Nestled in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, this stylish and elegant Georgian mews, the Prince Albert, is a hidden gem. Formerly home to super-star Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie, this stunning property is a stone’s throw from the magnificent Natural History Museum and within easy walking distance of the green spaces of Hyde Park. The Prince Albert typifies the exclusive and secluded nature of a classic mews house and with ample living space and two generous bedrooms this home offers the perfect retreat for family or friends.
Spacious and comfortable for up to five guests, the Prince Albert offers sumptuous accommodation, a veritable home away from home. The front door opens onto a large open-plan living area, perfect for entertaining. The open kitchen boasts all modern amenities and is finished to the highest of standards. Arranged over the first floor are a large open library, home to a decorative grand piano (not for guest use) and a convenient half bath. On the second floor are the two bedrooms, the first featuring a luxurious bed, step-out balcony with Mews views and private en suite bathroom. Just down the hall is bedroom 2, also with charming Mews views, and separate bathroom. With the versatile ottoman that converts into a comfortable bed on the first floor, it is perfect for families or friends traveling together.
Fall in love with the charm of this most beautiful and prestigious of districts. From this Kensington base, you can explore iconic Victorian landmarks such as the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall. While strolling through Kensington Gardens, book afternoon tea at the famous Orangery, and dine like royalty or go boating on the Serpentine. Close by is the famous Exhibition Road where you can be inspired by the decorative riches of the Victoria & Albert museum, enthralled by the interactive exhibits at the Science Museum or simply enjoy the historic surroundings from the comfort of one of the many quaint coffee shops. If in need of a little retail therapy, catch a double decker to High Street Kensington, or the King’s Road, where you’ll discover an array of boutiques, bars and restaurants. Just a little further afield, you can spend the day browsing the many floors of the world famous department stores of Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
Less than a 10-minute walk from the nearest tube station, spoil yourself with a trip into the heart of this historic capital. Take in a show in the West End or catch the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace. London really is at your doorstep. The close proximity of a local British pub adds to the authenticity of Prince Albert and it is the perfect place to stop for a meal or a drink on the way home after discovering the city (very occasionally voices can be heard from passers-by late at night from the living room and bedrooms).
