Enjoy a very handy location, with excellent access to the best Rome has to offer along with daily maid and concierge service. Exhuberant décor delights.

Location

Right in the heart of the Spanish Steps neighborhood, a 3 minute walk to the famous Piazza di Spagna, 6 minutes to the Trevi fountain, easy walking all over the city. The street has shops to enjoy and several restaurants. Also, being in the area at the bottom of the Spanish Steps, no hills all the way to the Tiber river. This area is one of the most requested locations by visitors to Rome. You`ll enjoy the many pleasures the city has to offer: wonderful sightseeing, excellent restaurants, and a nice apartment in a wonderful location.

There are many interesting sights in this immediate area that are easy to visit, great for curiosity lovers. For larger groups the Princess Paolina apartment can be rented in conjunction with the Ginevra apartment which is on the same block, just a 1-minute walk.

Exterior

Located in a fine historic building characteristic of this area, it is on a very elegant street in the Spanish Steps area.

Interior

The Princess Paolina apartment is tastefully decorated with clean lines, vibrant color and elegant furnishings. The apartment is on the quiet back side of the building, always a plus in the bustling center of Rome where street noise can be an issue in such a central location. Because the windows face the back of the building, it does not get direct sunlight.

The living room has a Gervasoni designed sofa which can convert to sleep 2. The dining table easily seats 4 and there is a large window that faces the inner courtyard, no views except for the backs of neighboring buildings. There are handsome wood floors and an attractive marble-topped bureau with interesting artwork, such as the Papua New Guinea collar made from shells shown in photos.

Tucked under the stairs is a custom desk with a laptop computer & printer for your use......this clever use of space is beautifully finished with Hermes wall paper. A wall-mounted 40" LCD flat screen TV with Sky Sports and movie channels is provided for your entertainment. We found the apartment filled with delightful pieces of art.

The sleek kitchen has refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, oven, electric kettle, Nespresso machine with coffee capsules, pots, pans, dishes. The refrigerator comes stocked with beverages, including soda, bottled water, beer, milk, juice and is restocked daily to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Just wanted to follow up and tell you how very much I appreciated your advice. The Princess Paolina apartment was just great for our first few days in Rome. Great location, very clean & well stocked with refreshments. Francesco met us & was very helpful. Gave us maps, familiarized us with apt, made us dinner reservations. Perfetto! I’m so glad we listened to friends and called Italy Perfect. Millie grazie!

My husband and I ended our two week trip to Italy with three days in Rome. Big cities are loud at all times of the day and night, but walking into the Princess Paolina was like taking in a deep breath, so quiet and relaxing. This apartment is modern and updated, with attention to details to make your stay pleasant. From the electric black out shades in the bedroom, to the stocked beverages in the refrigerator, we could not have been more pleased. Our greeter, Franscesco, was great!! He provided a map for us and marked his favorite places to eat! He was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were very pleased with the location of the apartment. Easy to get to, with nearby restaurants, and tons of shopping!! Italy Perfect was a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend them!! We would also highly recommend the Princess Paolina!! [Thank you Susan. we are glad that you could finish your trip happy and satisfied with our service! The Italy Perfect Team]

Thank you so much for welcoming us to the Paolina apartment. The apartment is charming, warm and cosy. It helped make our first (and hopefully not our last) vacation in Rome and exceptional experience. It gave us a good feeling every time we returned to the apartment. It felt like home.

We had a great trip in Rome. My husband and I stayed in the Paolina apartment for 5 nights and we found it to be a very convenient location, just a few steps from the metro. The kitchen is great for a quick breakfast, but not suited to doing more than heating food. Much better to get your espresso at the cafe on the corner! The apartment was clean and aside from typical city noises, it was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay!

We thought we would never find an affordable apartment for six week stay in Rome but finally we found Paolina! It was quite inexpensive for such a good area and so convenient to shops, metro, restaurants. It was well maintained. It is quite small but we were very happy with it for our Rome experience. Thank you Italy Perfect for your courteous service. Antoine & Noelle

The Paolina apartment is small, but the owner has made great use of the space. The apartment had everything our family needed. It was well located next to public transportation and a market where we could buy food. We enjoyed the pizza place next door. We highly recommend this apartment.

by Family with 2 boys
We spent a week at Paolina as a family of four with two boys (ages 10 and 12). Overall, we had a lovely stay. The apartment was centrally located. We walked about 5-7 miles each day around the city. If we were tired, we took the metro back to the apartment which stopped a few steps from the apartment. The apartment is not meant for four people (it is tiny/cozy), but it was a good value and fit our budget. We just slept there. We did not use the kitchen. The sheets were clean and of good quality. We recommend the restaurant next door for a glass of wine while sitting outdoors in the early evening. Great place to read a book or people watch. The pizza or pasta with vodka sauce was good. The prices were typically half of other places in the city and the waitress was lovely (not pushy like many of the waiters we encountered at other places). Pat and the rest of the staff were first rate.

