Sunny mornings and afternoons in the high and bright Ginevra apartment in the heart of the desirable Spanish Steps neighborhood. Three balconies across the front of this apartment welcome you to enjoy the sun, the stars and the delightful neighborhood.

Location

Right in the heart of the Spanish Steps neighborhood, a 3 minute walk to the famous Piazza di Spagna, 6 minutes to the Trevi fountain, easy walking all over the city. The street has shops to enjoy and several restaurants. You`ll enjoy the many pleasures the city has to offer: wonderful sightseeing, excellent restaurants, and a nice apartment in a wonderful location.

Exterior

Handsome building from the 1700's. The apartment is located on the 5th of 7 floors, high above the street. There are 13 steps from the street level to the elevator.

Interior

Sunlight in the mornings and evenings fill the apartment. A bistro table and chairs on the balcony invite you to enjoy coffee or cocktails in this very Roman of locations.

The living and dining room area has a special style with a three cushion sofa, an arm chair and unique, original lamps by an Italian artist with a whimsical flair we so appreciate.

Passing through the entry area you find a antique credenza and mirror, underneath two original Roman amphorae found in the Mediterranean.

The pleasant, small kitchen is filled with light from large windows that look across the courtyard and roofs. It has some nice touches with a washing machine, dishwasher, under counter refrigerator and microwave. There is a pantry behind the kitchen in the little hall that leads to the full bathroom.

Wonderful Light!

by Melanie

This apartment had wonderful light, was fully equipped, and was in a wonderful location. We enjoyed coffee on the little balcony and having two baths was a plus. Everything you would need is nearby: pharmacy, money exchange, markets, restaurants and bars. The only down side was that the shower did not work properly or else we were not able to get it to work properly. We did get an excellent orientation from Daniela. Italy Perfect was easy and helpful to deal with. I would  rent this apartment again. [Thank you very much for your review and for enjoying the apartment and that great neighborhood. We’ll check the shower, for sure. The Italy Perfect Team]

Close to Spanish Steps

by Jackie Stout

This is the second time I have stayed in this apartment - the Ginevra. It is close to the Spanish Steps, the taxis stop, great shopping and restaurants.  The apartment itself is great with two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms.  Plus the kitchen and wash machine.  I love it and the amenities.  There is also a third room with a sofa that could be used as a third bedroom for a child.  Anyway close to everything I wanted and an elevator what more could you want!!!

The apartment was beautiful. The location was perfect. The greeter, was super sweet and helpful. I will book the same apartment for my next trip to Rome just because of her. I would highly recommend Italy Perfect.

Home away from Home

by Ed

Great location....don’t plan to use the kitchen for much cooking and the washing machine is tiny. It is a very comfortable apartment. Location was fabulous as you could walk anywhere you wanted to in a very short time......love, love Rome. Some drawbacks are the hand held only shower in the master and one of the bedrooms is on the street so can be a bit noisy. The other thing to note is no closets in the back bedroom and no door on the front bedroom for which we were prepared. Italy Perfect gives you all of this information and will find the perfect place for you and your guests. Pat knows Rome and is a great resource!

Perfect location, great apartment

by Arabella

The location is amazing! Close to everything and yet amazingly quiet at night. It is a lovely bright and airy apartment. Daniella was wonderful, helpful and efficient. The only negative was the shower which would be easier to use if you could hang the shower arm/head from something! We had a great tour of the Vatican and St. Peters with our guide Cristina (recommended by Italy Perfect) who was incredibly knowledgeable and able to keep us all engaged for several hours and avoided many long queues.

Wonderful Location by the Spanish Steps

by Beth

We had a wonderful stay at the Ginevra apartment which was situated very close to the Spanish Steps. Key attributes: nice sized apartment, washer which helps with hot days in Italy, air conditioning for peaceful nights, low noise level. Used Viator for private / small group tours which were well worth the money. And had an amazing day of Italian Cooking through Fabiolous Cooking Day. https://www.facebook.com/fabiolouscookingday/ Daniela is extremely helpful. Thank you for making our stay in Italy so enjoyable.

Nice beautiful apartment to stay in Rome

by Lana Z

We (family of 4 adults) stayed in Rome for Christmas and chose this apartment as our base. It was a first time in Italy and the first time we used vacation rental, so we were a little nervous how it was going to work out. We made a right choice! Apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious. It has 2 bedrooms with queens size beds, a guest room/study with sofa-queen bed (my son used this room because it has a separate TV set), 1 1/2 bathroom and a small kitchen that had everything you need. A living room has two sofas, a big dining table, TV set and nicely decorated. 3 small balconies are cute with outdoor seatings. TV set has a lot of programs including English and even several Russian channels for my mom. Wi-fi is pretty fast. Location is fantastic: Spanish steps right around a corner, many restaurants and supermarket within a block, a shopping area nearby. A subway is a short walk. Our hostess Daniela was super nice, she showed us all apartment amenities and features, walked us to the supermarket to buy groceries and was very helpful answering all our questions. The only tiny issue was low pressure in a shower, but not a big deal. Highly recommend to choose this place!

