Welcome to the Forez! This charming one-bedroom rental in Paris’ desirable 6th arrondissement is guaranteed to make your Paris getaway cozy and memorable. With its enviable location, the city is on your doorstep at the Forez.

The Forez showcases traditional Parisian design with sleek modern touches, resulting in an elegant combination of new and old, and a feeling of luxury living. Through the doorway and to the right you’ll find a gorgeous open-plan living room and kitchen with the extra bonus of a dining table for special evenings in. A modern sofa and coffee table beautifully offset the exposed ceiling beams and antique-style mirrors. Throw open the large French windows for plenty of natural light. The sleek kitchen, set partially on a kitchen island, integrates perfectly with the living area, creating a more sociable atmosphere, while making the most of the space. A cute, tiled bathroom is situated to the left of the entrance way. The bedroom is bright and comfortable with plenty of storage. Light and inviting, this well-equipped apartment will provide a most comfortable base for your Parisian retreat.

On the Rue Monsieur le Prince you’ll be able to spot the remnants of the old city walls. These medieval fortifications integrate with the surrounding architecture and serve as a reminder of Paris’ rich history. The surrounding neighborhood is filled with interesting historical monuments, including the city’s oldest church, Saint-Germain-des-Prés walk 10 minutes to discover a small museum dedicated to Eugène Delacroix, one of France’s most eminent painters – it’s well worth a visit! The winding streets of Saint Germain are lined with wonderful boutiques and luxury stores, great book shops and iconic cafés. Spend an afternoon at the city’s oldest department store, Le Bon Marché and take lunch at Les Deux Magots, once a favourite spot of France’s top intellectuals and artists. With the famous sights of Île de la Cité less than 15 minutes away, the Forez is truly a perfect rental!

Charming Apartment, Great Location!

by Meredith Turnbow

My sister, niece and I so enjoyed our 7-night stay at Paris Perfect's Forez apartment. We were first attracted by the apartment's charming decor with its large light-filled windows, wood beamed ceilings, chandeliers and abundance of mirrors. We absolutely loved the location which was within walking distance to numerous attractions, charming neighborhoods and cafes, as well as the Metro station. We were a little concerned having just a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment for 3 ladies, but found that it was plenty spacious enough for the 3 of us in terms of sleeping, clothes storage and getting ready. We used the mirrored kitchen counter as a large additional vanity space. The sofa has a trundle bed that pops up for the additional guest which was comfortable enough and easy to set-up and take-down. It was great that the apartment had an elevator, but you did have to access it up a flight of stairs and then another flight to get to the apartment. We appreciated the personal greeting and arrival gift basket with water, wine, juice, coffee, cookies, etc. It was nice to have someone walk us through the apartment details like the elevator and the key fob entry to the building; then how to work some of the things in the apartment like the appliances, heaters, shower, and the windows/shutters, etc. The neighborhood felt very safe and is mostly pretty quiet, but as mentioned in some of the reviews, it can be a little noisy at night with the cafe right across the street. It does quiet down by the time you go to sleep. The garbage trucks do seem to run fairly frequently (and the recycle glass dumping is especially loud), but they don't start until 8-8:30 am on the days they do come, so it shouldn't interfere with your sleep. We would definitely stay in this apartment and with Paris Perfect again. We appreciated their personal touches and communication before and during our trip. We would highly recommend this apartment to other people wanting a quintessential Paris experience.

SUPERB APARTMENT

by Louise

My husband and I stayed at Forez over New Year, for 8 nights. It really was the perfect location. You get to experience Paris either on foot or by catching the Metro or the local bus. We walked for miles, soaking up all the atmosphere, shopped the local boutiques, grabbed a coffee and tea in the many, many coffee shops. We ate some amazing meals, devoured chocolates and fudge and drank gorgeous champagne, all within walking distance of Forez. We were able to walk to the market and stock up on cheese, crackers, wine etc. We walked to the River, Notre Dame, Le Bon Marche and the most amazing Chapel, Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. The staff at Paris Perfect were amazing, especially Tomas, our greeter. He gave us some great restaurant tips. The apartment was cozy, super comfortable bed, it had everything we required and we felt really safe there. Such a beautiful experience and we can't wait to come back.

Loved our stay

by Brianne Daul

This was my first time to Paris and I was traveling with a 10 year old and 16 year old. I needed to make sure that our space was big enough and also centrally located to make getting around easier. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. The neighborhood was nice and I felt very safe the whole time. Our greeter, was lovely and ran to the store to grab us some essentials like milk, biscuits, and wine. He gave us tips on his favorite places in the area and was reachable if we needed anything. In terms of noise, I'm from the NYC area so it didn't bother me much - it was actually quieter. I do wish there was another AC in the living room, as I gave the kids the master with the AC and I slept on the pullout sofa with just a fan. All in all, it was great!