We had a wonderful time in Rome. The Paolina is small, but very cute. It has everything we needed for our little family. The location is so near the metro that it is easy to get to the center of this great city. We loved the regional market just down the street that provided us with wonderful fresh fruit. We also enjoyed the pizza from the pizzeria a few doors down the street. It has been a very hot week, but the Paolina apartment has been a wonderful cool retreat from the heat. We came from an Italy Perfect apartment in Florence, and they had a little book for comments, so you could read recommendations from previous guests. They also had a cold bottle of water in the fridge. These were nice little touches that you might think about including for the Paolina. Thank you for providing such a wonderful little apartment for our visit to Rome. We hope to return soon.

This is a great location! We walked everywhere and especially loved walking down the Via Bambuino to the Spanish Steps. Many great restaurants on this street! We also used the metro just outside our door, often. It was easy and convenient and with a Roma Pass did not even have to bother with metro tickets. We used Stefano to pick us up and return us to the airport. Thank you for the recommendation. The apartment was very small and we missed having windows for light during the day but it was a small price to pay for the location. And be prepared to use the living room for a closet! Our only complication was trying to find a supermarket for paper towels and toilet paper! Could not find the ones you recommended. Our greeter met us on arrival and was very helpful. We didn't need to call her for any help after that. Italy Perfect provided us with lots of useful information and we would definitely use your service again for any of the other cities where you have properties. Thank you!

A perfect way to enjoy Rome is to rent an apartment. A hotel is a hotel but an apartment conjures home. We wanted to be travelers, not tourists, we got that from Paolina. A clean, well appointed place to rest our head. From now on, we will do this when we travel. Thank you Italy Perfect & Carlo for making this a very memorable stay.

Paolina was a great location but would never stay there for more than a few days because we missed the light and having no real windows. The smallness was a bit confining and having only one side of the bed to exit from was an inconvenience. [We were so glad to get this great location for you at the last minute when the weather caused you to get to Rome early. At least the budget price was right! Cheers, Italy Perfect]

Excellent service from our greeter; we called him for help on locating a venue. The apartment is compact but has everything you need. It's all about location, location, location! Steps from the Metro make getting to all point in Rome very easy. Do check out the market several doors down for snacks, coffee. We also found another market 2-3 blocks over and down for meat, cheese, produce...fun to have all your snacks at home.

We enjoyed your tiny but charming apartment. It had everything we needed - thank you. Your recommended driver, Stefano, was prompt and very helpful in getting us from the airport to the apartment. We were endeared to Carlo your greeter for his efficiency in explaining everything and for answering our phone calls (2) per a location we could not fine. Thanks to Carlo we saw Rome Volley versus Sisley Volley Belluno, a sport we love and saw our friend from Sisley Belluno's team play. 🙂 We loved the location near the metro - we did not realize how valuable this location would be. We used the metro each day we were there. Thank you for opening your sweet apartment to us.

After a busy week of at-home catch-up and the challenges of returning to work, this is a belated thank you for our stay in your delightful and very conveniently located apartment in Rome. We were especially grateful to Carlo for his courtesies and flexibility, including offering to pick us up at Roma Termini to take us to the apartment. He is a an excellent ambassador for his country and a thoroughly charming young man to have as your greeter.

We were lucky enough to be the first guests at the Paolina. The apartment is small, exactly as described, but very well appointed: the interior architect has worked very well with the available space to make a comfortable and enjoyable interior - we had no disappointments with our stay. I am 6'1" and didn't bump my head once on either the front door or the kitchen beam!Although many guidebooks suggest that tourists don't need to use the metro, anyone who spends more than a long weekend in Rome will be delighted to know that the Flaminia station really is just yards from the front door, for when the feet get tired (as they inevitably will do at some stage!) But most of central Rome is within comfortable walking distance. We thoroughly recommend the -second- small pizza shop as you come out the front door on the right: although it opens a little late, the pizzas are truly delicious. And for a less 'touristy' evening, Tree Bar is a friendly and popular local (no English menus here!) place about 1km down Via Flaminia. The cost of a taxi back from Trastevere (if nothing else, you must eat once at Dar Poeta!) is about 14 euros. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, and have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Paolina. Buone vacanze!

We were very pleased to be among of the first guests to stay at the Paolina apartment. We were on a tight budget but really wanted something fairly close to the Spanish Steps area. The Paolina apartment certainly fit the bill! Cute and nicely furnished, we really enjoyed the convenient location and would have had to spend considerably more for a hotel room in the same area without benefit of a kitchenette and our own living room area to lounge in. The greeter Carlo spoke good English and was very friendly which made the arrival process go smoothly. The restaurant just out the front door and immediately to the left was good! Ate there several times. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Italy Perfect for all your help and useful tips.
