Wake up each morning with awe inspiring panoramic views of Florence and the Arno, all from your bed! With the added bonus of a large terrace, you might not want to leave this romantic nest!
This amazingly sun filled apartment is at the top of a Renaissance palazzo that faces the gallery of the Uffizi gallery across the Arno river.
The building blends with its Renaissance-age neighbors with grey stone, pietra serena, accenting its classical proportions. The building is locked and has a doorman during weekday business hours.
There is a flight of steps up to the main level and another flight to the wonderful bedroom. The staircase, 18 steps, is beautifully painted and leads past a coat closet to the main level of the apartment.
The expansive, private terrace is the highlight of the main level. It faces uphill and from there you can see across the river to Santa Croce, Ponte alle Grazie, San Miniate and Piazzale Michelangelo with its beautiful views. A garden in the summer, the terrace has a table and chairs for dining and enjoying the sun and views.
From the terrace, step into a charming room that has a full height window and door on its terrace side. There is a glass-topped table with two chairs, a bench and shelf unit in this room. A pass-through window opens onto the kitchen.
Three steps from this dining room leads into the living room with comfortable sofa, chair, credenza with television. The credenza contains the dishes and microwave. Alongside the credenza is the refrigerator-freezer. Kitchen is small but has everything for preparing meals.
If the terrace weren`t enough for views and light, the bedroom may even be more wonderful. A room built on top of the building, the bedroom with queen size bed has an arched window in each wall with a memorable view from each. Black out drapes on the windows. With the help of jet lag, we found ourselves looking out the windows at all hours to see the monuments in all lights and atmospheres.
The bedroom is accessed up a narrow staircase that rises from the living room. There are 18 steps that aren`t wide. Under the steps is the clothes closet and a small closet that holds the vacuum.

This apartment was charming. It has a lovely patio that had great views. The bedroom also had some amazing views. Our greeter was very accommodating and showed us how to operate everything. It was in a great location close to the bridges. It is on the south side of the river which was more quiet but still close to shopping and many restaurants. Would recommend this apartment.

We (2 of us) absolutely enjoyed our week in Florence in the Torella Apartment. Torella was perfectly comfortable, with a large terrace and an amazing rooftop bedroom (with 180 degree views). After a day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to pick up a bottle of wine from one of the nearby shops and sit outside watching the light change from day to night (partial view of the Arno). The apartment was comfortable and sufficiently equipped. The kitchen is small, but we weren't cooking, so it was fine for basics. There are a lot of stairs within the apartment, but we knew that in advance. The stairs simply justified all the gelato we ate that week. The building is in a fantastic location, directly across the Arno from the Uffizi, and is well-maintained. We had excellent communication in advance of our trip. The greeter and the building's doorman were friendly and helpful, the list of recommended restaurants and other services was excellent. A gourmet grocery two blocks away provided just about everything we needed. Wi-fi worked well. We highly recommend Italy Perfect (and Paris Perfect, with whom we booked in 2018).[We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay! Looking forward to welcoming you back. The Italy Perfect Team]

Apartment was as pictured, clean and well equipped. The greeter was there when we arrived so that was seamless. The terrace was wonderful. The location was excellent and within walking distance to everything. After a day out in the city it was very nice to come home to a quiet, well equipped place to relax. I'd highly recommend it.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days. It made our Florence trip fantastic. The place was clean and we had a wonderful dinner on the patio overlooking the river. The bedroom had spectacular views out of all windows. It was in the perfect location and center for all museums, restaurants and entertainment. We would highly recommend this place. We especially want to thank Cristiana for her hospitality.

We had a great stay. The apartment was exactly as advertised and was perfect for two. We often spent the cocktail hour on the patio listening to the bells and watching the changing facades of San Miniato and Santa Croce. Everyone associated with the building was professional and competent, and also offered practically useful advice about cabs, shops, restaurants, etc. We walked everywhere but the airport which shows how central the apartment is. If you plan to visit the Uffizi more than once go to door 2 and tell them you want to become a friend of the museum. 100 euro gets unlimited skip the line admissions for a family for a year. We loved our stay, this place is in the heart of Florence a short walk to Pointe Vecchio. But what makes it great is the mesmerizing views. You are literally on top of Florence. We sat up each morning to beautiful sun rises over the city. Absolutely breathtaking. Check in was easy and our greeter Christiani was great. I would definitely recommend this apartment...

The apartment was fabulous! The terrace overlooking the Oltrano neighborhoods, mountains and Arno river was a perfect spot for coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. The bedroom with the vaulted ceiling offered 360 degree views of Florence, the view of the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio were spectacular. Overall it is the perfect getaway for 2 people.

