pans,etc. If you do cook in a lot you can expect to have a utility bill when you leave. A reasonable bill, just expect it. Having an Internet connection on location was an extra plus. Great location, we walked everywhere. If you plan to visit a lot of museums look into the 'Friends of the Uffizi' card. It saves you standing in some long lines. Thank you for the nice feedback! Electricity and gas are charged separately for stays of more than a week as stated in the apartment information. The price for 7 nights or less includes a utility allowance to defray utility costs. These guests incurred modest utility charges for their 2 week stay. We apologize for any confusion over this. We found the accommodatons very nice and comfortable. The only drawback was the ice maker did not make ice very well and we Americans like our ice and it could not be purchased anywhere. [The freezer has an ice cube tray, no ice maker. - Lisa] We thought the lighting in the living room could have been better as we did a lot of reading for places to visit, etc. The bathroom was very up-to-speed. The location could not have been any better - it was close to absolutely everything and all within walking distance. The stops and restaurants were great and right at hand. Everyone was very friendly and greeter could not have been more helpful and gracious. It is hard to say what we enjoyed the most as there were so many things to enjoy, but we would have to say just the safety and location of the apartment made our trip absolutely wonderful. Thank you. The Michaela apartment was perfect for our needs. The compact kitchen is fully equipped and I enjoyed cooking many meals with the wonderful ingredients purchased at the Mercato Centrale...be sure to taste the abundant samples at Perini! The bathroom is spacious and immaculate, the bed is very comfortable. The computer room felt like an extension of the apartment, an added bonus. Most importantly Miki and Franco are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us warmly, took pride in giving us a tour, and showed us how things work. We loved the neighborhood and walked everywhere. I was only in Florence 4 days visiting friends but I found the overall experience at the Michaela very good. The hosts were excellent, very helpful and willing to do anything needed. I was very familiar with the area and highly recommend the coffee across the street at Cafe Giacosa - the best cappucino in the world I am sure! Being right in the centre of the best shopping area I thought the apartment would be noisy but it was not.The only problem I expereinced was the lack of screens on the window. It was October and I did not turn on the air-conditioning, didn't realize there were mosquitos - so I had lots of bites.Very safe even when I returned late at night.Highly recommend the place and the company.

I just returned from 11 wonderful nights in Firenze, Italy. I decided on this trip to rent an apartment due to the length of my stay and chose to rent the Michaela, a studio apartment from ItalyPerfect.com. Lisa was so very helpful and professional throughout the planning stages and answered all my questions which were so much appreciated. The apartment is perfectly located in the fashion shopping district (which for me was not a good thing, but I kept my promise not to splurge and I didn’t) close to Via Tornabuoni, is about a ten minute walk to and from the Santa Maria Novella (SMN) train station and it's on a bus route as well and you can walk to all the major sites that Firenze has to offer. The apartment itself suited my needs perfectly as I was traveling solo. The apartment is fairly quiet for it being in a very busy thoroughfare. The apartment is very attractive, had a lovely welcoming basket of wine, chocolate, etc., the room was a good-size, very comfortable and it had everything I wanted with a modern bathroom. And if you’re wondering, the apartment building has an elevator, so no need to struggle with your luggage up the stairs. You can keep in touch with family and friends or get caught up on the latest headline news with easy access to the internet with the computer work station just outside your door. As Firenze happens to be my favorite destination in Italy I’m already thinking and planning my next trip to Italy and will definitely book my stay with italyperfect.com for all my future accommodations throughout Europe and especially Firenze and will definitely recommend using them to one an all.

