As comfortable as an English cottage, but in the heart of the historic center of Florence on the Piazza Santa Croce, this tranquil, quiet retreat will welcome you after your days adventures.

The furnishings are luxurious and the position within the building, with the living room and twin bedroom facing the quiet inner courtyard, offers a tranquil retreat from the busy city.

Location

Conveniently located in the heart of the historical center of Florence, in Piazza Santa Croce.

During late May thru late June there is noise in the piazza related to the Calico Storico, historic soccer matches. Late May is bleacher set up, June is practices and matches. If you can catch any of the play-offs (dates not advised in advance) or the final on June 24th, you'll get a lifetime treat and the "best seat in the house" is here; when you rent this apartment, you can see from the office windows. We were astounded when we watched a game from this palazzo. For more information look up Calcio Storico on YouTube or Netflix Home Game series Episode 1.

Exterior

17-century building with a ground floor that is recessed, a historical style.

Interior

On fourth floor (North American designation) of the building adjoining the Palazzo Santa Croce, this elegant apartment has traditional high ceilings and frescoes on the living room walls on either side of the working fireplace.

The master bedroom and the kitchen have original wood beam ceilings.

The apartment faces the internal courtyard of the palazzo so does not experience the sounds of the piazza.

Fully equipped large eat-in kitchen.

Use of the Palazzo private gym included.

When we walked into crowded, noisy, Piazza Santa Croce on a warm sunny fall day, the first inclination was to say "Oh, no, we've made a bad choice." for accommodations. To our absolute delight, the apartment we rented did not open over the Piazza and the noise was minimal. The apartment was very well furnished and extremely comfortable. Other than a wonky microwave, things worked well. The only drawbacks were the odd location of a step in the bathroom and the step inside the door, possibly due to renovations and the only way to lay new pipes and wires. The top of the door frame to the kitchen is low, so anyone over 6 feet tall will need to be extra careful not to hit it with his/her head. The staff who welcomed us were helpful and thorough in explaining the instructions relevant to the property. We would definitely look at Italy Perfect for a future trip. [Thank you Verona, we are happy you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team]

This apartment is in a perfect location for exploring Florence. It is spacious, and more than enough space for our family of four. Don't miss the Sant'Ambrogio market for lunch. Thanks to Italy Perfect for a wonderful stay. [Thank you so much! The Italy Perfect Team]

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Toscana. Florence is an ideal base for touring and day trips. We loved the location of the apartment. The Piazza Santa Croce is beautiful and is convenient to everything with all the coffee shops, markets, and restaurants that are near. The apartment is well furnished and had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious. Italy Perfect was great to deal with. We had to make a couple changes on our reservation and Lisa was very helpful. We would definitely rent from them again. [Thank you! The location couldn't be better. Plenty of room for all five of us. Plus everyone had there own bath plus air conditioner in all rooms. Host were very accommodating and answered all questions. Only one flaw kitchen needed a few more items (soap for dishes and surfaces). Our six days couldn't have been better. [We are delighted your stay was so nice. The Italy Perfect team]

Our apartment was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and well equipped. It was located in a historic palazzo turned into apartments on the Piazza Santa Croce. Our interests were in history, art, and architecture so the location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and even manage one of our party in a wheelchair. There is a "super" market a few blocks away for anything from staples to fine wine. We ate well everyday in a restaurant near our morning excursions, so all over the historic area. Food was great everywhere. Our travel companions are world-class consumers of gelato and give world-class honors to the small gelateria around the corner, facing the convent associated with Santa Croce. The folks at Italy Perfect were very helpful. And, yes, I would certainly seek them out again and recommend them to friends.

We were in Casa Toscana for five nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment was very comfortable, and just as pictured - in fact the space was rather larger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen was very well-equipped with nice quality dishes, appliances and everything we needed to cook a festive Christmas dinner. The beds were comfortable, with nice linens and duvets. There was a large storage unit in the hallway for suitcases and coats. As the windows face into a courtyard, it was very quiet. The location, of course, can’t be beaten, right on Piazza Santa Croce, with an easy walk to all the sights and a score of good restaurants. We’d like to thank Francesca for making check in and check out so easy and for arranging a car to take us back to Bologna airport. The driver, Sergio, was very friendly and efficient. We hope to return and have already recommended the apartment to friends. Thanks also to ItalyPerfect for a smooth booking process. A couple of recommendations - Finisterrae on the other side of the square for breakfast pastries and delicious desserts, and Boccadama, right next to the apartment, for lunch or dinner.

