Nicely update but needs full AC

by Elizabeth

The apartment has been renovated and for the most part if all newer. The location is great and we have stayed in this area many times. We had read that there was only AC in one part of the apartment, and did not expect that to be an issue. Unfortunately it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit most of our stay and the second bedroom was unbearable. The AC that exists is only in the main bedroom so even the living room gets extremely hot. We had read in the description that the ac would cool this room if the doors were open but I think it was just too hot. There is a small fan in the second bedroom, but even with the windows open at night it was sweltering. You can tell a lot of money was spent on the renovation so why they did not install another AC is a bit strange. Also, the tub, is very uncomfortable, and is really more of a show piece than something to soak and relax in. The sides are perfectly straight so you can't lay back and relax. You have to sit in it perfectly straight up which was disappointing, since we book places with a tub since we love to use them. This apartment has more bathroom space than any I have ever seen in Paris. There are 3 showers, 1 tub, and 2 toilets. But the funny thing is that the main bathroom in the master bedroom has 2 showers but no toilet, so you have to go all the way down the hall and up the stairs for a toilet. It would have made more sense to put a toilet in there instead of two separate showers. The large second bath has a shower, the tub and a toilet all in one space and both bathrooms are huge! Beds were both very comfortable. The kitchen was great.

Thank you for your valuable feedback, Elizabeth. We regret the AC unit was not sufficient for the unusually hot summer this year. Regrettably, most buildings in Paris restrict the installation and use of air conditioning and therefore it is not a common amenity for have in apartments.

Building regulations in Paris are strict and international visitors often find bathroom layouts different to what they are used to.

We are pleased you enjoyed the location, space, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds in this apartment.

Millau Review

The Millau apartment was beautifully furnished and perfectly located. Everything was elegant without being fussy. Walking distance to Bon Marche made groceries/meals very simple for the times we were not eating out. I would return to this apartment again without hesitation.