Greeter and info provided - 1st class service - strongly recommend Property - Torella - excellent. Spacious, cool, very clean, lovely large veranda. All amenities provided. Only downside (which is mentioned on website) is that the property is not suitable for older clients/disabled clients due to two narrow sets of stairs [Thank you Andrew! The Italy Perfect Team]
Accommodations were immaculate and luxurious. Location convenient for all the surrounding sites & sounds Florence has to offer. Highly recommend Italy Perfect due to their exceptional professionalism, prompt communication during the entire booking, check-in and check-out process. [Thank you so much! The Italy Perfect Team]
The apartment in Florence is beautiful right on the river across from the Uffizi. The roof terrace is a great spot for morning coffee and before bed relaxing.Florence can be very crowded in peak season. Definitely see all the tourist sights but also take the time to experience the quieter neighborhoods to see how life is lived [Thank you so much Bob! The Italy Perfect Team]

Stayed 4 magnificent nights in Torella. Views from the bedroom of Duomo and Ponte Vecchio beyond words. Felt like we were in a castle. Apartment very comfortable. Kitchen sparse but good for cooking breakfast. Patio fabulous with views downriver. 10 minute walk to Duomo. Plenty of good restaurants and grocery nearby. AC and wifi worked very well. Not a place to come with any type of mobility issue as there are two sets of very narrow stairs to get into apartment and then to get to bedroom. The communication with Italy Perfect was flawless from reservation to check-in. Instructions for 1st time visitors to Italy very helpful. Would definitely stay in this apartment again and will most certainly rent from Italy Perfect and sister companies again. [Thank you so much! We are pleased you enjoyed your stay! My husband and I loved Torella. It was clean, perfect location away from the crowds, great view and everything we needed for our time in Florence. We found a lot of charater in the apartment with the 360 degree view in the bedroom, to the breakfast sitting area and outdoor patio. We always looked forward to coming home and having wine on the patio. We were concerned with the bathroom being down the narrow staircase from the bedroom, but it was never an issue. Brining your luggage up and down the stairs at the beginning and end isn't easy, but it would never keep us from returning. We even enjoyed the old lift except for the one night it wasn't closed completely and we had to walk up the 5 flights. After all the food and wine, we probably needed it. Highly recommend Torella!! [Italy Perfect thanks you for staying with us and for the nice review, we are so happy you enjoyed Torella. Ciao for now!]
We just spent 10 days in Florence at the Torella apartment. The location was great, right on the other side of the Arno, quiet, but very close to the Ponte Vechhio, Pitti Palace, and short walk to the Duomo. The apartment is very close to grocery shopping and restaurants. We have been to Florence many times, and this time explored more on our own, and stayed away from very touristy areas. One restaurant we loved was Signorvino right across the street. They have outdoor seating right on the Arno, and great food and wine. The apartment is small, but makes efficient use of the space. The large bed is very comfortable, and the room has 360 degree views of the city. You can watch the rowing club practice in the morning. The outdoor terrace is wonderful; we spent many evenings enjoying wine and hors doeuvres. Note there are a limited number of electrical outlets. When using the washing machine, we would recommend using the "rapido" cycle for a quick wash. The cycles are in Italian, so you are not sure what you are selecting. The air conditioners and WIFI worked fine. Overall a 5 star experience, we can't wait to go back, and Italy Perfect is a great company to work with!!!!! My husband and I spent 4 nights in this apartment in April 2018 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We absolutely enjoyed our stay, including the panoramic 360 views from the bedroom, the sunny terrace and convenient location. When we arrived we were greeted by Christiana and she explained everything clearly from how to use the antique elevator, to how to make italian coffee. Very clean and well stocked. The location was great with lots of good restaurants very close by as well as a great grocery and a wine store. We walked everywhere as the Uffizi was just across the river, Pite palace and Boboli gardens was around the corner. Really everything we wanted to do was minutes away, it would be hard to beat this location. The fact that the apartment is across the river meant that it was quieter at night, which we loved. We even walked to the train station twice, once to catch our wine tour bus, and once when we left, pulling our suitcases with us. In the apartment we found a very complete booklet with recommended restaurants, tours and shops. We tried several of the recommended places and were never disappointed and very pleased to be off the touristy choices. We loved that we could do some laundry as we made Florence the middle stop in our Italy tour between Rome and Venice. The bed was super comfy and roomy. We enjoyed relaxing in the little living room in the evenings when we were not on the terrace or eating out. This is an apartment with real character, and not a modern hotel. So, there were some compromises and challenges. We were somewhat surprised by the very narrow staircase up to the bedroom. This made the trip down to the bathroom in the middle of the night bit hairy, but the views offset the inconvenience. The antique elevator was charming but we did have to climb all 4 flights of stairs once when another resident did not properly close all the elevator doors (all 3 doors must be closed to allow operation). The bathroom was tiny and the only place we could plug in the iron was in the bathroom, which slowed us down a bit. We also did get bit by a few mosquitos as we slept with the windows open the first night, after which we used the little plug in mosquito repellers and slept with the air on as it had gotten quite warm. As long as you understand these challenges up front and are comfortable with them, you will love your stay in the Torella apartment. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in Florence!

