Mediterranean villa with expansive sea views, pool and lush grounds filled with palm trees, bougainvillea, olive groves. Refined decor and manicured lawns create a thoroughly relaxing environment for enjoying the Amalfi Coast.


Marvelously positioned overlooking the timeless sea, Vista Serena is a classically elegant villa in a world-class location carved from local volcanic stone.


Ideal location for day trips but your favorite moments might just be time spent at Vista Serena, enjoying the 'dolce far ninete', the 'sweetness of doing nothing'.


A cottage 65 yards from the main house has a living room and bedroom with bathroom, sleeping 3 that can be rented with the villa.


For larger groups Vista Serena can be rented together with Vista Galli and Vista Flora about 150 yards away and accessed through a separate gate off the road.  For such a plan, all 3 villas would be rented together.


Location

Located in Piano di Sorrento, it is about a 15 minute drive to Sorrento. A gorgeous 30 minute drive will find you in Positano or Nerano where you can shop, eat. Positano has a sandy beach, a vibrant town with shops and restaurants. Nerano is small, intimate and beautiful with great restaurants.


There are hikes to enjoy down to the sea or up on the trails of Monte Amato that connects with the "Path of the Gods" that takes you along the dramatic and historic coastline.. 


Just a 2 block walk to an excellent trattoria and a mini-mart/cafe.


Exterior

Multiple seating areas to enjoy, whether overlooking the sparkling waters of Tyrrhenian sea to gaze out at I Galli, the trio of small islands below, or lounging on the shady patio. 


Interior

Furnished in fresh colors of the sea and sun the ground floor has a large double living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom.


Off the living room is a large shaded patio with seating. The living room has two seating areas, one casual and the other more formal. The eat-in kitchen is fully furnished. French doors off the kitchen open to the dining loggia where two round dining tables can accommodate 8 people per table.


Large terraces off the bedrooms on 2nd and 3rd floors offer beautiful sea views.

Vista Serena and Italy Perfect a great combo

We were very pleased with our 60th birthday get away at Vista Serena. The Italy Perfect folks were very helpful and once we made it to Vista Serena all the team there were fantastic. We were greeted by our hosts who was just delightful and help in any way she could to make our stay wonderful. The first night she recommended a wonderful family-owned restaurant up the street for dinner. We visited it a number of times. The local market within walking distance was very helpful to keep us stocked of food for our family of 8 as well as stopping into the clothing linen shop that has been there for over 80 years was also a win! We did have to utilize the ride service quite a bit we all agreed that was better than trying to drive the curves of the Amalfi, not to mentioned it made it so everyone could enjoy Limoncello. Since we had 8 family members we would have needed a very large van and none of us would have wanted to drive that on the Amalfi. So highly recommend Private Day Tours by Gianluca! He was very accommodating and willing to try to get us a car when we needed it spur of the moment. I will say taking the local taxis from Sorrento was easy to get back to the Villa and a bit more cost effective as long as you knew exactly how to tell them to get to the villa, the castle on the hill finally did the trick as a landmark for most. We would love to come back and enjoy the beautiful Villa and wonderful linen sheets as well as see our host.

"Over the moon" with our villa!!!

This review is for the neighboring apartment with the same management: We were absolutely "over the moon" with our gorgeous villa, the beautiful grounds and gardens, and the amazing staff! And, well, then there are the incredible Galli Islands right in front of you... The villa is impeccably maintained by the attentive, friendly staff, and they worked hard to be sure all our requests were met. The location of the villa is ideal - walking distance to a few local restaurants and a delightful cooking school (Antico Casale), a short drive to Sorrento, and also close to Positano. There is a terrific car service/tour service (PrivateDayTours.com) which we used extensively. The service is actually located in Piano di Sorrento. Our 4 weeks at Vista Galli flew by - it was a perfect vacation in every way.

Vista Serena Review

From start to finish, our experience with Italy Perfect was perfect. Our stay was a family reunion of 11 people, including a 4.5 year old. There was plenty of room for our group. The grounds are absolutely impeccable - i am involved with golf course management and i have never seen such perfect grass and landscaping. The support staff that came every day did a very good job keeping our place neat. We had asked for snacks and breakfast materials to be there upon our arrival and all was there in great shape. One evening we used a local cook that our greeter arranged and that meal was the best i had in all of Italy. We loved having the pool to cool off after our excursions and it was great having a washing machine there, especially since we had already been travelling for a week. Our greeter was of immense help, particularly as she arranged transportation from the Naples airport at midnight for one of our group. She answered many of our questions over the week and was of immense help. The location was a bit of a challenge for those not used to driving in italy, but once we got the hang of it, it was fine. It fact there was a religious festival (St. Andrew)going on down the street for a few days while we were there, which added to our fun. The views from the decks and the main lawn are absolutely to die for and many evenings were spent overlooking the islands. The dining areas were perfect and the plates/cutlery and glasses were fabulous.Some of the details in the room were so thoughtful - there were wash clothes provided for us Americans, who are used to them, and fresh bars of Dove soap when we arrived. There is good hiking up the hill behind the place and the view from the very top is worth the effort.There are a few restaurants nearby but we weren't exactly clear on where they were - perhaps a little more clarity on that - and some info on when the nearby mini market is open/closed.I absolutely would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. And, i would recommend Italy Perfect for their service; hope to try to use them again in another place.

Vista Serena Review

It took some convincing by my bro in law that November would be great. Better than great. Grand. Weather was warm, restaurants available, lovely grounds were still green. They were harvesting the olives by hand on the property. We used the recommended driver for outings around the peninsula and were glad for him. Enjoyed little walks around the area and hanging out in Sorrento a bit, too. This was a vacation, so we also slept in, read books and gazed at the sea and cliffs above while the clouds made art in the sky. Go in November.

Piano di Sorrento (7 min drive)
A pleasant town with shops and restaurants
Sorrento (15 min drive)
Gorgeous views of Capri, Naples and Vesuvius from a fine town with all the amenities, shops and restaurants. Take the hydrofoil to Capri with its famous Piazzetta and Blue Grotto.
Positano (30 min drive)
Romantic beach town on the Amalfi coast with pastel house tumbling down to the sea. Good restaurants and the must sip local beverage Limoncello.
Pompeii (35 min drive)
Roman city buried after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD. Discover the streets, shops and homes of the ancient city.
Herculaneum (46 min drive)
Fine alternative or in addition to a visto to Pompeii. Herculaneum is better preserved and more complete than Pompeii because it was buried in a different way. It was also a wealthier town resulting and a delightful visit.
Naples (50 min drive)
Naples embraces its bay with lovely views, ancient sights, the best museums in Italy, great shopping. Enjoy a seafood meal in the waterside restaurant. Good shopping for interesting regional specialties.
Amalfi (57 min drive)
Iconic town along the Amalfi Coast south of Naples with its breath-taking views from the vertical terrain. And of course homes of the rich and famous since Roman times.
