It doesn’t get more Dolce Vita than this! Picture yourself relaxing on the verdant terrace in the heart of historic Rome. The beautifully appointed Sonata apartment is located on a small street just minutes from famous Campo del Fiori, Piazza Navona and directly across the river from enchanting Trastevere. You could not be more central.

Immerse yourself in Roman history, culture, and dining from this coveted location. Indulge in a cappuccino and sweet maritozzo at Roscioli Caffe’ in the morning, explore the sites with museum-going, tours, dine to your heart’s delight at any of the many fabulous restaurants in the neighborhood. Nearby shopping on chic Via dei Coronari, Via del Governo Vecchio or Via Giulia where the Italian artistry of fine clothing, antiques, leather goods and jewelry is on display.

The building dates back to the 1400’s, one can only imagine the history its walls have witnessed.

The Sonata apartment will make your heart sing with its warm and elegant design mixed with features that incorporate original beamed ceilings and Juliette balconies. Wall niches dating back centuries that were discovered hidden behind the walls during the renovation and now bookshelves, all of which blends beautifully into the careful and tasteful design. The color palette was inspired by the rich colors inside the church directly across the street, Santa Maria in Monticelli. Be sure to stop in to admire it while you’re there.

The living room is a masterpiece in refined decor with pleasant views out to the charming terrace. The terrace will be your outdoor living room during the many months of the year when Rome’s mediterranean climate prevails. The carved, gilded antique mirror on the living room wall cleverly reflects the terrace views. A comfy sofa and two armchairs complete the room.

The kitchen is meticulously designed and appointed, with top-of-the-line appliances. The dining area is comfortable and boasts charming views from the Juliette balcony over the church. Observe daily rituals of the church rectory’s caretaker-cook tending to herbs on the roof of the church: basil, rosemary, thyme, marjoram. A secret world of Roman charm you never knew existed. The banquette seating for the dining table provides a comfortable spot for lounging over a long meal, or for catching up on work with your laptop while enjoying the views outside.

From the bedroom, also with a Juliette balcony, you can wake up each morning and take in the views of the of the church’s beautiful bell tower without even stepping out of bed. The bedroom is very spacious and has loads of closet space with an entire wall of closets and cupboards opposite the bed. The en suite bathroom has a large shower.

A second full bathroom is off the hallway, perfect for couples or friends who like to each have their own bathroom, or when there are three people staying, with one sleeping on the comfortable sofa bed in the living room.