This apartment is a perfect location with beautiful views of Florence, the river and the hills in all directions. We were glad we had the opportunity to stay 4 days with such a perspective on Florence. It is, as described, a cozy apartment. We found it clean and well maintained. The kitchen is minimal, and the lighting in it is poor, so it is not a place to do a lot of cooking. This may not be important to many short-term renters. For us, it would mean we would not try to return for more than a period of a few days. The fabulous bedroom requires the negotiation of a steep flight of narrow stairs, and can be a significant challenge to some people. (Difficult at night as the bathroom is on the main floor.)In summary, we thank you for making this lovely little tower available to us. We think a special note should be made on the website mentioning the potential challenges of both sets of stairs inside the apartment for some guests. [Thank you very much for your comments. So sorry you missed the information and photos in our advertisement that describe and show the small kitchen and the narrow steps to the bedroom. We will endeavor to point that out especially to inquiries. The Italy Perfect Team]
The tower bedroom is a spectacular treat. At night there is a panoramic view of the beautifully illuminated city monuments. The terrace is perfect for wine-o'clock. The apartment is small but very comfortable and the greeter was excellent. Five stars. [Thank you so much, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

The location is perfect the views are stunning. We enjoyed the terrace, perfect for a drink in the sun before going for dinner. Christiana, our welcomer was great. Very friendly and full of information.

My husband and I loved our stay at Torella. The location and the terrace were the highlights, but the property offered so much more. We have no complaints. This trip was our first time in Italy, so we really appreciate all the information that Italy Perfect provided to us in advance of our trip. They prepared us well, including providing check lists of things to bring (and not to bring), contacts to keep handy, and how to get to places. This information also really helped us manage our expectations of the property, and we were not disappointed. The arrival went as planned with no snags, and was quite efficient. The unit was well stocked with all the cooking, dining, cleaning, bathing and sleeping supplies you might need in a vacation rental. They had coffee and wine and some small snacks. They even had several tour books, reading materials, and maps available. The location was perfect walking distance to all major attractions, yet still had a residential/local feel. The unit had a radio and TV with many channels (several English-speaking). The WIFI was fast and reliable. We loved the ambiance of the building as well, from the beautifully large doors, charming (and working) lift that took us up the five flights, and decorative doorknobs. Everything set the stage for a relaxing and unforgettable stay. We had to call a taxi a few times, and they would always arrive promptly and never more than 3 - 5 minutes wait. There are many restaurants, shops and grocery stores nearby as well. I'm talking like less than a 3 minute walk! Lastly, I can't say enough about the terrace and the view from the bedroom. We spent many nights dining and drinking on the terrace. Often we would gaze out of the bedroom window, and look across at the Arno river, or people watch from a distance at the Uffizi. The views were magnificent and the street noise was minimal. I was able to do a load of laundry (they had detergent for us) and dry it out on the terrace using a drying rack from the unit. I also enjoyed the plants on the terrace! We offered to water them ourselves using the hose and tap on the terrace, rather than have the doorman come in and do it. That really gave it an even homier-feel for us. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay at Torella and would stay again.
Torella apt is picture perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. Situated across the river from Galileo Museum and within walking distance to all major sites in the heart of Florence. A doorman building, with a lift, and a small spiral staircase after the front door. There is another small staircase leading to the lovely bedroom, with 4 large French windows with spectacular views of Florence in four directions. A lovely terrace, not overlooking the river. You'll have everything you need in the pretty flat, to rest after sightseeing, and feel at home!! If you plan to travel with large suitcases, I would not recommend this for those travelers. Otherwise, I highly recommend Torella!! Thank You to the lovely ladies at Italy Perfect who helped me book it and greeted me on arrival. Grazie Mille!! The Torella apartment was the perfect place for our 6 day stay in Florence. The location was great. The apartment is very spacious & we loved the upstairs bedroom with the beautiful 360 degree views. The terrace was large and we enjoyed spending time outdoors. The kitchen & refrigerator were great and we got a lot of use out of the washing machine. We walked most of Florence & walked to the train station (20-25 minute walk) for several day trips. The doorman was very helpful in arranging taxi's for us when needed. The building is safe & secure & in a nice area. There is a market & wine store close by & many wonderful restaurants & shopping. We easily took day trips to Sienna, Pisa & Lucca. We did the Fun in Tuscany Chianti wine tour & loved it! We also did the Nude & Food tour with Florence for Foodies, highly recommend this tour. Don't miss the Central Market & great shopping in Florence. We truly enjoyed staying in this apartment! [Thank you Mark, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]
Torella apartment in Florence located overlooking the Arno 100 yards down from the Ponte Vecchio. The location could not have been better with great restaurants , a market, and ATM all 1 block away. The apartment had A/C, Tint bathroom with standup shower, a washing machine, small kitchen. Bedroom was upstairs and bathroom downstairs--this might have been a deal killer for my wife if we had realized the floor plan in advance. The patio had a great view of Piazza. Michelangelo. Pitti Palace and Piazza Signoria were both a 10 minute walk.We would certainly recommend the location but might have chosen a different single level apartment to avoid the nighttime trek down a narrow staircase. [Thank you so much for your kind review. So sorry you didn't see the photos and descriptions of the internal steps. We will work on further emphasis of that! The Italy Perfect Team.]
1. Overall, how did you find your accommodations? Excellent location, apartment, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, terrace, etc. 2. What did you think about the location and the surrounding area? Perfect. It's only about a 15 minute walk to the Santa Maria Novello Train Station. 3. Any tips for future guests including nearby sites, restaurants or shops? Signorvino restaurant and wine shop is just across the street from the apartment and was one of our favorite hangouts. outdoor seating overlooks the Arno River and the Ponte Vechio bridge. Great spot. 4. Would you recommend Italy Perfect to a friend? Yes. Absolutely. We ended up extending our stay from 4 nights to 8 nights since we enjoyed it so much.[It was so great that you liked it so much you doubled your stay! Thank you. The Italy Perfect Team]