I booked Casa Toscana and David apartments because I had a family of 6 adults ranging from 80 years to 18, plus one 8 years old child. Great solution that allowed us some room to relax and yet be together. Location was great. Santa Croce is close to all sights but away from the crowds. The agent that greeted us was very helpful. Plenty of restaurants and very hospitable, clean and well furnished apartments. It was exactly what I had hoped for. I have to thank Lisa that helped me choose the properties and guided me through the booking. I will definitely recommend Italy Perfect. Thank you, Isabella

We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. They are exactly as described and photographed on the Italy perfect website. We really enjoyed being on the Piazza Santa Croche as it was bustling during the day but in the evening many things close down it was a very quiet enjoyable part of town to be in. Just 5 minutes away from the center (Duomo) of town The apartment owners could not have been more accommodating and friendly. We would definitely recommend Italy Perfect to friends In the future, and have already.

Oh what a wonderful find! We certainly had our room with a view in Florence. In fact we had an apartment with a view! Sublime Casa Toscana - peaceful, charming, full of all the mod cons one could wish for in a stunning medieval building and once you opened the front door - Piazza Santa Croce and all of Florence on your doorstep - sheer bliss!

The accommodations were exactly as advertised. The apartment was clean and the greeting was fine and according to plan. I would recommend the apartment for any family that needed a long-term accommodation in Firenze. The location is within walking distance of almost all of the major museums, tourist attractions, and shopping. The only complaint that I have is that there is a charge for internet usage at the apartment. I feel that considering the price of the accommodations, they could throw in free internet access. The other thing is that the entrance to building is on the square so that there are major crowds around the door during the day time hours. It was ok for us, but I can imagine that some others might not be comfortable with that. The Italy perfect people were very helpful and "perfect" I guess. Everything went according to plan. Thanks and arrivederci!

The Casa Toscana apartment in Florence was great. Clean, comfortable, and pretty much everything we expected it to be. Ceci and Francesca were great, and the book they left in the flat contained some really excellent restaurant recommendations and suggestions. Only thing you may want to suggest to them is to leave it a bit better stocked on basics - e.g. they provided only two uses of dish soap, no spices, just some of the small touches that you hate to have to go buy when renting.

We were two families who rented the Casa Toscana and David apartment next door. So convenient to have the connecting doors between the two apartments. Kids loved it, we loved it. Apartments were comfortable and as pictured on the website. Reservations process and working with Italy Perfect was easy. Thanks for all the good info about how to get museum tickets, private tour guides and restaurants.

This beautiful apartment was very comfortable for 4 adults. The location was ideal and the access to the gym was very convenient. I strongly recommend making advance reservations for the Uffizi Gallery and doing the audio tour. We especially liked the Baldovino restaurant and the Wine Bar across the way from it. I would strongly recommend Italy Perfect for their excellent service.

Oh my gosh, the trip was the most beautiful experience we could have asked for.  Wonderful!!!  Thank you for your services! I would go back tonight if I had the chance.  The Medici Apartment in Florence is simply the most beautiful apartment in the world.  Perfect for our big group.  Stately and palatial, with every accomodation we could want.  Huge windows open onto the square where excitement and life take place before your eyes.  Felt like living in a Renaissance Palace!!!  Renee, who manages the Pallazzo, was so wonderful and kind and warm.  We most enjoyed the sights, the activity on the Piazza, the local cafes in the Ambrogio (sp?) neighborhood, the art, the palatial, restful apartment. The art, the art, the art! Noise was an issue but we got a system down of using the air conditioners and fans at night to drown out the partying on the square.  It turned out fine and we got used to the system of windows closed and white noise on.  No other drawbacks or problems at all - everything was truly perfect.  The noise wouldn't have bothered us if we didn't have to be up in the AM with the kids, if we could have slept late like the locals it would have been fine. Perfect, the perfect location - walked everywhere and best gellati in the world was only two blocks away. the Medici Apartment is right in the middle of things - the ONLY place to stay in Florence is what we all decided. The Ambrogio neighborhood was perfect, very authentic and no tourists, The Standa market was perfect - we went there daily to get food to cook in our apartment every night.  We ate out only once and enjoyed great dinners around the huge dining room table. The leather school behind Santa Croce was wonderful! Tips: Try to live like a local, get off the beaten path, book museum tickets ahead of time from home to avoid lines. Your service was wonderful and thorough and helpful in every way.  Seriously.

We rented two apartments in Palazzo Santa Croce from July 2nd to the 16th and spent 6 weeks in Italy overall. It was a marvelous trip and we have returned highly recommending staying in apartments to our friends. We loved and would certainly return to apartments in Florence, particularly Miravista which was light and lovely, and had the wonderful terrace.