Spanish Steps Apartment

by Susan

Daniela was a wonderful greeter, even though our flights were late and so were we! This apartment was super clean and pretty spacious. Loved the tiny balcony for coffee or wine and contemplation. We cooked dinner a few times in the small kitchen. Living room/dining room is very spacious. The surrounding area is unbeatable. Beautiful streets off the Spanish Steps, with tons of restaurants, several small convenience groceries and close to many, many of Rome's best sightseeing. The amazing thing was it did not seem a crowded area as it was just a few blocks from the historic steps. Do not rent this apartment if you want a shower-- and Italy Perfect makes this clear in the description. The second half-bath is tiny but convenient if there is more than one couple or family renting. Italy Perfect is extremely trustworthy with explanations of the apartment amenities with American tastes and expectations in mind.

The property was clean and spacious.

by Jackie S.

Once again I had a wonderful stay at the above property. It was perfect for two females travelling together. Our greater was Daniela who was there when we arrived and showed us the apartment. There was a problem with the TV in the living room, she called the owner and they came right away and the problem was fixed. The property was clean and spacious. There was a coffee shop on the corner where we had pastry and coffee every morning. By the end of the week they were like family. The restaurant across the street from the apartment was wonderful. It rained several days and we ran over to have lunch one day and dinner one day. The name is Osteria della Vite...great food, great wine and GREAT service. We enjoyed the apartment (as I said it was perfect) the area (it was one block from the Spanish Steps) and the whole experience.

A Special Place

by GgFord

This was the first apartment my family had ever rented and it did not disappoint! Not only was it situated in the very best location for touring the city, the space with clean, inviting and perfectly suited for our stay. The greeter met us right when we got there and was friendly and knowledgable. After explaining the apartment he sat down and offered some local knowledge to make our stay even better! I would stay in this apartment again in a heartbeat! As well as use Italy Perfect on other stays!

Apartment even better than at the pictures, light, roomy, clean. You can find everything you need in the kitchen. Towels and hairdryer are available in bathroom. Apartment perfect for 4-5 people. Location is great in short distance from main sights. Many thanks for our host Daniela! She was very kind to let us stay in apartment after check-out time! Highly recommended

Lovely location only three blocks from Spanish Steps

by Julie

We had a great vacation in Rome! We traveled with our three sons ages 12, 15 and 18 and had plenty of room. The main living area is very roomy and has a big dining table. The kitchen was tiny and there was no oven but we were able to make breakfast every day and a few simple dinners. There were many restaurants in the area and a grocery store only a few blocks away. Remember that you are right in the thick of the action so it was a little bit noisy at night so maybe bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Our greeter was fabulous and answered all of our questions and even gave us her cell phone for if we had more. We really had no complaints though note that the bathroom (the main one) only has a hand held shower in a tub which took some getting used to. Water pressure was great. The bathroom with a toilet and a sink is so tiny you can barely turn around but it so nice to have two toilets and two sinks. Thanks for a great stay.

Glorious sun

by S & K

Rome is so beautiful and we found the sun in this apartment glorious where we could appreciate it everywhere. We booked late and didn't really want to be so close to the Spanish Steps that can be so thronged, but found this street delightful and quiet. The problem with the air conditioner (who thought we would need it so late in the year) was fixed promptly. The apartment layout was perfect for the two of us who both needed spaces to work.

Thank you for making our vacation so memorable.

by Wendy & Stan

To begin with Danielle was a wonderful greeter.  She went above & beyond to assist us with little things that needed attention.  She is an asset to your business. The apartment location is perfect.  It is right in the middle of everything.  I loved the supermarket two blocks away. The apartment could use some tender loving care.  For the rental fee paid, the owner should invest some money in having the wood floors re-done.  They need to be sanded, stained and polished.  They are very worn.  [It has been done!] The linens and bedding are fine, however new towels and blankets would be nice.  The lighting could be improved.  The pole lamps are chintzy for such a beautiful apartment.  I managed to cook a few wonderful meals on the 2 burner stove.  A challenge, but lots of fun.  I would definitely recommend you to friends and would call you again the next time we have an adventure in Italy. Once again, thank you for making our vacation so memorable.

We had a wonderful time staying at this Roman apartment.

by Sarah

We had a wonderful time staying at this Roman apartment. The location is within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Our family likes to walk a lot. We did take a train to the Vatican, but walked back. Other than that – we only took a car to the airport. Our host was awesome and recommended some great local places for us to go. The restaurant just down the street, “Life,” was really good. There is a Gelato place that wasn’t too far called Giolitti – we decided this was the best in Rome and went there everyday. There was a grocery store not far, we picked up our breakfast foods there and just made that in the apartment. The kitchen was pretty small so we had lunches and dinners out. This was towards the end of our trip so we were starting to cut cost back a little bit. There are a few sandwich places nearby that were really good and pretty inexpensive (we are a family of 5). Loved this area and would definitely stay here again!

