Fall in love with Amore! Spectacular views from a wonderful penthouse apartment perched high above the rooftops — that’s Amore! Two blocks from the Ponte Vecchio, the Amore apartment boasts a gorgeous terrace with stunning Duomo views.

Location

The apartment is just one block from the Uffizi Gallery and Piazza Signoria. Two blocks to the Ponte Vecchio and less than a 10-minute walk to the Duomo, you can’t be more central than this!

The apartment building was built around a historic medieval tower, the Torre Lambertesca. The building’s elevator runs up the tower.

Exterior

The expansive terrace is the jewel in the crown of the Amore apartment. Lounge, read, do yoga, nap, dine or enjoy cocktails. Plenty of outdoor seating and dining space. Take in gorgeous views of Brunelleschi’s masterpiece, the dome, or Duomo, as it is known, of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, one of the wonders of the world. The views stretch out on two sides of the apartment. From the hills of Fiesole to the Forte di Belvedere. In the evenings, sit on the terrace and marvel at beautiful sunsets.

Interior

The living-dining room is filled with light and has French doors that open to the terrace.  Tasteful décor and comfortable seating make Amore your perfect home base while in Florence.

The kitchen, while small, has some of the most amazing views from the sink looking out towards Forte di Belvedere and the hills beyond. With the bounty of restaurants at your doorstep no need to cook.

Both bedrooms have views. From bedroom 1 you can lie in bed and gaze up at Arnolfo di Cambio’s bell tower in the Piazza Signora, just at the end of the block from the apartment. From the bedroom that faces the terrace you can take in views of medieval towers.

Please note: children must be supervised at all times on the terrace due to low balcony walls.

Would definitely recommend & stay again in Amore!

by Jamie G.

Everything about our time in Florence was magical, so happy we found Italy Perfect and booked the Amore apartment. We had our coffee on the terrace in the morning and loved coming back after dinner to sit out, yet again, and admire the skyline and the incredible views. Was up early one morning and say a hot air balloon passing over, beautiful. Location was incredible, apartment was excellent. Highly recommended.

Fantastic terrace

by Jeffrey H

This flat is located in a very lively, albeit a bit noisy in the evenings, location near many attractions and great dining. The 6th floor elevation gets you above the action for a sense of peace, especially while relaxing on the fantastic terrace. The host is an excellent contact for check-in and recommended favorites for dinners.

Can't Wait to Return!

by Suzanna

We have been to Florence over 10 times and this is by far the best apartment we've stayed in. What views, what a terrace! The location was great and the info from the Italy Perfect people was spot-on, especially their restaurant recommendations. Enjoyed dining at Mangiafuoco restaurant which is closeby. Also got good takeaway pizza at the little pizza place downstairs, just down the block.

Spotless and centrally located

by Rob E

The home was spotless and centrally located. The deck was great for listening to the music and horse drawn carriages while drinking wine, and we got to take a honeymoon bath with the full moon glowing out the window.

Excellent apartment and location

by Xander B

Excellent apartment and location for a stay in Florence. Really enjoyed our stay because of how nice the apartment was and how easy it was to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Really nice to have our own space with a patio. It really is minutes' walk from most attractions and a bunch of great restaurants/neighborhoods. Would absolutely stay here again. The host was very communicative and showed up on time to let us in. They were also very informative about the apartment and the area.

Terrace is to-die-for

by Kelsey

Our stay at the Amore apartment was everythign we hoped it would be to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Location is great, so easy to walk to all the sites. Loved the street for it's good restaurants. Little pizza place just down the block has delicious pizza. Enotoca further down the block has amazing wine selection and Tuscany specialities. We would stay at Amore again in a heartbeat!

by Connie

We've been staying with Italy Perfect, Paris Perfect and London Perfect for years. Delighted to be among the first to stay at their new addition, the Amore aparmtent. Unbelivable views from the terrace. I didn't want to leave! Saw an amazing Donatello exhibit at Palazzo Strozzi.

Local Sights

Ponte Vecchio (2 mins Walking)
Awesome ancient bridge over Florence's Arno river that has survived 800 years. Famous for the shops of goldsmiths along its length.
Uffizi Gallery (2 mins Walking)
One of the greatest museums in the world. The defining collection of Renaissance art. A tour is recommended.
Piazza della Signoria (3 mins Walking)
Center of power of Florence since ancient times with the David statue by the Palazzo Vecchio, the ancient seat of government, and the loggia of dramatic statues each of which has a story about politics and power. Imagine the Bonfires of the Vanities here and the triumphal return of the Medici.
Piazza della Repubblica (4 mins Walking)
A great piazza of Florence. The shape reflects its role as the forum in Roman times. Now it has fine palaces and a triumphal arch and colonnaded sidewalks. You will see street artists, impromptu musical performances and a colorful merry-go-round. Glitterati in the fancy cafes.
Duomo (9 mins Walking)
Florence's famous and glorious cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore, beautiful to gaze at since the 1300s. Don't miss and, if you can, read about -- then visit the amazing dome by Brunelleschi erected without scaffolding!
Medici Chapels (8 mins Walking)
Part of the San Lorenzo church, the monumental chapel and tombs of the Medici family with statues by Michelangelo some considered to be among his finest work.
Piazza San Lorenzo (9 mins Walking)
Important central piazza with one of the largest churches in Florence with art and architecture by many celebrated artists. Location of the Medici Chapel and tombs. Also the center of a large outdoor street market great for souvenir shopping.
Piazza Santa Croce (9 mins Walking)
Grand piazza of Florence, largest in the center. Fine historic palaces and reigned over by the brooding statue of Dante Alighieri.