We spent a week in Florence and made this apartment our home. The location is perfect. It is blocks away from the craziness of Ponte Vecchio, but close enough to everything that you need to be close to. The bedroom is wonderful. After you make your way up the creeky and narrow stairs, you have the most amazing vistas. In the evening hours, there are stunning sunsets. At night, the lights are wonderful. You will love staring across the Arno from the Uffici and saying, "hey! That's my bedroom!" And the terrace, oh the terrace.... You will see the many moods of the Arno and the lights of Florence; you'll be greeted by the distant steeple of San Mateo in the hills. You'll watch neighbors tend their window wells and sip their evening glass of wine. The managers were helpful but not intrusive. And the best thing is that at the end of the day you can relax and continue seeing the sights of Italy from your Florence home. Highly recommended.

The Torella apartment was not quite what we expected both good and bad. Owners often give you view pictures that are exaggerated but not here. The view picture which is from the bedroom on the top floor of the building in the ad is only one side. The view is completely 360 degrees of spectacular. The apartment itself was very neat and clean but a bit small and retrofitted and maybe a few to many stairs if your not a younger couple. As well the mattress was not the best and didn't sleep well, but all in all we would definitely stay there again. [ Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad to learn you had a lovely stay. Sorry the stairs were an issue. Fortunately you knew about them in advance. Italian mattresses like this one are normally one piece on a lattice of straps. They do not have box springs and tend to be firm. This mattress is about a year old, so it isn’t old. It might just be too firm. We will certainly see about this.]