I've been meaning to write to you since my arrival in Florence to let you know how wonderful the Michaela apartment is. Miki, Franco and Marco have all been great---even when I locked myself out. I called Miki from a pay phone and explained in my combat Italian what I had done. Twenty minutes later Marco was there to rescue me! I wanted to write and thank you, and Miki and Franco, for my stay in Firenze. I had a glorious time. My daughter Caitlin and I wandered to the Italian Riviera and all around Tuscany, and had an absolutely memorable experience. It was so nice to return at the end of the day to "my" place on Via della Spada. The apartment was perfect for my needs and the location, well, perfect. I must tell you, during the end of my stay I was alone for the day as my daughter was attending class. I wandered to Fiesole and found myself having lunch at a wonderful restaurant recommended by Miki. An American couple sat down at the same restaurant a short time later and we began a conversation. It was revealed that we were both visiting our respective children and the conversation moved on to where we were staying. We both began to report on the wonderful apartments we had in a great location in Firenze and then ultimately realized we're staying a few doors apart [at the Prisco apartment] and we both booked through Italy Perfect. Maggie and her husband Bob were delightful people and we all laughed about how "small" the world has indeed become. Thanks again Lisa; this will be a memory that both my daughter and I will cherish.

We loved the apartment in Florence - Miki, Marco and Franco were wonderful hosts - nothing was too much for them - the apartment was spotless, cute cosy and comfy. Having the shared study [private computer workroom available to Prisco, Strozzi, Michaela guests] with internet and the use of Skype was an added bonus, as were the other interesting guests.

All three apartments in Florence (Prisco, Michaela and Strozzi) worked out great. We loved having everyone in the same building (and hallway). That was perfect. The units were exactly as advertised and they were in a GREAT location in Florence. We liked it a lot and would definitely stay there again if we came back to Florence in the future. Two of our favorite restaurants were a stone's throw away -- Il Latini and Osteria Bella Donne.

I felt very safe and comfortable in the apartments [Michaela and Prisco]. Miki and Franco went out of their way to help me with some things unrelated to the apartment, and I had everything I could possibly need. The neighborhood is great and I absolutely loved being right in the center of town, able to come and go easily and utilize the kitchen and the quiet for inbetween all of my sightseeing and Florence activities. It was so easy to communicate with Lisa- she always responds promptly and kindly to any inquiries. I highly recommend the apartments offered through Italy Perfect.

First, let me say that I enjoyed the studio tremendously. The place was extremely well renovated. There were all the little touches to make it as comfortable as possible, its small size notwithstanding. Add the perfect, central location to the mix and you really have a winner. I did not so much as visit Florence as actually lived there almost like the locals for a week.

We really enjoyed our time in Michaela. We were just so relieved and thankful to come to Michaela with the nice welcome from Franco and Miki, the wine, the water in the refrigerator, the kitchen so useful and efficient. Marco was also so helpful especially as he told us that we could go to the Academia for free on Tuesday nights. So we saw the David that night! We would so highly recommend the studio. If any one ever wants to email a person who stayed in Michaela, you can give them my email address as I would be glad to recommend the place. The extra touches like a hair dryer, some shampoo, soap, bathrobe, even the nice decorations made the place so homey. And since the place in Rome was not as nice, we felt so comfortable in Florence.

We had a wonderful time in Italy, Firenze in particular. The Michaela apartment worked wonderfully - small, but very efficient, comfortable and clean. And the location - wow! Miki and Franco were very pleasant hosts, as was their son Marco. I think we liked Firenze the best out of the cities we visited (Bologna, and Rome were the others), but found fascinating things in each city we saw. Thanks again for the great experience, we will definitely keep you in mind for future trips to Italy!

We had a wonderful time and the apartment was great. It is well-appointed and well-situated. Marco checked us in and out and was very amiable. He was very concerned that all our needs were met. The welcoming bottle of wine was a wonderful touch. I would recommend it to anyone going to Florence. I also really appreciated the info you sent before we arrived. I have traveled extensively and didn't need the travel tips but I liked having a heads-up about the near-by restaurants, markets, and shopping. I have suggested to a few people they visit your website if they are planning a trip to Italy. In my opinion, this beats a hotel any day! I was lucky to have discovered your site.
