The Frantoio Villa has sweeping views of gently rolling hills dotted with olive orchards in a region famous for wine and olive oil. There are so many ways to relax, whether it is vigorous hiking, leisurely nature walks, bird watching, visiting wineries or lounging poolside with a glass of wine.

Location

Located in the Valdambra (Ambra Valley) area between Siena and Arezzo, you'll love the unspoiled beauty and scenic views of olive orchards. This is an area with deep roots in agricultural traditions. A short drive from the villa is the medieval village of Ambra where there is a grocery store and a few shops. The town of Bucine has a supermarket, shops, restaurants and a small train station. Put on your ‘must see' list a drive to Cortona, made famous by author Frances Mayes book ‘Under the Tuscan Sun' and Arezzo, famous for its antiques market, charm, and medieval jousting. Siena is a 45 minute drive, Florence an hour, and Rome`s airport about three hours. You can avoid driving into Florence by catching the train in Bucine that gets you right into the center of that city in an hour.

Exterior

The Frantoio Villa is a beautiful, stately stone farmhouse that blends the best of Tuscan charm with all the beauty and comfort of refined Italian taste. Get your camera ready to capture the breathtaking 360 degree views of the valley below from the pristine grounds that are lush with trees, fragrant herbs and flowers.

The shaded pergola poolside has ample lounge chairs and has gorgeous views of the valley stretching out below. Enjoy meals al fresco at the outdoor dining table.

Separate from the main house is an annex with two bedrooms and a hot tub.

Interior

Decorated in a tasteful Tuscan style, the ground floor has a large and comfortable living room, a dining room that can seat 20 people, a fully equipped kitchen.

The mezzanine has two bedrooms. One of these bedrooms has a second door that opens to the garden. The laundry room is on this level.

The upper floor has 5 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Two of these bedrooms have direct garden access.

The annex, just a few feet from the main house, has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