My husband and I spent 5 fabulous days Florence in the Torella apartment. I recommend it 100%. The location is beyond perfect. The apartment itself is quirky, whimsical and awesome! The bedroom is literally perched on top of the building and has windows on all 4 walls. You feel like you are sitting on top of Florence. The patio is great too! But we were there during the 2015 heatwave, so our patio sitting was early am and late pm. Since we were there during a serious heat wave, having air conditioning was beyond wonderful. If you are traveling in the summer, I highly recommend making sure your rental has AC. Italy Perfect is an incredible and professional company. Everyone we had contact with was super helpful and accommodating. [Thanks so much for enjoying the apartment and Florence in spite of the heat. And thank you for your compliments. We were very pleased with the apartment; it was spacious and elegant with a magnificent view of the Arno River, Ponte Vecchio and the museums across the river. It was within easy walking distance of the major attractions and there were numerous restaurants in the area. They were good but it seems the quality of food seems to have gone down versus our earlier trip to Italy in the mid-80’s. That is not to say the food was bad, there just weren’t any “Ah-Ha” moments. Believe the food would have been better away from the cities. There is an excellent grocery store within a few hundred meters of the apartment that we made good use of. Like the French, the Italians don’t seem to be much on breakfast. Believe we hit the weather just right. A little later and things would have been uncomfortably warm. Support staff in Florence was great! They were very cordial and helpful for the few requests we made. In fact, the same can be said of all the Italian people we ran into. FYI, we had spent a week in Rome before taking the train to Florence. Many of the comments about Florence, especially the restaurants, held true there as well. The only negative we had was our departure from the Florence Airport. No one seemed to be in charge. There were long lines that you really weren’t sure of whether you were in the right one or not. Quite frankly, it reminded us of our days living in the middle east. Guess the best take away is be sure to have plenty of time allocated to airport activities.

Our trip to Florence for 9 days at the end of November couldn't have been more perfect, in large part due to the wonderful apartment we stayed in. Torella was an ideal location, a minute from the Ponte Vecchio, around the corner from the Pitti Palace and across the Arno from the Uffizi. The apartment itself was comfortable and cozy, with breathtaking views from the bedroom at all hours. One of the unexpected bonuses was that it was extremely quiet; no sound from other apartments, neighbors or even the street. We enjoyed the terrace and found the living room very relaxing. Both our greeter and the doorman were extremely helpful, which was especially important considering our luggage was lost on the trip there. They were instrumental in our obtaining it without further problems. We loved being close to the main attractions, but also the quiet small streets and piazzas in this region, and especially the artisans of the Santo Spirito neighborhood. Restaurants within walking distance were all superb, and we found the recommendations in the apartment very helpful. We also made daily trips to the grocery store down the street, perfect for supplies for breakfast or snacks. We were able to do what we had hoped this vacation could do: relax and live as the locals might, walking everywhere, enjoying the beauty and vibrancy of this beautiful Italian city. We can't wait to return. [We can’t wait to welcome you again! The Italy Perfect Team]

We spent a great week in Florence at this unique apartment. The location is ideal: walking distance to everything, and yet out of the city center bustle. And the views in all directions from this top floor apartment: fantastic, especially at sunset and at night. As others have pointed out, residents of this apartment must navigate a flight of stairs to get from the elevator to the apartment, and another flight of stairs to get up to the bedroom. We wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility problems...but the space and the views make it well worth it if you don't mind the extra climb. Christiana our greeter was friendly and thorough, and very accommodating to our need for a late check out.Two recommendations for nearby activities in the Oltrarno area: take in a light dinner and wine tasting at the enoteca Le Volpi e l'Uva, and (if you're a music lover) an opera performance at St. Mark's English Church. Both are a quick 10-minute walk from Torella (longer if you stop for gelato on your way home!). [Thank you so much for your review, Paul and Susan. We are enjoying Florence and the apartment through your eyes. Thank you for the dining and entertainment suggestions, too! The Italy Perfect Team]

We thought it was very nice. The location was the best. We enjoyed a couple of evenings on the veranda. It was also nice to have the fridge and the coffee pot. The stairs from the bed room were a little tough to navigate in the middle of the night. Christiana, our greeter, was so delightful and helpful. We were without the internet for most of four days which was a little frustrating. We also lost power in the central corridor one evening so after a long day of site seeing we were pretty disappointed to have to climb the 126 steps to our apartment. The place was also clean and well appointed. All in all, we felt we chose a good place to stay.Sorry for the problem with the internet as well as the elevator. There was a hurricane that took out the router and electricity for a short while, hence the elevator not working for one trip. We apologize.