Ginevra Apartment

by P.Bygrave

We stayed in this amazing apartment for 4 nights in December 2013 and the location was fantastic, about a 5 minute leisurely walk from the Spanish steps. Our greeter couldn't have been more helpful, and even arranged a driver to get us to the airport when we departed. The apartment is within a 20min walking distance to most locations and only 5 minutes from the Metro, which is very easy to use. (If you want to get to the Colosseum, Vatican City, etc) There are also many restaurants to choose from nearby. The greeter gave us many choices, but we also stumbled upon an fantastic restaurant in our street called, 'Life'. (It was so good we even dinned there two nights in a row) The apartment was spacious (we slept 5 adults in there very comfortably) and the amenities were great. Only one let down was the lack of constant hot water when having a shower. (Think this is a norm in Italy though) Would definitely recommend this to travellers as it is great value for money and gives you a true Italian experience.

Ginevra Review

by Sonia and Michael

Our family of six (2 adults, 3 teenagers, 1child) stayed at the Ginevra apartment in December 2013. It was beautifully furnished, clean and bright. Three small balconies overlook the street and roof tops. The beds were comfortable, linen excellent and abundant towels provided. A welcome pack of coffee, tea, jam and Christmas chocolates was provided. Daniella the apartment manager met us on our arrival and kindly provided an Italian cell phone with credit to use if needed during our stay. She was also able to arrange a later checkout which was really appreciated. The location was perfect - Spanish Steps less than 5 minutes walk, Trevi fountain less than 10. At the furtherest end of the street is the Via del Corso, one of Rome's main shopping strips. There are abundant restaurants close by, a wonderful Gelateria, and the supermarket is only a 5 minute walk. Despite this the apartment is very quiet, especially at night . We would highly recommend this apartment to families or couples sharing. The sofa bed in the den is best for one, but comfortable enough for two children. There is a short flight of stairs to get to the elevator, not a problem at all for able bodied people. Italy Perfect has been a fantastic Rental Agency, providing us with abundant and clear information on all aspects of staying in Italy, to either download or print. Any question was always responded to, and it gave us complete peace of mind booking with a well established company. Thank you Lisa!

Spanish Steps Apartment

by Christine

What a wonderful apartment, very spacious and bright. The location could not of been better! Walking distance to the Spanish Steps,Trevi Fountain, Pantheon.,Etc. My husband and I ate at local restaurants within a block from the apartment and they were all wonderful. Shopping was also right out side the door!! Daniela our greeter was fantastic. She was there upon arrival and even came over one night when we had trouble with the cable TV (we pushed the wrong button). The only negative was the apartment was hooked up to wifi but we would have to pay a small fee and mess around with other cables, usb, etc. I thought it was included in the rent and feel it should of been for the amount that we paid. We never used the internet. All in all we had a great week and we would stay here again if the internet issues were resolved!

Apartment was clean, sunny and comfortable. Location was even better than we had hoped for, nice street, lots of things to do and see in the area and such a good selection of restaurants. Ginevra Review

by Kamarei

The apartment has good and bad points. Water heater was too small or didn't work well. One person couldn't shower, let alone 4 people. My wife and I have traveled a fair amount in europe and africa so our comments about the shower aren't from ignorance or from comparing to US standards. The free WiFi has a daily limit in terms of data which is not enough for todays applications ( facetime, etc) The apartment location is great. Very close to shops and the Spanish steps. The bedrooms and beds were good and comfortable. The apartment was very comfortable and cute. Lots of natural light. Kitchen was small.

Our stay at the Ginevra apartment was so nice and we were so lucky to have such mild November weather. The greeter was kind and helpful, the booking process with Italy Perfect went smoothly. Really enjoyed our stay. Be sure to have a coffee at Cafe Greco which is a short walk, really a special atmosphere! Â The driver you recommeded was good too. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Rome in May

We stayed in the Ginerva apartment, it was perfect in every way.  Stylish and spacious. The location was great for seeing all the major sights within walking distance.  There were four of us and we catered some meals and found that it was like a home from home.  High quality bed linen also appreciated!

Things to See & Do

Spanish Steps (2 mins Walking)
One of the most famous piazzas in the world with the beautiful steps rising from the Barcaccia ("bad boat") fountain to the Trinita dei Monti church. Neighborhood for designer shopping and people-watching.
Trevi Fountain (6 mins Walking)
Beautiful Baroque fountain, the largest in Rome, a city of fountains. Here is where you throw 3 coins over your shoulder to ensure you will return to Rome.
Pantheon (15 mins Walking)
Must-visit. This temple to all the gods (pan-theon in Greek) breathes history starting with its architecture from 2000 years ago. It is the only complete monument from Roman times. Built of concrete, the hemispherical roof is of one piece with its hole in the center.
Piazza Navona (15 mins Walking)
Iconic piazza of Rome where Romans once raced their chariots. Three beautiful fountains the chief being the Fountain of the Four rivers. Enjoy street musicians and small vendors. Great place to hang out, dine and have a gelato.
Campo de' Fiori (20 mins Walking)
Large, central piazza with famous and picturesque daily open-air farmer's market, surrounded by restaurants. Famous statue of philosopher Giordano Bruno burned here for heresy. Young folks gather here in the evenings. Thick with history and in the heart of the city.
