The villa is tucked away on a small street that gently rises from Piazzale Flaminio. Go up one block to a private gated entry to enter the verdant grounds of this special retreat, so close and yet so far from the hustle and bustle of central Rome. The street continues up for another 2 blocks, eventually opening into the beautiful Borghese Gardens.

Experience the best of city and country at Villa Aurora, situated on a beautiful 7 acre noble estate with all of Rome at your doorstep. There are a few other villas, owned by the same family for many centuries, on the estate each situated with maximum privacy and security.

Location

The Piazza del Popolo and Spanish Step area is yours to enjoy from this amazing location tucked away in the heart of Rome. Located just above Piazzale Flaminio and backing up to the Borghese Gardens, enjoy Rome from a rare and exclusive vantage point that few visitors to Rome get to experience.

Exterior

The large garden provides an unusually ample amount of outdoor space and gives guests an opportunity to enjoy a bit of La Dolce Vita with meals at the large patio table that seats up to 10 people.

Interior

Refined and sophisticated decor that befits the special location makes Villa Aurora a terrific vacation home for families and friends.

An impressive marble entry foyer with stairs leading up to the upper floors greets you as you cross the threshold.

Panoramic views from the many windows overlook the gardens. The large living room with working fireplace seats a crowd. Large twin sofas face each other, complemented by twin love seats and several armchairs ample seating. Enjoy views of the garden from two sets of large windows.

The large dining room brings the garden indoors with beautiful trompe l'oeil on the walls and ceiling. One side of the room is a wall-to-wall window with views of the garden. There are two round dining tables.

Even the kitchen has a large picture window facing the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, tea kettle, pots, pans, dishes. A table in the kitchen can seat up to four people.

Also on this floor is a half-bath and a laundry room.

Utilities/Taxes: Heat and A/C dates on/off and daily cycles are set by government.

Piazza del Popolo (4 mins Walking)
Landmark piazza in Rome, the medieval northern entrance to the city that welcomes with the beautiful lion fountain and Egyptian obelisk. Pedestrian area so enjoy buskers. The most famous church is the smallest where the Angel & Demons book/movie had some drama, but there is much more to it.
Borghese Gardens (5 mins Walking)
Very large park and gardens in the heart of Rome with walking paths, fountains, ponds, architecture, restaurants and the must-visit Galleria Borghese museum. You can rent bikes and pedal cabs.
Spanish Steps (13 mins Walking)
One of the most famous piazzas in the world with the beautiful steps rising from the Barcaccia ("bad boat") fountain to the Trinita dei Monti church. Neighborhood for designer shopping and people-watching.
Coliseum (15 via Subway mins Walking)
Icon of Rome and Roman times, the arena of the gladiators.
Pantheon (25 mins Walking)
Must-visit. This temple to all the gods (pan-theon in Greek) breathes history starting with its architecture from 2000 years ago. It is the only complete monument from Roman times. Built of concrete, the hemispherical roof is of one piece with its hole in the center.
Piazza Navona (25 mins Walking)
Iconic piazza of Rome where Romans once raced their chariots. Three beautiful fountains the chief being the Fountain of the Four rivers. Enjoy street musicians and small vendors. Great place to hang out, dine and have a gelato.
St. Peter's Basilica (25 mins Walking)
One of the holiest catholic churches, the church of the Pope. It is very large and filled with inspiring and beautiful art and areas. A tour is recommended.
Vatican Museums (25 mins Walking)
The incomparable art collections of the Popes over the centuries. Unique and historically significant places such as the Sistine Chapel. Tour guide and early arrival are recommended.