Those views were spectacular. I have been to Florence half a dozen times and I wanted to give my wife a stunning first look at the city, a real wow factor. We were met downstairs after a harrowing trip and the greeter was wonderful. Just a note, the two flights of steps could be a challenge if you aren’t fit. When we walked thru the apartment we were delighted, the deck was spectacular. Then, upstairs in the tower bedroom, my wife looked out the window and practically shouted “WOW”. I couldn’t have scripted it any better. That tower bedroom was wonderful. A note, because I’m a tall man, I had to be careful of bumping my head going down stairs and in the kitchen. We really enjoyed eating outside, it was great. As usual in Italy, the electrical system is underpowered and we kept tripping the circuit breaker. It was great; we loved it. Thank you so much, so glad you made it and it impressed your wife so delightfully. The Italy Perfect Team

Our stay was wonderful, the Florence apartment was awesome and your service during our trip preparation and the on site greeter was great. The apartment had many nice features, notably the deck with awesome views and sunsets, the central location, all the amenities nearby, the neatest bedroom on the top of Florence with 360 degree views, and the most cool elevator. The air conditioner, laundry, shower, cooking equipment all worked well. We would be happy to stay there again, and / or use your group for another vacation destination.

The apartment is clean with a wonderful balcony and beautiful views. The location is perfect with easy access to everything. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. It would have been helpful to explain the parking situation in advance. This was a constant headache during our stay and had to walk quite a ways in order to take our car anywhere. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We will inform guests with cars about the parking! - Italy Perfect.

Just spent two wonderful weeks in the Torrella apartment rented through Italy Perfect! The apartment was exactly as represented on the website...small, but adorable! We did not plan to cook while there and instead enjoyed many wonderful restaurants all within walking distance, but we did enjoy having breakfast in the dining area and drinks on the terrace every afternoon, The bedroom in the turret and the views from the porch were even better than we expected! All of our dealings with Italy Perfect were a breeze and the greeter/contact person in Florence was a delight. Everyone even handled a bit of a crazy crisis that we had with humor and professionalism both! Hope to return soon!

This was our first trip to Florence and we chose this apartment because it seemed like the perfect place. We were not disappointed. The location was incredible - easy walking distance to the places we wanted to visit and the views!! The apartment had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. It was close to shops, groceries, restaurants, gelato(!)so we did not have far to go for things we needed. Our greeter met us as scheduled (even though we didn't know our arrival time until the week before), was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in letting us know how to operate things and where to go for what we needed. We would definitely stay in Torella again.
The Torella apartment was amazing and exceeded our expectations. From the cozy bedroom with the amazing panoramic views of Florence to the beautiful terrace which was a safe haven after a busy day of sight seeing. The staff at Italy Perfect are welcoming and very helpful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The location was wonderful, close to restaurants and groceries stores. We will highly recommend Italy Perfect and hope to be return customers soon. Grazie!

We stayed in Torella for a week in april and it could not have been better. The booking process was simple and the information provided by Italy Perfect was very helpful and thorough. Our greeter met us at the apartment and could not have been more helpful. It is a cozy apartment on the top floor of a very nice building. The lift makes quick work of the trip to the top and the small flight of stairs was easy enough to negotiate. The bathroom and kitchen are on the small side but the connecting window from the kitchen to the dining area was convenient. The living area is comfy and the TV is nice although we never actually turned it on. Internet is easy to use and quick enough to keep everyone at home updated with photos. The bedroom is above the living area and is incredibly beautiful. You have 4 huge windows looking out over Florence in every direction. I don't think there is a better view anywhere in Florence. Then there is patio where we spent the majority of our time. It's wonderful with fantastic views of the neighborhood below and beautiful skies. It's also a great place to listen to all the church bells ringing. The location is perfect. Ponte Vecchio is about 1 block away as well as the market. We used the little market almost daily to buy simple things for dinner that we could enjoy on the patio. Cantina del Gelato is a few doors down from the building so you're never far from world class gelato. Lungarno 23 is also a few doors down from the building and has a great burger menu if you're craving that sort of thing. Everything in Florence seems to be no more than 20 minutes away by foot and we had some of our best times just walking through the neighborhood around the apartment. If you are travelling as a couple I can't think of a better place to spend your time in Florence.

The apartment was beautiful and located centrally. It is well appointed and the patio is delightful. Our greeter was delightful and very helpful. Great experience.

My visit was wonderful. My expectations were exceeded. I felt the website understated the magnificence of the tower bedroom. I had a magical New Years Eve watching fireworks go off around the city - all from the comfort of my bedroom. Florence is an incredible place, and the apartment is ideally situated. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything went. Italy Perfect is perfect!

Torella was a fabulous location, wonderful views of the Arno River and terrifically close to the Ponte Vecchio, Pizzi Palace and other sites. Easily walked all around Florence, both sides of the river. You need to be very good friends with whomever you travel with, as the bedroom is small, kitchen tiny, bathroom too. Everything worked, although the sliding glass door to the terrace was unbearably hard to slide. The apartment was clean, tidy and in overall good condition. There are too many sites and restaurants to recommend, so I won't. Perhaps a bit expensive for the small size of the apartment and the 5th floor location. [It is a small apartment and if it didn't have a terrace, elevator and 360° view, the price would definitely be lower;-) Italy Perfect] The elevator was quite a help with the luggage. I would recommend Italy Perfect to a friend. Our greeter Christina was helpful.