Thank you for your review, Brianne, we are happy you enjoyed your stay at the Forez! We are pleased you were able to use the fan in the living room, the fans are usually efficient. We look forward to welcoming you again! The Paris Perfect Team

Light Filled Apartment !

by Susan

We (two of us) spent 12 nights in the Forez apartment. It is bright with four tall windows in the main room, on a corner; the bedroom is more than adequate, comfortable with plenty of closet/drawer space, plus two great windows ! Mirrors abound! The bathroom is not large but is quite fine with enough shelves and has a great towel heater ! We had hoped to have a chef come in to cook one special meal but found there was only a microwave oven (plus a stovetop) in the kitchen and decided against it for this trip. Since we enjoy walking, we were delighted to be close to the Pont Neuf, the Marché St Germain, the Boulevards of St Germain & St Michel, the Luxemburg Gardens and the cathedral St Suplice. We walked everywhere easily to these locations and beyond. The manager, Thomas, and the attendant, Elliott, who assisted us when we arrived were exceedingly helpful and deserve applause. The admin staff for Paris Perfect was, before and during the stay, very responsive, very professional. The apartment was very clean; the hallways in the building (which Paris Perfect has nothing to do with) could be improved. Regarding the noise, yes, some nights there was city noise; some nights quiet; two nights a lovely minstrel performance on the corner. Forez provides many reasons to consider a return visit.

Thank you, Susan, we are happy you enjoyed staying at the Forez! We are so sorry that you changed your plans to have a chef cook a special dinner – the microwave is in fact a microwave-oven combination and would have been suitable for cooking. We do mention under the amenities on the website that it is a combination, we are sorry you missed that! We look forward to welcoming you again! The Paris Perfect Team

Would rent it again!

by Peggy

We were very comfortable in this apartment, with its big windows, great location so close to the Luxembourg Gardens, and modern amenities. The washer/dryer was a big help as we were traveling for a few more weeks when we left Paris. The street noises died down before we went to bed so it was quiet enough for us. Would have liked to have another comfortable chair and another floor lamp would’ve been nice, but otherwise we were very satisfied and would definitely go back!

Just about perfect

by Dlp

The Forez is a gem. Great part of town. Great cheese and wine and flower stores within a block. Everything you need. Lovely views from the corner. Beautiful beamed ceiling and lots of mirrors. But … it is quite a loud neighborhood given the Sorbonne is across the street and the soundproofing to the outside is minimal. You will enjoy students going home from parties and Paris‘wonderful garbage trucks on their early daily rounds. We didn’t mind it much but it is worth noting. And Thomas the host is just super

Great Location

by Jerome Hey

We have stayed in 2 other Paris Perfect apartments over the years and have been thrilled with them. We decided on La Forez this trip because we wanted to be in a different location. Positives were that the apartment was full of light and close to many restaurants and tourist sights, kitchen was well-equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Negatives were that as others have said, it was VERY noisy late into the night because of the nearby university and there were no toiletries in the apartment as we had been told. Our greeter ran to the nearby market to get shampoo and soap for us. We wouldn’t stay in La Forez again, but would certainly reserve another apartment with Paris Perfect.

Thank you Jerome, we are pleased you found the apartment to be full of light, well-equipped and comfortable. We sincerely apologize that the apartment manager initially didn’t provide toiletries but are glad that the greeter was able to go to a nearby market to get shampoo and soap. With regards to the noise, we do make a special point to ensure all guests are well informed before booking that it is a lively neighborhood. The Paris Perfect Team

An apartment filled with light in a charming neighborhood

by Larry Good

We enjoyed our stay in Forez. The location was convenient for all the activities we had planned. The views from the large third floor windows were nice! Bedding was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped for our breakfasts and cocktail hour snacks. There were not enough electrical convenience outlets to handle the charging of our devices. The property manager had to be called to restore the Wi-Fi service. The TV did not work…but we didn’t care because we were always out and about. The building is quiet, but the street scene outside was loud until 2AM or so, causing us to need to close our windows while trying to get to sleep. The positives outweighed the negatives, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use Vacation Perfect for a future vacation rental.

Forez is Bright, Well-equipped, Great Neighborhood!

by Anita

Beautiful, clean, sunny apartment! Great central location to everything. Kitchen was well-equipped with induction stove, dishwasher, micro/convection combo and washer/dryer combo. Very comfortable night's sleep ~ great mattress and bedding! The greeter was exceptionally welcoming, accommodating and offered excellent restaurant recommendations!

Forez Review

by Anne G
We really enjoyed the location of the Forez apartment, so close to Luxembourg Gardens and the Odeon Metro stop. The apartment felt spacious because of the high ceilings, big windows, and lots of mirrors. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of closet space. We liked having the sound system to stream our music. We used the kitchen with success to cook omelettes and to heat up takeaway food. Our favorite place to get morning croissants and takeaway food was Mulot, about 3 blocks away. We recommend Le Comptoir du Relais at the Carrefour de l'Odeon; also, Cafe Breizh for galettes. The covered market St. Germain had some wonderful food items, too. There was some street noise late at night, the loud voices of young people who had been out partying, which carried up to the third floor from the street. That didn't deter us from loving our stay at Forez. We would gladly stay there again. The only improvement I would wish for was an adjustment to the lighting. I recommend putting a dimmer switch on the big chandelier in the main room. It's a bit too bright for the ambiance we preferred in the evenings, so we often turned it off and just used the other lamps, which didn't provide quite enough light. An alternative would be to add one more table lamp to the apartment. As always (this is our fourth time renting) we appreciate the service of Paris Perfect and the standard of care in the apartments: nice and helpful greeter, clean apartment with good quality linens and towels, well-outfitted kitchen, decent wine and snacks in the welcome basket, coffee, milk, and juice provided. They make it easy to feel 'at home' in Paris.

Smooth check-in, very clean apartment. We really enjoyed the 6th, a fun change from our usual spot in the 7th. A bit more happening and more of a young feel.
