Location

The secluded and relaxing Villa Landolfo is located a prime area of Tuscany, with a wealth of attractions nearby. Stroll to charming town of Lucignano, less than a 1 mile walk.

It is close to both Tuscan and Umbrian attractions. The medieval walled town of Lucignano has shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Lucignano, the pearl of Valdichiana, is one of the most interesting examples of medieval town planning with its elliptical structure based on concentric rings. It's a hidden gem, authentic and untouched by mass tourism, a place suspended out of time. Be sure to visit the elaborate reliquary made for the church of San Francesco in the Museum of Lucignano. Called the l'albero della vita (The Tree of Life) the central stem is supported on a Gothic reliquary, from which spread out twelve branches, surmounted by a Crucifix and a pelican. On the branches there are sprigs of coral, representing the blood of Christ.

The villa is within 30 miles of Arezzo, Siena and Lake Trasimeno and so many more amazing and sites and villages. Go horseback riding, play tennis, tour wineries, get out on the water in Lake Trasimieno there are endless possibilities surrounding you!

Local train and bus service connects through Arezzo, or drive @ 15 minutes to the Arezzo train station that has direct service north to Florence and south to Rome.

Exterior

With a peaceful and bucolic setting, the villa sits amid extensive private grounds with sprawling vistas of wooded hillsides.

The traditional, symmetrical stone villa has a grand arched entryway and boasts a Tuscan tower rising from the center of the roof. You will love exploring the villas ample grounds and luxuriating in the large swimming pool complete with a pool house including dressing and shower rooms. A very large shaded pergola has its own dining and comfortable lounge area with plentiful seating, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. You could easily spend the whole day floating in the pool, soaking up the sunshine, reading, napping, dining.this home will inspire and recharge you!

Interior

Combining modern conveniences with traditional style, the spacious living room has a lovely working fireplace and several large windows that bring in lots of natural light. Adjacent, a formal dining room with circular table seats eight and overlooks the garden. The well equipped kitchen is bright, modern and simple to keep tidy and includes a breakfast table with seating for six.

The rooms are generously sized with attractive furnishings and bold artwork mixing wonderfully with traditional elements. Beautiful beamed ceilings, Tuscan cotto floors and an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary furnishings give the whole house a chic, yet very comfortable and upbeat décor. There's even a quiet study with a large bookcase to peruse nestled under the roof rafters in the tower!

Window screens throughout the house.

Villa Landolfo Review

by Chirag Lakhani
This was our first time renting a villa and from an online agency and (normally hotel people but a 5 year old necessitates space) were hesitant to say the least. We found Italy Prefect online being recommended by one of the travel magazines and decided to try them out. Service timing etc was impeccably and on point. As to the Villa, what can we say, very impressed luxury farmhouse villa. Nice open living spaces, big well stocked kitchen, large private swimming pool with its own kitchen (it is removed from the main house). House is 15 mins drive from a large supermarket but we found with the quantity of food the ladies were cooking any trip to the supermarket was an indulgence. Onto the 2 ladies, Barbara who cleans and is the property manager was wonderfully sweet efficient and got it done. Luana the old Nona who does the cooking, we had the most exceptional food every day. She did not understand the concept that portion sizes were a bit to big for us. Without blinking changed the menu to suit my vegetarian mother and non beef eating father. As a testament our 5 year old ate whatever she cooked including greens, barley and tomatoes) and no mention of wanting anything familiar. Only issue we had was the google coordinates were slightly off but Barbara came to fetch us. We will be back to this villa and will be using Italy Perfect. [Thank you for your great review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

Villa Landolfo Review

by Family of 5 adults from US
Landolfo was an amazing property. The house was beautiful. Kitchen was fully equipped. The pool and pool house were fantastic. Views were breathtaking. Great location to visit nearby Florence, Arezzo , Greve etc. Can't say enough wonderful things about Barbara Antonette and Luanna. They took great care of us while we were there and the home cooking was the BEST food we had the entire trip. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. It was the perfect week! Only suggestions : WIFI by the pool and a quick tutorial of where the circuit breakers/ water pumps are since we had to reset them a few times . Not big deal at all, just nice to know. [We are glad that you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for your suggestion, we will forward it on to the owners. The Italy Perfect Team]

Villa Landolfo Review

by Steve
Note from Italy Perfect: This review is for the L'Albero Bella villa on the same estate, a 3 minute walk from Villa Landolfo. It is managed equally as professionally and wonderfully as Villa Landolfo. We always wanted to spend Easter in Italy, and Italy Perfect made that a reality. We spoke with Kelly and Lisa, and everything they told us about the property and location was spot on. They gave us valuable tips and helped us hone in on our location. I would 100% recommend Italy Perfect for anyone wanting a villa vacation in Tuscany. Seven of us stayed at L'Albery Bello in mid-April of 2019 over the Easter week. We rented a car and drove from the Rome airport. The location was perfect for Tuscany as it is an easy 2 hour drive from Rome. We were greeted by Barbara, and she was absolutely awesome. Her English was fine, and she was willing to do whatever it took to make us happy. The cook, LouAnna, made us excellent dinners and they even have wine for sale at reasonable prices (if you forget to stock up at the grocery). Barbara cleaned every day and the villa was spotless. She even emptied the fireplace ashes and restocked with fresh firewood each afternoon. We had 7 people with us, but the living areas within the villa were big enough to accommodate many more. We were so comfortable that we skipped one of our planned excursions to just relax at the villa. The pool wasn't open yet as it was mid-April, but I could imagine it being even more relaxing at the pool. The only slight downside to the villa was the queen beds upstairs. They were a little firm for our taste. The twins downstairs were actually a bit more comfortable. It wasn't enough to cause an issue, it's just that we prefer a softer mattress. I can't say enough about Barbara and how nice it was to see her every day for a week. On our last day, she introduced us to her husband, and when we left, there were hugs and kisses to go around (and maybe a few tears). We will definitely look to see her on our next trip to Tuscany. From our villa, Florence is within an hour's drive, and Siena is 40 minutes. There are many other small towns to see that are less than 30 minutes. I was a bit nervous to drive from town to town, but the roads were more than easy to navigate. I would recommend using google maps, but make sure to download "offline maps" as the GPS will still work without data reception. We never got lost using this trick. For anyone who is a wine lover, Montalcino is a must see. It is about 45 minutes from the villa by car. We tasted Brunello at local vineyards and spent some time in the city of Montalcino. The San Polino winery was our favorite, and we had a case shipped back to the U.S. The town of Lucignano is a 5 minute drive, or 20 minute walk. The 2 main restaurants in Lucignano are excellent, and the Gelato was the highlight. The owner of the Gelato shop spoke perfect English, and he was very excited to tell us about everything local to the area (very helpful). We spent one afternoon just walking through the town, having lunch at the La Tavernetta and or course having gelato for dessert. Overall, I would definitely recommend Italy Perfect for anyone looking to rent in Italy. L'Albero Bello was an excellent place to stay for the 7 of us. Whether or not we go back isn't the question, it's just a matter of when... [We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip! We look forward to working with you again! The Italy Perfect Team]