Apartment tho small had everything we needed. Stairs were a little "dicey" for me. All in all 2 weeks in Torella was fine. Location couldn't have been better. Our greeter Christiana was great, attentive to all of our needs.

This was my first trip to Italy. I stayed in Rome, and spent a week in Florence, staying in the apartment called Torella. The location was perfect, and the apartment was amazing. When I toured the apt, I was so in awe with the views from the bedroom windows, I had to call the office the next day and ask all the questions I forgot to ask...my trip to Italy was the best trip ever, and staying in this apartment, Torella, made all the difference. When I return, I will want to stay in no other place but this apartment. Everyone associated was very nice and helpful, I highly recommend this organization and location!! Thank you, again.....Mark

The Torella apartment is one of the smallest in the Palazzo and as such had a minute kitchen and no dishwasher. But it did have excellent air conditioning which we were very grateful for. The location is good, in a Palazzo (block of flats) on a riverside street on the left bank of the river, across the water from the main tourist attractions yet only a few minutes walk to the Ponte Vechio and to an excellent supermarket. There is a doorman on duty during ‘office hours’ Monday to Friday After taking the lift to the fifth floor there are two sets of stairs, one from the front door up to the living room and another from the living room up to the bedroom. The bedroom is the highlight of the flat. It is the turret on top of the Palazzo with a 360 degree view all over Florence. The views are only visible from the bed or when standing up, the bottoms of the windows are too high to see much from a chair. Down the (narrow) stairs the living room is largely enclosed with one window looking out to a blank wall and a better view via another room onto the terrace. There is a multichannel TV but the only English Language Channels were News Programmes. Not a room to linger in. [There is a DVD player available.] The kitchen is between the living room and the bathroom (nice big shower) and is minute. There is barely room for two people to stand there, there is a two ring hot plate and one electric socket into which one has a choice of plugging in a microwave, a kettle, a toaster or a coffee maker. Any lead plugged in then trails across the hotplate so a considerable degree of care is needed when using the kitchen. There is a clothes washer in the bathroom but no oven (except microwave) and no dishwasher. Outside from the living room is a small light dining area with full length patio doors opening onto the terrace. There is a hatch between dining area and kitchen. The terrace has a good view to the hills away from the river and a view from one end of the upper reaches of the river. It is an excellent place for eating out, for catching the sun and for watching the sunset. Our visit to Florence was marked by me being taken ill in the flat and then being taken to hospital by ambulance. The stairs were quite difficult for the ambulance men to manoeuvre but they managed. I was very impressed by the care taken by the Office (who guided us as to how to get an ambulance), by the doorman, Paolo Do Brilla, who translated for the ambulance men and by our greeter, whose name I have mislaid, who visited me during my brief stay in the hospital and also collected my prescription from the chemist,. They made a difficult experience less difficult. Outside we tended to eat in the Oltrarno (left bank) and the Sopr’arno (overlooking the Arno) and would recommend Trattoria Borgo Antico in Piazza Santo Spirito 6r, an easy walk from the flat. There is a great view from the Turret and the terrace, the place is comfortable, but the lack of an adequate kitchen would put us off going again. Fine if you want to eat out all the time, not otherwise.

Loved this apartment! The views from the bedroom are sublime. It is a dream. So enjoyed having my morning coffee and evening wine on the terrace. The location could not be better-quiet, yet an immersive experience. You really feel that you are a part of the fabric of Florence. Highly recommend any of the tours by ArtViva. The office is an easy walking distance from the apartment, and all of the tours originate there. We will be back and we will request the same apartment!
We were met by Cristiana at the front of the Palazzo when our cab arrived. She was very nice and showed us everything in the apartment, answered all our questions and offered up some restaurant tips. The apartment is exactly as advertised; clean, quiet and well appointed with a lovely terrace and fantastic views from the bedroom. Everything worked well and the airconditioner cooled the room very effectively and quickly. The kitchen is small but sufficient for preparing breakfast. The stair up to the bedroom is a bit narrow but presented no problem. There was an iron and ironing board, a washing machine and a drying rack which worked great on the terrace. Internet worked fine. The location is fantastic, just a 1-2 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, very close to Pitti Palace and a short walk to the main sites on the other side of the river. It's a nice, perhaps 15 minute walk to the main train station (we day-tripped to Pisa). Nearby Museo Bardini is a little known gem. Buy Uffizi tickets in advance! There is a great little grocery store very close by the apartment (about 1 minute walk). There are many Oltrarno restaurants worth checking out; we only crossed the river for dinner once. Borgo San Iacopo has several trattorie that we visited. The information packet provided by Italy Perfect was the most extensive, complete set of information I've ever received in advance of visiting a rental apartment, anywhere. I would return to this apartment and would recommend to friends.

