Florence's skyline much as it has appeared for more than 500 years -- beckoning with timeless landmarks.
As comfortable as an English cottage, but in the heart of the historic center of Florence on the Piazza Santa Croce, this tranquil, quiet retreat will welcome you after your days adventures.
The furnishings are luxurious and the position within the building, with the living room and twin bedroom facing the quiet inner courtyard, offers a tranquil retreat from the busy city.
Location
Conveniently located in the heart of the historical center of Florence, in Piazza Santa Croce.
During late May thru late June there is noise in the piazza related to the Calico Storico, historic soccer matches. Late May is bleacher set up, June is practices and matches. If you can catch any of the play-offs (dates not advised in advance) or the final on June 24th, you'll get a lifetime treat and the "best seat in the house" is here; when you rent this apartment, you can see from the office windows. We were astounded when we watched a game from this palazzo. For more information look up Calcio Storico on YouTube or Netflix Home Game series Episode 1.
Exterior
17-century building with a ground floor that is recessed, a historical style.
Interior
On fourth floor (North American designation) of the building adjoining the Palazzo Santa Croce, this elegant apartment has traditional high ceilings and frescoes on the living room walls on either side of the working fireplace.
The master bedroom and the kitchen have original wood beam ceilings.
The apartment faces the internal courtyard of the palazzo so does not experience the sounds of the piazza.
Fully equipped large eat-in kitchen.
Use of the Palazzo private gym included.