We were in Florence for a week, after Venice and before Rome, and only in Florence did we find our apartment through Italy Perfect. Had we known better, we would have tried to book through this company for our entire trip. The apartment was exactly as shown on the pictures and as everyone has stated, the views are incredible. The inclusion of a patio was an added touch. We would start our days with breakfasts on the patio, and sometimes even sundowners too. Cooking was made super easy as all kitchenware and appliances have been included, right down to an american coffee maker and also an italian one, and certain food items (e.g. coffees, olive oil) too that otherwise would have been difficult to purchase for just a few days. The apartment had everything you might need, including maps, guidebooks, and a welcome bottle of prosecco in the fridge! The location was just perfect - central to every major site and museum while offering a complete escape from the crowd and noise. The best thing about working with Italy Perfect is that communication has always been prompt, respectful and informative, from before we made our mind up about the apartment, right up to now, a couple of weeks after we have left. There were absolutely no surprises. Lisa is a fantastic resource, both with respect to the apartments she manages and Florence and Italy in general. Grazie mille!

The accommodations and location were more than we expected, they were wonderful!!! The accommodations were perfect and had everything we needed, plus cable for our computer. We were greeted by the agent who showed us how to operate everything. We were also left a welcome package which included a bottle of wine. There were also condiments left. The view from our bedroom was fabulous. The location was near everything, it was easy to walk to the market and restaurants and go sight seeing. The service, the accommodations, location were all "5 Star" and we would use them again.

It was a FANTASTIC location. The apartment was wonderful and the location made for some great pictures.
The Torella apartment was amazing. It was on the top floor of a building along the arno River, facing the Uffizi Gallery. Every window in the bedroom had a wonderful view of the city. The apartment’s location was an easy starting point to walk to any location in central Florence. Every day for two weeks, we walked across Ponte Vecchio to begin our journeys into the city. The Uffizi was only 5 minutes away by foot. There was a great grocery store around the corner from us. They seemed to have fresh bread almost every hour. The apartment’s kitchen met all our needs, including the multiple coffee makers. Our favorite was the Italian coffee maker. We ended up buying two for back home. The apartment was perfect for us. It was always very quiet. The aC was a blessing for our two weeks in July. It was like diving into a swimming pool after being in town for the day. The washer worked perfectly. There were more than 8 settings that determined how long you wanted the wash cycle to last. For drying, there were at least 30 hangers to use, which were easy to use on the balcony. The TV had cable television with European and american stations. The internet connection worked very fast. The building’s doorman was very nice. Overall, a great experience. We were only a few buildings away from where they filmed room with a view!

The Torella apartment was fantastic. The location and views from the bedroom and terrace are more spectacular than the pictures indicate. The air conditioning in the bedroom and the living room work well, even on the hottest days of July. You'll need to be in shape to go up and down the stairs, but it is well worth it. The hosts were very welcoming, provided information on the area and even bottles of water, wine and soda. We only have two minor criticisms of the apartment: The couch isn't the most comfortable and the washing machine doesn't work too well. It stained some of our clothes and took hours and hours to complete a load of laundry - althought we readily admit it could have been user error. Overall we loved the apartment, would rent it again and will use Italy Perfect again on our next trip abroad.

Laura checked us in. She was so kind to tell us where we could find a market. A map would have been really useful since we were tired from traveling all night, we couldn't remember what she had said. I loved the patio and the views from the bedroom. It was lovely to be away from all the street noise and confusion in the hotel areas and just relax. Of all the places we went in Italy, this was my favorite by far. The most fun we had was giving ourselves permission not to schedule anything; just get lost and explore. What a wonderful place to start our marriage. Thanks so much. We'll be back!

I had a great time in Florence staying at La Torella. It could not have been better. The location is perfect. The apartment is delightful. It would not, however, be for someone who doesn't like to climb stairs! But I'm an old mountain goat and thought it just right. Since I was working some of the time. I loved the terrace. On sunny days I would sit out there working, facing eastward up river.
